Terrible… steak was tough, ranch dressing tasted like mayo. Had to pay early so the waitress could cash out her register

I give it a 3.5 star. It’s what you would expect from a country diner, greasy. However, I would come back. I had porkey’s omelet and left stuffed. They did not hold back on the bacon or sausage. I could feel me blood flow slowing down as I ate more. Not a health food establishment for sure, but it was this or cracker barrel, and this looked like a better adventure.
Friendly staff, made me a fresh pot of coffee. Thank goodness, can’t imagine what the old pot would have tasted like.
Can’t complain though, I’m leaving happy and my bill was CHEAP!

WOW! What a horrible restaurant! Went there with my two children & three nieces & nephews after going to Frontier City. It was about 45 minutes before closing and ordered simple easy food (a grilled chicken salad as an example). It took 35 minutes to get our food & the service was horrendous (we were the only customers, more on that in a second). Kids ordered chicken tenders burgers. The food was so bad 10 – 14 yr olds wouldn’t eat it. The grilled chicken must have been cooked the day before. It was so rubbery I could’ve used it as a super ball! While we were there another family tried to come in (20 minutes before closing) and was turned away (lucky them, they must be living right) because they we closing… The chicken tenders, fries & burgers were so cold and literally hard the kids couldn’t even eat them! When I comlained to the server (who said she was the manager when I asked to speak to the mgr) she said she would cut the bill in half. I explained that the kids had literally taken two bites and couldn’t eat the rest, she said, sorry ½ off was the best she could do. I went ahead and paid the 50% and took the kids to McDonalds across the highway. I’d rather eat grass then go back to there!!! When we drive by, the kids always comment on how bad the food was!
PS: How bad is this place that an employee has to write a rave review…

Just finished eating breakfast at Charly’s and it was an experience! Our party of four couples arrived at 8:45 for breakfast. The restaurant was not empty but only has about 4 other people there. It took a long time for someone to take our order. We waited, and waited, and waited. The food finally started coming out about 30 minutes later. ONE PERSON AT A TIME. The waitress continually apologized for the wait and said the problem was in the kitchen. By this time were were the only people in the restaurant as far a I could tell. The bulk of the orders were finally out about 9:40. The food was ok but needless to say, we will not go back. Please be warned the the service is EXTREMELY SLOW.
