When it comes to ordering Mexican food, I tend to take the same approach as Johnny Depp’s character from «Once Upon a Time In Mexico” — if available, I get the same dish every time in every restaurant. Having said that, Los Mariachis didn’t shame themselves with their food. It was solidly good– the verde sauce has a nice tang– and would hold it’s own with any other decent Mexican restaurant in the area. What subtracts two stars from my review is the service– the person clearing tables managed to knock over my full water glass straight into my lap and only offered a half-​hearted «sorry» and two paper napkins in apology. Personally, if I had just soaked a customer in ice water on a winter afternoon, I’d be comping her meal and practically prostrating myself on the floor in front of her. The food might have been even better than I’m remembering but I was too clammy and irritated to be paying much attention. Worth checking out but make sure you have on rubber pants.
