Deep Deuce Grill

I’ve been here twice now. Drinks have been nice. Had a s’mores cocktail, and could of had many. They also have an interesting selection of beers. Though can’t remember what kind I had.
First time I went I had their Reuben Sandwich with fries. It was OK, needed more stuff on it. More Thousand Island dressing, and maybe a little bit more sauerkraut and cheese.
Last time, and I do mean my last time eating there, I had the Black and Blue Burger with fries. I only ate less than half of it, the meat was not terribly fresh.
So, for drinks, yes. Food, not so much.

Food & service is great most of the time. However, beware before asking or accepting a position from this location. At first I enjoyed working here and I loved the guests. I was told that I always did a great job and that my fellow employees enjoyed working with me. However, come to find out as I’m filing my taxes for 2015, ZERO dollars had been getting deducted from my paychecks for Federal Taxes as stated on my W2. On top of that, after trying to contact the «manager» several times & leaving a voicemail, I am told, the next day, that they have to let me go due to lack of consistency on my schedule. Something that had NEVER been brought up before and was a KNOWN factor when I started. I had also asked the week prior if I needed to be worried about my job because other employees had been let go for mystery reasons. I was told by the «manager» I had nothing to worry about, apparently I did. I have always given quality service and went above and beyond to help fellow staff members. This is a privately owned bar and it is very clear there is no real manager in the place. The employees run the bar and on any given night you will see «manager» taking shots with guest. If you ask the manager a question or for help, like my job or W2, I’m referred to speak to someone else because they have no idea how it works. I am shocked at how they handle business and I highly discourage anyone from working here, which is sad for me to even have to say. Again, as a place to come and enjoy food and beverages it is great but not a place I would ever recommend to work after everything that has happened.

Ambience is very friendly. Food came out quickly and very tasty.

Where to start, but the best part. When the waiter asked what kind of vodka I wanted in my margarita I should of left. But I was with co-​workers. I ended up with not-​a-​rita. I think it was Sprite with sour mix. That was after I had the house special. Which I think was Sprite with vodka and two limes — I guess the two limes made it special. I think a 14 year old girl came up with that special because they stopped making her favorite bottled wine cooler. And then the food. I ordered a French dip that had a soggy bun — I think it sat on the line for a while after it was made — and meat that was too salty — coming from a lover of salt — that was fused to a slab of cold cheese. Good luck.

My husband and I came in to watch the Ou/​Kansas game on Saturday afternoon. I have frequented this bar/​pub many many times in the past ten years. Miss Jessie the bar manager in her stripey sweater, was being SUPER BITCH About her patio patron s not having the game on outside, not caring if the game was on, because she wasn’t watching it. The waitress was upset, because her patrons were leaving because they could not get the sound on. We had a great seet in house in front of the OU game, our food was delish, but I could have done with out being INSULTED FOR being an OU fan wanting to enjoy a cocktail, meal and watch the game. Shame on you Jessie for only giving a shit about being on your IPad and insulting your bar patrons!!!

Awesome Moscow Mules, awesome service. We had the philly and the sliders. Oh and the pretty fabulous loaded waffle fries. Not sure why such a low rating but the whole experience was cool.

Some of the best Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had, and their burgers are delicious too. In fact, everything is delicious (for a bar and grill). Good beer selection, could use a few more options, but a great atmosphere. Thursday night trivia nights are the best.

I was reluctant about this place, but I am very glad I tried it out. I initially went to a new corndog place for some food during some bar hopping, but I just wanted something more satisfying. I have heard good things about DDG’s food, and the things I heard were a bit under what my experience panned out to be.
I ordered the El Cubano sandwich with sweet potato fries, and beans and rice. The Cubano Sandwich was so fantastic it made me want to swim in it. wowwaweewa! The pork was so tasty and tender as well as the ham, the way the two meats combined with the swiss was marvelous, and the pickles with the mustard are a great combination themselves, but with the flaky bready bread and all ingredients together it made for a truly superb craft sandwich. I was advised that the bread is flown in from Florida specifically for the sandwich, and all of ingredients for their entire menu was fresh except for a couple of fried items; literally a couple.
There was an outdoor concert playing a block or two away and the wait-​staff had advised they are usually busier for a Saturday night, so I am glad they weren’t slammed; I am sure the experience would be the same though, because the kindness from the wait-​staff was too genuine.

We went there for the first time last night. Visiting the area for the first time. The place is a beautiful building with a lot of history. Anthony was our server. He was wonderful. Very energetic with some great stories to tell. We had good food and would rate our experience as excellent. If we lived here we would be regulars there. Thanks Anthony for taking care of us so well. Thanks to the cook as well!

