My wife and I just moved downtown and we are trying new restaurants. Heard about ingrids, dinner was great, bought a pie, cookies and a Canoli. Everything was great. Ingrids is now on our list for the future!

Love the grobe bratwurst. Completely skip the braised red cabbage since that is not very good but they let you get extra kraut or potato salad which both are very good. A little on the expensive side for a lunch but completely worth it.

Ingrids is the best! We go here every few months. Has a little bar on the side that is really under appreciated by the neighborhood. All of the food is good, seriously, but we recommend the Sunday brunch buffet. Saturday brunch is also delicious but does not include the pastry buffet with delicious bread pudding and hard sauce and warm, chocolate molten cake. Be sure not just start filling up your plate before you check out all of the offerings. The German food is at the end of the breakfast buffet line. Also, be sure to notice that there is day old bread cabinet that sells reduced priced goodies and cookies. This place is actually a real bakery. All of the bread is and baked items are cooked there fresh as well as cakes to order. On Sat. a very popular polka style plays. On the weekdays the regular menu has delicious offerings for a good price.

The food was pretty good, the prices were absurd, and the service minimal. The highlights of the evening were the worst lounge act on earth which sounded like a ramada inn piano bar meets hee haw, and the dim bulb rearranging every chair in the room by dragging them across the concrete floor. Ingrid’s again? There must be something better!

I stopped by here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The buffet looked good and was very reasonable so I tried it. Unfortunately, by the time I got my coffee and my breakfast, everything was lukewarm. Next time, I will order off the menu and skip the buffet. Maybe then, I will be able to give a higher rating.

Lacy was on the ball!!! She was pleasant and attentive. We had been on the road all day, driving from Colorado, and fell into this place on TV Food maps and Unilocal.Absolutely worth the stop!!! Had the German potato skins that could have made an entire meal. Both of u ordered the brat and schnitzel and we were both delighted. When it was time to go, we were shopping for some Yums for our hotel room and she continued to be helpful and knowledgable. Well worth the stop.

I walked in through a busy bar area noticing German beer on tap. I filed in line and picked up a menu which had a variety of sections. I decided on the weiner schnitzel. I proceeded next to retrieve a beer and decided on a Bitburger. Great choice! Great pilsner. My food was out quickly after I returned with my liter of beer. As for the food, it was good. I didn’t care for the cabbage as I thought it was a little bland, but that’s a personal taste issue. Next was the dessert. I had marzipan, a chocolate mousse canoli and a lemon bar. Omg, the desserts knocked it out of the park. All the time I was sitting in my little corner the owner greated everyone and gave them guidance. She helped me pick out dessert even. I highly recommend this place.

Had Sunday brunch here today. The food was fantastic and the service was equally good. The food was plenty with lots of choices. Went with my sister and her family. She is vegetarians and she had good choices too. I had too much to even make it to the deserts.

Best brunch in town. Nudges out Cheever’s, my 2nd favorite, because they have a buffet so you can try a little(or a lot) of everything. Hands down BEST oven fried chicken EVER! It is absolute perfection. I can’t get enough of it. I love the biscuits and gravy. Eggs are good, eggs benedict is great when you get it right when it’s brought out. I love the greasy bacon… it’s like, it’s made that greasy on purpose. The brats and sauerkraut and mustard are so yummy. Great hashbrown casserole dish. I love it all. Bread pudding and that amazing bourbon butter sauce to top it all off! The dessert table is quite impressive. I’d like to try more things on it, but I eat too much chicken and have no room! Always good service over the many, many years we’ve been going. If I had one complaint, it’s that I wish the macaroni salad was available all the time. Not a bad complaint LOL!

I have yet to have one bad meal at Ingrid’s, and j doubt it’ll happen any time soon! The schnitzel is great and big enough for two people. I’ve also had their chicken salad on a croissant and it’s one of my favorites. As for dessert, I typically ask the staff to recommend something new every time and their recommendations haven’t disappointed. The wait time can be a little long if the restaurant is busy, but other than that it’s a great treasure in OKC for German food.

The food tastes really good, I had the schnitzel and bratwurst plate it was awesome. The sides were really tasty, especially the potato salad. The deserts were nicely made and were very moist(cake). The food is cheap and you get a lot out of it, the only complain I have is that the deserts are a 3rd of the price meal. Service could be better but it’s not bad. I highly recommend this place to get your taste of good quality German food.

