Excellent food but holding a star back because of the charge to add a protein to your meal. Friendly staff but a line builds up during lunch — go early or late. Only one cash register.

When this place first opened I was so impressed. I loved the silverware at the table, the service and most importantly the food. Now, there is no longer silverware at the table, the service is mediocre and they give you less food than they used to. I’m not sure what is going on, but I do wish they would get back in their game because they have such potential.

I’m a fan of Coolgreens generally but not this one. Customer service is horrible. Rude staff. On one occasion, as I was giving my order, the man behind the counter rudely said I had to speak up because he couldn’t hear me. When I spoke up and pointed at the ingredients I wanted(in an attempt to help) he said: «You don’t have to point under the glass.» Geez. I almost walked off. It was embarrassing. Another time a guy was training someone and neither of them were polite or smiled or looked up. They were slow and short with people and seemed very irritable. The check out girls don’t smile or say thanks or look you in the eye either. At least they aren’t rude. Food is not nearly as fresh as the four other Cool Greens in the metro I’ve visited. Poor service and mediocre food at this one. Please fix because I honestly like the concept and I work downtown.

Coolgreens is a great place for a healthy lunch that will still fulfill your appetite. Their menu options can be made into a salad or wrap, and there are also pizza/flatbread options, sandwiches and soups. Everything tastes really fresh and delicious, and this is a great option for vegetarians or people wanting to eat healthy. I really love the southwest spicy salad with chicken, and the Caribbean jerk salad with shrimp, but everything I’ve had is good. I’m knocking a star because service can be a bit slow at busy times. The order line is set up like Subway or Qdoba, where your meal is made in front of you, and it gets backed up often. I also find it to be very expensive and can be somewhat of a splurge for lunch. If you add meat to your salad, it can get up to $ 15+, which is a little crazy for a weekday lunch, especially a salad. Having said that, the food is fresh and tastes great, and I do occasionally go for the splurge!

Was downtown today showing my granddaughters the sights. Saw the«open» sign in the window. Thought it’d be a nice place to grab lunch. It was 2:00 in the afternoon, sign on the door said they closed at 3:00. Walked in and was assailed with smells of bleach and with mop buckets in the path. Yuck. Turned around and left. Who wants to eat with the smell of antiseptic in their nose? Not us. Too bad. I’ve never been and now I probably never will try again.

To pay $ 16 for a salad/lunch is ridiculous. I will never go back. There are pretty of other places to get a salad downtown.

I encourage you to glance at the restaurants I previously reviewed. Why? Because you’ll see a trend. I’m a barbecue, pizza, and wings kind of guy. A place like coolgreens was never even on my radar. Guess what. It is now. I was blown away by the quality, the flavor, the service, and how filing it was. Did I mention the quality and the flavor? I’m extremely happy I was brought here and I already plan on returning with others. If you go here, listen to me when I say this; GETTHETUNA. I had a Caesar wrap with tuna and it was better than I could have imagined. I followed it up with a cookie and my meal was complete. Coolgreens cannot expand fast enough for me. It needs to be in Ohio before I return, but while I’m in Oklahoma you had better believe I’m going back to Coolgreens.

This is probably a 3.5 star review, but I can’t go 4. Coolgreens closed for a time but is back in the City Place building on the corner of Robinson and Park in downtown OKC. It’s a large location, plenty of seating and it’s clean and sleek. The set up is like other Coolgreens, it’s basically a Subway or Chipotle style assembly line for salads and wraps. They also have 3 or 4 sandwiches they make in the back. On my most recent visit, I had the chipotle ranch as a wrap, add chicken. First of all, the chipotle had no heat. I was at least expecting a little kick. But, the veggies are fresh, and they pack the thing full. The menu says it includes tortilla chips, but if they were in there they lost all crunch. The crunch would have been nice, but I got some juxtaposition in texture from the romaine lettuce. But, the ingredients were fresh like I said, and they get a good mixture so you get some of everything in most bites. I would order a wrap similar to this again, but with different sauce. Maybe add some jalapenos or something. For 3 of us to eat(2 wraps, 1 sandwich, 3 drinks, 2 bags of chips, 1 cookie) was $ 46. Given the quality and quantity of the food, I think it’s a little high for downtown. Hence the removal of a star. It’s a clean spot with a lot of choices for food and drink. it wasn’t as quick as you would expect, we waited nearly 10 minutes to get our food, which I’d say is on the longer end of the spectrum for quicker downtown dining options. I’ll return, but like I said, I’ll get something else.

