Sushi was so very dry, and the language barrier made it difficult for the waitress, and our order was wrong which caused us to have to wait that much longer. Sadly, probably won’t go back.

Love it, love it, LOVEIT! Sophisticated Asian cuisine delivered to my home. They can’t always deliver themselves, but it is worth the short drive. Get the Fried Calamari and the Mountain Roll. Perfect supper.

Words can not express how I feel right meow! I have ate at this place for five years off and on and tonight there is no going back… Horrible. Normally the food is more upscale tasting and light. Our sushi was dry even though we ordered a Mountain and a Hurrikane. There was a major language barrier because although we ordered Pad Thai no one knew what chopped peanuts and cilantro was… So whole peanuts is what we were served. Oh! How could I for get the bug found in our Wong-tongs. We were offered 30% off… Any thoughts?

Yesterday I had a craving for sushi, and instead of going to my usual spots I thought I’d search to see what AYCE places were available on a weeknight. We were in luck, kangs has a Wednesday(only) AYCE for $ 19.99. We get there and we debated leaving because there was only about 10 rolls on the ayce menu, with no nigiri available. We press our luck and decide to order. Wait staff was good with no problems noted. Apps came out quickly and the kids enjoyed their soup and edamame. The miso was a little salty for my taste. When the sushi arrived we were excited to try our rolls, which turned into laughter at the fish portion size, finally disappointment. I’ve never seen cuts of fish so small both inside and outside the rolls. We asked our waiter to tell the chef to please increase the fish amount for our final roll but with no luck. We paid $ 80 for us and our 3 kids and left unsatisfied that we ate flavored rice most of the evening. Perhaps the non-AYCE portions are better but regardless, we won’t be returning.

Actually… 4.5. I say 4 and my husband gives them a 5. The building is in a bit of a strange place but we found it via the Waze app. My first impression walking in was, contemporary. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had great service. They were helpful and able to answer or questions. She made some suggestions when I didn’t see what I wanted, and made a great sushi roll substituting a few ingredients. We started off with egg rolls and egg drop soup. Both, very good. Then we ordered the Orange chicken, general tao chicken and chicken lo mein. I have been in search for the same Orange chicken that was served at another place that changed owners… So far it has eluded me, but this was close and good. The general tao chicken was also very good. The lo mein was great. We ate till we were full and had plenty to take home. I would highly recommend eating at Kangs. It was a wonderful experience.

Orange chicken and noodles are great. The sushi is less then sub par. I would not recommend coming here for sushi. I’m still on the hunt for good sushi in okc.

Sadly, I need to go ahead and down grade my review. I especially didn’t want to because I was the proud owner of a ROTD for it. But, neveretheless, I must rank it down to only A-OK. When I first came here, I raved about this place to all of my friends. Great date place, excellent portions and price. Didn’t feel stressed and rushed(though sometimes it was a little too laid back service). In the year and a half that I’ve been coming here, they have not replaced the stain-covered signs on the table nor repaired the scratch in their city screen over the window.(Not a big deal, but aesthetics people!) I still like the atmosphere over all,(remains the same as it was) but it could use a little touching up. Most every time I come, the service is slow and mediocre. And empty. I have quite the knack for choosing to eat at Kang’s during their completely slow times. That or no one really likes coming here. We have been the only patrons more than once. There have been a couple of times that the waitress was abrupt, as if annoyed that we were interrupting her plans of sitting and looking at her phone. They may have brought that back Happy Hour in an attempt to bring in the crowd; they do constantly have a Groupon deal. For the current prices I would expect some better roll combinations and a little more extravagance. Some of their main dishes seem very processed. Definitely difficult to eat if it isn’t the same day you ordered it. Their spring rolls have definitely shrunk and are now puny. The peanut sauce is thick and tastes off. The miso soup was terrible. Not clear even after sitting. Too much tofu — I guess to fill space. I didn’t finish mine. I’ll only go for their sushi here, which is still pretty good, portioned well, and fresh.