Average food at best HOWEVER, perfect place for cocktails on the patio with the fire pit and sports! Great people watching during late hours & patio pet friendly :-)

I ordered the lobster rolls and they were ok. A little lean on the lobster and suspect on if they were actual lobster but it was good enough. The fries were awesome and the service was good. Apparently, it was trivia night but it was too old school it participate. Literally, paper notes you had to deliver to the mc after each question. Overall, this place is pretty fun and i assume the people that live near by love it.

Nice spot in the Deep Deuce area. Friendly staff & pretty good food. Lots of shareable appetizers too if you’re just wanting something small with cocktails. On a nice day sitting on the patio is fun. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area

Decent place in Deep Deuce. Typical bar food and drinks. I came in with a group after a concert and we all had some drinks. I just had a beer, but a few girls I was with got a cherry vanilla drink that they all loved and was really good! My sister also got the macaroni and cheese to snack on and it was decent. Nothing to rave about, but it tasted good. Our server wasn’t super friendly but she was quick. I wouldn’t mind coming back for a drink or burger or something.

Usually the service is okay to good. Had bad service a few times. You go in the spring and summer and fall for the patio atmosphere. Red beans and rice, blackened chicken Caesar salad, lobster rolls (be careful with your butter) are all favorites of mine.

For delicious bar food, good beer and friendly folks, Deep Deuce is our new hangout. I’ve ordered off of the menu and had chicken strips, Reuben sand and the chicken wrap — simply excellent.

I was going to give this place 3 stars, but after reading other people’s posts, I agree with the reasoning… for a «sports» or «neighborhood» bar, it really is good. Plenty of TVs, decent domestic specials, outdoor seating. But if you’re looking for stand-​out pub food, it’s just average. Had the mac n cheese, and it was bland. The Pub Burger was sloppy and meh. Fries and pretzels were good though. Mixed/​Specialty drinks are overpriced for the amount of alcohol. Stick with beers here.

What a wonderful little hidden gem! This bar has $ 2 beer happy hour beers and great food, what more could you ask for?
I ordered their lobster rolls and fries, they were so delicious! Lobster is always delicious but their bread is incredibly tasty. Words don’t do justice, it’s a must try. For an appetizer I ordered the chicken nachos: very tasty as well! I was very impressed at the quality and deliciousness of their food.
The atmosphere is chill. The bar/​restaurant is mostly dark colors on the inside so it gives it an edgy feeling. Service was great and bathrooms were clean; which are a must for me! I will definitely be returning once I move to Oklahoma City next month.

This is a solid neighborhood bar and grill, but it didn’t blow me away. I think the 3 star Unilocal rating sums it up: A-​OK.
I had an early lunch at Deep Deuce. We met at 11:30, and the place already had about a half dozen tables seated. By the time lunch got into full swing, it was nearly full. Service was great, we were approached immediately for drink orders and had our iced tea in couple of minutes.
I went with the blackened bleu cheese burger. It is (allegedly) served with Cajun spices, bleu cheese crumbles, and a bleu cheese cream. I got a ton of bleu cheese flavor, but no Cajun flavor. I regretted not ordering the Tejas burger or the Jap Jap Jap burger, both of which would have likely had some heat. So, all I had was a burger patty with a lot of bleu cheese flavor. I love bleu cheese, so this isn’t all bad, but I was expecting some Cajun spices and blackening. Also, I ordered the burger medium, and it was completely cooked through. So, it was drier than it should have been.
The waffle fries are good, and you get a ton of them. I didn’t finish the order. But, they were overly fried, the majority of them were too crispy. They have sort of a beer type battering on them, so if they were fried for a shorter period of time, I could see them being really good.
I’ll return when I am having lunch in the area, but I think I’ll get something else. It’s a great neighborhood bar, has a solid patio, and has a decent beer selection. I’d say the food is a step up of the classic bar menu, but I wasn’t blown away.

I’m upgrading my review of Deep Deuce Grill after spending some time there yesterday, as well as a few weeks ago. They really do a good job as a neighborhood bar and grill with a good patio, at affordable prices. The food has improved steadily over the years, they do a good Dagwood and the burger is good as well. The fries are great.
I just also think this is a place where you have to kind of get over yourself. It’s not gourmet, it’s not from scratch for the most part, it’s not that kind of place. It is a bar, that serves some bar-​type food. The main focus for many of the guests seems to be drinking, with a few apps or light bites on the side.
I’m not sure what’s changed, maybe I had just ordered wrong before. I guess it’s just grown on me a little bit! I’m not afraid to admit when I’ve been possibly to harsh on a place. I’m happy to meet friends here for a light lunch or a fun little happy hour on the sunny patio.

My husband and I came out for the Deep Deuce Dive. We weren’t planning to stay long or do any of the crazy fun things given we had our 6 month old. We came for the food but ended up grabbing some beers. Given the craziness of the event our server was extremely attentive with other servers passing by checking on us. The food was really good and plentiful for the nice price. All in all it was prompt service, good food, and good times. We will definitely come back again.