The fresh made food/bread is good, but the employees are rude. The deli people closed their registers down early at 9:40pm on 01÷09÷16 and made us pay for deli meat and sliced cheese at the bar! Then the bartender started sweeping around us and spraying cleaner right after serving us drinks and said«we have the freedom to close early when we want». But I had to ask first. Then we heard them talking about how they wanted us to leave as they walked out. Closed at 10pm on a Saturday night? We spent over $ 50 in 10 min and couldn’t even finish our drinks. I’ve been here about 20 times by the way. Tipped 15% anyways, but… not…not…not… going back. …I get it, you have to post the apologetic response to save face. I’ve never seen you there in 20 visits and I seriously doubt anything will change if I come back. We weren’t the only table being rushed out that night on the bar side, and another couple came in at 9:45 pm to the deli while we were ordering meat and we’re tolld by the woman closing down the register that they could not go into the bar side to order anything. They did not look happy. This are customers that you will not be getting back. Just saying…

I’m really sad to write this but I’m also really shocked by the way we were treated. Walked in to buy bread at 1pm on Sunday, the brunch crowd was dwindling and we just wanted a fresh loaf of bread. No one greeted us, despite the man behind the cash register staring us down. So I walked over to the bread selection and had two waiters bump into me, but failed to ask if I needed help, just glared at me for existing. All the while the man behind the cash register kept staring at me. I finally asked and he curtly said, «we don’t have that bread.» I’ve been coming to Ingrid’s since Curly was alive and playing in the 6 piece band and have never been treated with such contempt and rudeness.

A friend took me to this Ingrid’s location for dinner, and I’m so glad he did. Otherwise I might not have found this gem. This is the most authentic German food I’ve eaten in the OKC area — I even liked it more than Royal Bavaria in Norman(although they win on beer for it being made in-house). You can’t go wrong with the Bratwurst and Schnitzel plate, and I like how my buddy described it as a great«blind menu» place — anything you close your eyes and point at will be good. The veal brat was incredible, as was the red cabbage and potato salad(authentic with vinegar and mustard, not mayo). They do sandwiches if you want lighter fare and a daily special. The bar area is more comfortable and cozy than the restaurant/deli side, and there’s a good cocktail menu, wine and 6 or 8 good beers on tap, many of them German(of course), and served in very tall glasses. Pricing is very reasonable considering the quality of food. Service was excellent that night; Charlie took great care of us. Big parking lot and easy to find with maps/GPS, but not something you’d see from a main road, as it’s located in a neighborhood. The deli… omg…try the Marzipan cookies and rum cake. They also have these pecan sandy-type cookies that I can’t recall the name of but couldn’t stop eating for their buttery and delectable taste. A giant cinnamon roll and cherry Hamentaschen were also great. I wanted to buy one of everything. They’re offering a New Year’s dinner(by reservation) that sounds fantastic on the menu board, and I’ve heard brunch is amazing, too. Took my leftovers home. Judge me if you want, but I wasn’t leaving anything behind.

Ingrid’s is a hole in the wall, kind of in the middle of the neighborhood. They have a bakery and also a full menu of German food. The service is not that great. Most of the employees seem grumpy. The food is great! I have tried the Reuben and the snitzel on a different occasion. I also love the thumbprint cookies. I wish the sandwiches came with a side item, like the potato salad. The snitzel came with cabbage, potatoes, and sauerkraut.

Went to this place first cause it was on DDD for all you guy fieri fans out there. It is a fun and comfortable place. Tooons of bakery items and goodies that makes it almost impossible to choose. The actual food is legit too. I recommend the Reuben, some brat, and the schnitzel though. If you’re very hungry, come to Sunday brunch and eat til you might explode. They have lots of options and great desserts too. Bread pudding? Why yes please. This is one of a couple German places in the county and definitely a good one at that. Come get some food and support this unique establishment in OKC.

Brunch: Yep. I’m not usually a brunch person but a group of Unilocalers made a UYE for here and I’ve been wanting to try it, brunch or not. Now I know that if I want to go to brunch, Ingrid’s is the place to do it. There is plenty of room to move around and decent service that kept our glasses full. Oh yeah, the food. It’s great. They have a long breakfast island, a small island with lunchy stuff and silverware, and there’s also an area for desserts. Their take on biscuits and gravy is some of the best I’ve had and they have this cheesy potato mash thing that is exceptional if not a but powerful on flavor. There’s more stuff, but I think it would be a hit with anyone into breakfast food or German food.

It looks very unassuming when you walk up… but definitely go in! I ordered the brat plate, flipping amazing! You get a hearty portion of potatoes salad, red cabbage, and kraut with the brats. I was a fan of the smoked brat personally. I normally dislike… on the verge of hate… German potatoes salad, but I scarfed every last bit of theirs. Delicious all around. This is also a functioning bakery so all the sweets surround you and fill you with happy. Nutshell: definitely a must stop for traditional German food, hearty portions for a good price.

My husband’s family lived in Germany for many years and enjoy coming here whenever they’re together. If you’re a meat and potatoes type of person, this is the place for you. One of the reasons why I like this place is for its diversity in food options. I’m a picky eater but can find something on their menu to satisfy my taste buds. I also heard their brunch and breakfast is awesome. I personally came here for the deli sandwich that’s actually deli sliced meat from a turkey or ham(not lunch meat). As a pregnant woman I can’t tell you my happiness with my simple meal. I ordered two sandwiches! This is a nice place with a nice staff.