We ordered the orange chicken. The chicken tasted like it ha been precooked, reheated and a sauce ladled on it. The fried rice was overcooked and tasted like it had been heated in the microwave. We do NOT recommend this restaurant.

Gave it average rating because food was diverse. Ate here with a friend. She raved about Gecko roll and food. The sushi was fantastic but the Mongolian Beef and Chicken Fried Rice we also ate was very, very average. Service was attentive and friendly. Though it’s a true asian place and he didn’t always understand us… LOL My first time here. She had been here before and thinks it’s great. But I’m going to have to give it another chance and then maybe update my rating.

Hands down the WORST place i have ever eatin sushi at besides the Asian buffets that have cold crappy sushi also, I saw that they were having a promotion on Wednesdays for all you can eat sushi for $ 17.99 I was like«hell yeah!» So when we got there the place was looking kinda dead«I wonder why?» It definitely needs to be remodeled. The place is starting to look pretty much run down. So first couple of rolls were okay and after we started to get the other rolls I noticed they were giving us half assed sushi rolls! My sassy roll was cold and was missing my cream cheese! My husbands was missing his cucumber! And the shrimp pieces were like so small you could barely see it. It was mainly rice to get you full faster I’m guessing. So towards the end this is our last roll and my brother in laws sushi had a piece of hair fried into the sushi roll YUCK!!! I gagged and gave up on eating after that. They did not charge him but I’m still not coming back. All u can eat good sushi is too good to be true!

I found out about Kang’s from purchasing a Groupon. I’m so glad I bought it! We had excellent service and enjoyed the sushi. We had the California roll and the 911 roll and let me tell you, the 911 roll nearly had me sweating because the sauce was so hot. I wouldn’t get it again but if you like spicy, you’ll love it; just a bit too much for me. I also had the edamame and hot & sour soup which was also good. Nice selection of sake as well. I’m interested in trying some of their Chinese dishes so I probably will be returning at some point!

There is no greater decision to be made when staring at the star rating system and trying to decide what describes your feelings more. I make it a dramatic monologue in my head until I can decide. My decision with Kang’s isn’t me exclaiming, «Yay! I’m a fan!». I’m not eager to go back, but it was also A-OK. It borders on 4 stars, but it is far away from a lousy 2. Make sense? I sure hope so. Our server was very nice and on the ball. At first it took a strangely extended time to get water when we were one of maybe three tables there, but after that it was smooth sailing. I could probably chalk it up to the fact that Kang’s is one of those places with split hours and this was 30 minutes into their second opening period. I could be wrong, but let’s say I’m not. He was friendly and was sure to keep up us to date on the status of the food when he came by to check on us and refill drinks Gyoza 5⁄5 — I thought their(fried) gyoza was rather tasty. The garlic sauce that comes with it made it much better, too. Sassy roll 3⁄5 — This was just alright. The shrimp in the roll tasted like it came frozen out of a bag. I’m not saying that it’s common to get super fresh shrimp around here, but it was just very obvious to me. There wasn’t as much masago as I’d like so chalk that up to personal preference, because it was one of the main reasons I chose the roll. They were put together well, though. Sturdy and didn’t fall apart easily. Chicken fried rice 3⁄5 — I found their fried rice to be rather bland. That’s all there is to it, really. It’s, of course, edible but not something I’d order as a side. The reason my boyfriend and I went there is because Groupon had a $ 15 for $ 30 deal(at this time) and I already had some Groupon bucks so we spent $ 7 on it. Before the discount, the meal was $ 31(my boyfriend got the chicken fried rice and an entrée, too). After the discount, we paid $ 3. Hah, not bad! But it cost $ 8 or so total after tip. Maybe I’ll go there again and try a different sushi roll or a dinner entrée. I’m not ruling Kang’s out, and the prices are pretty okay, so I would encourage others to try it as well if they’re in the neihgborhood.

went for all you can eat sushi and it was just a bunch of rice wrapped in seaweed. I work in restaurants and think I have only complained once ever in my life. This was the second. server took the roll back and brought another just the same after agreeing the first one was all rice. Paid for the one roll i did eat and left. go to fuji in edmond for happy hour on tuesday and thursday’s. not a huge menu but good.

