Very disappointed in my attempt to try this place… Google says you guys are open on Thursdays(9 – 5 I believe)*, so I went out there and they are close, but no big deal. I ask one of the workers there when they are open and I was told Friday and Saturday. So I come back the next day and… there is a sign saying they are closed because of a beer festival… Uh thanks for misleading me twice. Most disappointing going out there twice on for them to be closed both times. *Guess I should have believed the Unilocal hours…

COOP is probably my favorite local brewery. I enjoy a lot of their beers and the people behind it are great as well. I’ve been to the brewery a few times for various events, hung out in the tap room for a few beers, been on group tours, and attended the Central Oklahoma Humane Society’s anniversary party the past couple years(their love for animals is just another reason I love COOP). The location is not really convenient for me at all, but for an all-day hangout event like the OK Humane party, it makes for a really good time. Starting to think of my favorites and I have so many! Of their standard beers, I really like the Elevator Wheat(which can be hard to find at restaurants in town) and the Horny Toad, but even their 3.2 stuff is great. I love the Spare Rib, Negative Split and Briefcase Brown as well, which are all low point beers but still offer good flavor. They switch up their selection for the tap room, which always makes for a good time. If you’re around when the Chai Brown is available, GETIT. It’s a delicious brown ale with a little bit of chai spice. So great if you’re a chai lover and a beer lover. I also had some type of peanut butter/chocolate brown ale at some point that was really good. All in all, COOP’s tap room is a fun place to hang out for a few local beers, and the people who work there are always super friendly and inviting. Check it out if you’re a local beer lover!

Really Nice facility. The outdoor area is spacious and has lights for when the sun goes down. Plenty of drinking games! The owner was super nice. We went for an event and had a fantastic time! I would go back and visit again

This place is spectacular! Completely unassuming from the outside, but it’s got the best beer and people located within! It’s completely worth your time to stop by and sample a few specialty brews while definitely planning on a few to take home with you. Especially with their awesome ‘crowler’ setup!

I would’ve given Coop all the stars just by how good their beers are from all the various places I’ve imbibed them around OKC. But I’m glad to have visited their facility! The taproom is perfect: a small bar to serve delicious beer as well as table seating. The menu is clearly displayed above, and imbibers are encouraged to tag #CoopTapRoom or @CoopTapRoom in the inevitable beer pics on Instagram. Victoria, their marketing guru, is very knowledgeable and personable, which meant a fantastic tour of the facility. I really enjoyed learning more about the process behind some of my favorite beers. And if you need some beer to go, you can purchase a crowler( ) for $ 9. And yep, I bought one. #NotAshamed Thank you, COOP, for brewing such wonderful and tasty craft beer!

I LOVED the tour given to us by Victoria. The entire facility was fascinating and it was cool to see the process of some of my favorite beers. The entire staff was more than accommodating and you could really tell they genuinely loved what they do! I would recommend their beer to anyone, but I would shout from the rooftops how incredible their tours are. To the COOP team: thank you for the tour and the beer, it was all fantastic!

An Admirable and Tasteful Taproom Experience I have enjoyed COOP crafted beers at local venues and events so grateful to jump into a Unilocal sampling party at their South OKC brewery. Was I pleasantly surprised once I arrived. The COOP reps were gracious, generous and knowledgeable — clearly love what they do — as they shared the story of how the brewery was born and works and has grown(understandably). When you savor the wide range of brews you find much to admire including their thoughtful and sustainable business practices. After touring the spotless facility and tasting their products, I am definitely a huge fan. Regardless of where your preferences fall on the bitter beer index, you will be, too.

I don’t know why I thought that COOP was located in NE Oklahoma, but I was sure excited to learn that they are just down the street from the airport on council and SW44th; totally rocking! Such a great location tucked nice a cozy in a little business zone. The bar is really cute and they had a bunch of seasonal beers on tap along with their original brews. I sampled the Chai, orange cinnamon, wake up and Reese’s, gran sport, native amber, and F5. I’ve had the F5 before, so I knew what I was getting, but having it at the brewery made me spin. The Chai was very spiced and had a common fall-like flavor associated with the season such as nutmeg and cinnamon. The orange cinnamon was very good, but I couldn’t taste much orange or cinnamon in it. Wake up and Reese’s was yumz, but I was hoping for a strong peanut butter taste. The gran sport was excellent, but the native Amber and F5 were my favorites; I love hoppy beer. I’m probably going to get a hop plant, because I love the smell of fresh hops. Mmmmmm The staff was very hospitable and knowledgable. Loved the tour and all of the details about the different equipments. The barrel room was by far the best room; it smelled so good and I am so looking forward to try the persimmon beer if it gets out. There were some other barrel beers that sound new and great too. They have an outdoor area that sounds very nice, but I didn’t check out.

just had your gran sport porter from«FosterPints n Plates» opening in northwest ark. We have our share of craft breweries popping up and Ive tasted them all, outside of being a home brewer. Id rate the Porter a 9 out of 10. Superb and smooth. Homerun on this one!!!

Unwind and«hop it up a notch» with an F5IPA from COOP Ale Works – a beer so in demand that package stores can’t keep it on the shelves. And for good reason! COOP’s F5 is a delightful blend of sass and suave, marrying a strong, dry hopped flavor up front with slight citrus notes on the finish. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself discovering the ever-so-slight tang of grapefruit on the tongue. But the real reasons COOP Ale Works deserves 5 stars are their commitment to the community and their commitment to growing as a socially responsible local craft brewery. At nearly every charitable or public event, you’ll find delicious COOP beers that the brewery has donated back to the community. That’s a win in my book.

I have honestly been in Austin too long – I ordered this beer at a local pub and called it «co-op.» It is actually just coop… as in chicken coop. OKC is doing a fantastic job in keeping the craft brew world lively in this state so stricken with horrendous regulations and policies. This specific institution has not been in the bizz too specifically long, but I really enjoy what they are bringing to the realm of booze. The Amber was quite good. It is crisp and clean with a hint of complexity nipping at you, with all aspects sort of getting balanced by the hops galore. You would do well to drink one of these fine beverages, which are higher than 3.2% ABV, mind you, whenever you can get your hand on a pint. Their offerings can be found in a lot of assorted bars around town, and there will undoubtedly be a great experience to follow – with 6.3% ABV and all. :)

If you are interested in fine beers, you need to check out the entire line up of Coop Ale. I personally prefer big, bold beers and Coop produces a strong Belgian Ale called DNR, a seasonal oak aged Imperial Stout, a very fresh IPA called F5. They will be out in 16 oz. cans soon, but you can find them at many locations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Once you try them, I think you will agree that they are on par with well known microbreweries around the country.
