Been boating there a few months now and always have a good time.

It’s not a terribly developed lake, but it’s water and nature and walking trails. There was a race going on when I arrived, which was kinda neat to see. I took my dog here to walk around something more interesting than our neighborhood for the 1000th time, and I really enjoyed it!
Dirt paths skirt around the lake (at least for the 45 min walk we took they did, I can’t attest to if they go all the way around or not) and the breeze off the lake helps keep you somewhat cool on a warm morning.
Definitely not as refined as Lake Hefner, but as a much closer to home alternative for me I think it’ll do just fine.
