This place shows some of the freshest artists in OKC. Pretty much I know to expect surprises in the ideas, materials and viewing experience. They’re never-complacent, showing emerging and experienced artist with new voices in a converted warehouse. It’s super welcoming and hope for questions, so you don’t need to feel intimidated by the gallery. There’s lots of special events– story slams, music and more– so you can come to see the visual art or other activities. (Bonus: the gallery adjoins a glass blowing studio too, so fun to watch them heat up and design glass in person!).

Whoa. This place gets a like whoa. We walked over there last night and found it by the music coming from the yard and the people chilling on the roof. The space itself is just Whoa. On the bottom is a set of studio/gallery space, where the work shops are just as amazing as the actual pieces that they produce. The work shop area is a converted garage and the space is so industrial and perfect you start to get jealous of their situation even if you aren’t an artist. The middle is a living space. possibly the most amazingly perfect living space in Oklahoma city, a SOHO convert combined with actual space for stuff and an openness that allows for light and air to make the feeling of openness that I have yet to experienced in a dwelling. There is a nice roof deck, and the whole place is surrounded by a yard. Check this place out, if there is a function, check this place out, if you run, run to this place.

I attended my first story slam at this venue a few weeks ago and had a great time. The gallery is full of interesting, high-quality art from emerging as well as established local artists. The atmosphere is anything but uptight. Very accessible and great for anyone who might not have visited a gallery before as well as seasoned gallery goers. The gallery is co-located with Blue Sage Studio and The Art Fusion Studio, so you can visit those as well while you’re there. I believe they participate in the Paseo’s first Friday gallery walk(even though they’re not on the Paseo), and have various events(like the story slam) during the month. Great addition to OKC!