Don’t get me wrong, Coolgreens is great, but they are a bit overpriced in the market space.

Rating of three stars because, while the food is good, it is expensive for the market. These guys were closed for a period of time due to construction downtown. They recently reopened, and as a part of that, they revamped their menu. I just paid over $ 15(after tax) for a salad with steak as the protein. Simply put, their salads are expensive. Like, really expensive compared to the rest of downtown’s food. It’s a casual sit-down place, with no service at the table. This salad taste jsut fine. the«steak», which is called«tenderloin» on the website, tastes fine but doesn’t seem like high quality tenderloin. I could be wrong there. The ambiance is nice and bright and clean. The employees are always super nice, but not usually 100% on-point. E.g.- my last visit they straight up didn’t put my order in. I sat and waited while my friend ate. Eventually, I went and asked, and they said it was coming but I could tell they were just starting to make it. They weren’t busy. Not sure how that happens. Anyway, the food is good and decently healthful. Just expect to pay for it.

Real good food. I love the soda machine that does all the different flavors. However, it’s over-priced for what you get IMO.

This is short but I wanted everyone to know that this location only will be closed after Fri 02÷28÷14 until Jan 2015 due to Project180 street construction. Make it to lunch today or tomorrow & purchase of a meal also gets you a free medium yogurt. I have a meeting today and want to eat after it so I got takeout for the first time. I could have ordered online but since I needed to modify my order & use my KeepItLocal card to get my 10% discount, I walked over and placed my order at the take-out order window. They had my order ready faster than if I had gone through the line to eat in. I then got in the lime for free yogurt where I copied the two people in front of me & got blood orange sorbet with cranberries. I was able to get a lid for the container so I didn’t spill it. I noticed on my walk over that the temperature is getting warmer so I briskly walked back to my office & put my salad in the refrigerator and sorbet in the freezer. Now, I am looking forward for this meeting to be over so I can eat!

We were in meetings nearby and needed some place quick and healthy, two days in a row. This place was a great find. Most of us had salads, with one random pizza eater. The service is top notch. Everyone was very friendly. All the ingredients were very fresh. Two in the group added the Ahi to their salads and they both said it was excellent. I added chicken. The space is very nice and they place real metalware on the tables. While you’ll pay more than for the typical fast food order, you get what you pay for. And in this case, it’s well worth the price, $ 10 – 11 for a salad with chicken.

I love dining at a place where people recognize you :) With that being said, I adore friendly faces and this Coolgreens location does NOT have a shortage of happy people. Plus I’m a salad freak– more so because I love dressing. I can’t get enough of their egg-less ceasar and basil vinaigrette! Their peak seems to be at noon, so I like to go at 11am or 1pm. Portion sizes are normal– not gargantuan. All in all, it’s a healthy alternative when you have the bucks to spare. It is on the pricier side people… Quick tips: They cater! Salmon– served cold, kind of a bummer Flatbread– they use a multi grain or wheat bread that is semi sweet. The pesto lends the bread flavor so I suggest ordering that if you’re not a fan of grain breads. Sandwich? Meh. Not as impressive as there other offerings. Wraps– Stuck in the middle. They aren’t my favorite, but it’s a good option if you don’t want the other stuff. Coucous– I think it has raisins in it. It’s curry flavored. Yogurt– Spend more than $ 11(I think) and dine in to get a free yogurt. The last time I did this the machine wasn’t working very well leaving the yogurt more soupy than yogurty. Meh, not a fan.

