5 +++stars for Nicole on Saturday, June 10 working in INC area. She was a huge help in finding pants and a shirt size for me. Just a great personal and approachable persona! She also Recommended a fab lunch spot(Whiskey Cake). If I lived in the area she would be my go to gal !

Apparently no one works in the men’s shoe dept. on Friday nights during the holidays.

The past few years I have mostly done all my shopping online. I rarely go to the malls here in OK, and if I do I never go to Macy’s. This weekend, I was desperate and tried every store. Well I’m glad I did. I found out they started selling one of my favorite brands there. And the girls that helped me in the clothing section were fantastic! They were eager to help, and placed all my clothes in the dressing room by outfits they thought looked good together and helped me find pieces to complete other outfits. They were so much help and fun to shop with!

How come every single time I go in this store, the employees look at me and my husband like we are trashy and going to steal something? Excuse me? But YOU work in retail which is not a bad thing, but it doesn’t mean you have the right to look down at people, you don’t know me. Lol. It just pisses me off. On a better note, the place is always stocked slap full and for the most part, they have cute stuff. Store is clean and well kept.

I’m not sure if I was wrong to expect customer service from Macy’s at Penn Square(MaPS). Generally, department stores aren’t known for customer service. Department stores are known for: — Sales in their various(aptly named) «departments.» — Middle-aged seasonal employees who are there to make some extra money that they can then spend on Christmas presents for kids who won’t appreciate the effort. — Teenagers who want a job that requires little thought and above average phalangeal dexterity(I know because I used to be an assistant to the regional manager in a similar department store). But even with my expectations set low, MaPS managed to disappoint me recently. Something that should have taken maybe ten minutes(because I made sure to go at the least busy time possible) ended up taking more than one hour. And it wasn’t even because I didn’t know what I wanted. It’s because I was being ignored by two employees, and being helped by one(crotchety) employee who was confused about what I was wanting. At one point, I started pacing back and forth in front of the two employees who were ignoring me to see if they would acknowledge me. Twenty minutes passed before the other employee(who was always busy with other customers) got back to me, and in that time, the two young’uns carried on like I didn’t exist. The man who was helping me was only able to help in short bursts, and then he would take 15 minutes to ring up a customer. Then I told him I wanted to try a different size and a different style of shoes. He brings me the same style in a different size. After 15 more minutes, when he returned, I pointed out he brought the wrong style and then he brought me the right style, but in the size I didn’t need. By the third or fourth attempt, he managed to figure it out. As far as fashionable dress options; the fashion buyers who keep MaPS stocked must be… older. When you shop at Macy’s stores in PA, NJ, NY, etc., there are some exceptionally stylish clothing and shoes options, and people(who aren’t paying attention) would assume you spent a lot of money on what you’re wearing. I walked in to MaPS expecting the same after being spoiled on the East Coast Macy’s stores, and it was a really sad moment to realize that the options here are leaning more towards… Midwestern country club attire. Not bad… Just not my style. That probably comes off as more high falutin’ than I intended. Your best bet is to order from the website, because there’s much more variety, and I’ve never paid for shipping and handling yet. And if a size is wrong, you take it to MaPS and get your money back. Keep your receipt though. They won’t even make an effort to acknowledge your online purchase if you don’t have it.

They need to SERIOUSLY renovate this place. If I’m walking through and tripping on multiple tiles that are cracked and popping up, something is wrong. The whole store is literally falling apart. The carpet is fraying, leaving chunks pulling up. The men’s fitting rooms are terrible and lack locks on the doors(or even completely functioning doors). They are the old school doors that are missing wooden slats so anyone walking past can see you getting undressed.