What attracted me to this place: 1) ALLYOUCANEATSUSHI, TUESDAY&WEDNESDAY $ 17.99/person. If you eat more then 2 sets of rolls, then this deal is right up your alley. I also noticed they had one special roll on the AYCE menu that is not on the reg menu. 2) Nyotaimori. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I saw a couple pictures from this place of a naked woman covered with sushi. They don’t mention this on the website or menu, but if you have pictures, that’s proof it exists! Personally, I would not eat sushi off ANYONE’S naked body(that includes Channing Tatum, Ryan Gosling, or any hunky actor out there. Dude, I don’t think I’d even eat off my own BF’s body! Eek!), but I won’t judge you if that’s something you’d like to do: P This is another hybrid«asian bistro» type joint, but in the Nicols Hills. Ambiance and décor has it’s own unique swagger. The interior is themed in white, red and black. One window has a decal of a city scape. I couldn’t pin point the location. The booths are tall and made of white leather. I could still faintly hear my neighbors conversations. Only 2 people were working the floor, which made me rethink my choice to order AYCE sushi. My waitress was a busy little worker bee. I ordered the Tempura roll because of the masago surrounding the outside of the roll and a green tea. I didn’t like the flavor of my green tea, but drank it because well… I paid for it. They did not skimp on the masago, but the roll itself was just ok. The rice was tight, smushy and had a lingering vinegar taste. It could have been masked with wasabi, but I never got any on my plate. Wah?! I guess I could have asked, but I felt like my waitress was ignoring me. Maybe because she thought I wouldn’t order anymore food? She was pretty busy. It made me sad. That’s why I made the trip to Tokoyo immediately after. I will come back for AYCE sushi and vie for redemption!

The service is amazing as the waiter even helped us out to choose the rolls that we would like. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are amazing since you only pay $ 18 for a whole variety of rolls and it is all you can eat. I know sushi buffet is not something that usually sounds appealing, but these are made on the spot and they are of a real good quality. It is very affordable considering that at any other good sushi spot you would pay the same price for a single role that does not guarantee to fill you up or even have the taste you were expecting. I really recommend it specially for the Tuesday/Wednesday specials!

Not as flashy as Neko nor as authentic as Tokyo, Kang’s is able to nicely fill a void in the OKC sushi scene. The food is excellent and affordable, and with noodle dishes, fried rice and a wide range of sushi choices, it’s a great fit for a crew of folks even if they’re not all big sushi fans. My sister and I checked this out last week and really enjoyed it. We split a shrimp noodle dish that was excellent, a rainbow roll and a geisha roll. The service was excellent, and our server was really friendly which made it more fun. The only odd thing about this restaurant, and this is just a silly observation and not a criticism, but it feels like a film set, or a raw space that was just recently converted. There is a large empty space in the middle, and the booths on one side and tables on the other feel like they were just moved in. Maybe it is just because of the way it is laid out and the lighting is weird, but can anyone back me up on this? I’m always afraid the people from What Not to Wear are going to spring up out of the back or my family has staged an intervention to help me kick the habit of eating out too often. Anyone? Film set or no, just thinking about it long enough to write a review has made me hungry!

Wow. who knew OKC had good asian food! This place was pretty good and the prices were decent. We stopped by here for lunch on a weekday, which was pretty dead but good for us because our food came out pretty quick. We ordered their famous shrimp fried rice $ 7.95 which came with a generous amount of large prawns. Also ordered were hot and sour soup, sauteed noodles and crispy hot battered chicken that came with a side of sweet and sour. We were told the chicken was made fresh to order and battered daily so nothing was frozen in the process. The noodles were surprisingly delicious as well but semi-oily which probably made it taste so good. The price came out to be $ 35 with tax + tip for 4 adults. Definitely good spot to grab lunch or get your asian food fixin’.