I probably wouldn’t have ever visited this restaurant if it weren’t for the book club that I frequent meeting here monthly. This location is in the business section of Bricktown and parking can be hit and miss depending on the time that you go. I’m assuming lunch is a big no because of all the offices nearby. It is set up like a, forgive me for the comparison to a fast food chain, Subway. At the beginning of the line, you let them know if you want a wrap, salad, or what-have-you off of their menu, and you watch them make it while they occasionally ask you what ingredients you would like in it. I ordered a southwestern wrap which came with a side. They were both delicious. Enough so that I was full, but didn’t have any left overs. The staff were primarily high school age students that, while waiting for the store to open so they could serve some possibly pretentious book snobs on their day off seemed rambunctious and hoodlum-like, were pretty friendly behind the counter. The atmosphere is modern. They have a little station where you get your drinks that can take you a moment to figure out, but pretty cool once you are used to it. While I love the concept of fresh foods, I also like keeping my wallet a little fatter. I will eat here again, but rarely.

This location started off strong, then went downhill quickly because of poor management. I’m happy to say, they are back on top of their game. The new manager has got the team to work more quickly, notice when ingredients go bad, and they are much friendlier. Is it perfect? Not yet. They can get better at having an «all hands on deck» time from about 11:45 — 1:00. They don’t have fountain drinks, so they need to do better keeping the three brewed teas fresh and full while they are open. Try the pineapple black tea, it’s good stuff. My favorite wrap is the Southwest Harvest with double figs. The best pizza is the Margherita. The dark chocolate frozen yogurt is amazing.

This restaurant has such a great variety of fresh, healthy food! The downtown location gets pretty busy at lunch, but is is well worth the wait! The are open later on Thunder game nights and it isn’t really busy at night. Depending on what you get it can be pricey, but the food is incredible! I find myself craving their salads often! And their frozen yogurt for desert is great, they have different, unique flavors everyday! The workers are always so nice, willing to customize your order without a problem! Overall, great food with a great atmosphere!

Hoooollllly expensive. You just gave this East Coast girl sticker shock Cool Greens, and that’s hard to do. I ended up paying $ 15 for a wrap, bottled water, and tip. Ouch. My wrap was pretty good though, although I think it may have been missing the queso, which was the ingredient I was most looking forward to. Hmmph. After a day on a plane, missing luggage, a disappointing lack of bathtub in my hotel, and incredibly dusty, dirty, constructiony roads, Cool Greens really did hit the healthy spot. I just wish it hadn’t hit my wallet.

Oklahoma City has been desperate for a concept like Cool Greens. When I worked in the film industry here, the number one complaint I heard from our Hollywood friends was the lack of fresh, healthy fare. I had more than one person ask me if we had any vegetables that did not arrive at the table in fried form. And while locals know that there are healthy choices on most menus, it is a wonderful and welcome change to have an entire restaurant devoted to better choices. You place your order at the salad bar, where you can order one of their specialty wraps, salads or pizzas. They make it fresh in front of you so you can decide exactly what options you want or don’t want. Be mindful though: the portions are large and when you add lots of items, especially once you get into adding nuts, you could potentially have more calories or fat grams than you bargained for. However, as far as quality of the food you’re putting in your body, you couldn’t really choose«better» calories, in my opinion. My favorite is the Asian Shrimp Salad, with warm grilled shrimp atop crisp cold greens with a sesame dressing. I try to get it with a little less dressing, and I usually don’t finish it. That’s the bargain I make with myself so I don’t feel guilty when I get some amazingly delicious frozen yogurt. They also have ice cold Izze sodas. Try the grapefruit, which is also a great mixer for real drinks. Maybe someday Cool Greens will add antioxidant-rich craft cocktails to their repertoire! So, California friends– come back! We have salad. And wraps and pizza and fro yo.
