I would recommend this store to anyone who needs countertops(Terry is the best), cabinets(Tommy has been helpful on multiple jobs), and generally for floors, sinks, and designs. I will refute part of the previous commenter Julie’s statement. You should never do your own remodeling or renovate if you have not enough background or insight to know what you are getting in a builder’s supply store. When you go to sell that home you are sticking someone with an issue that should have never been started because you chose not to use a contractor. I have shopped at this place for over 5 years and never had a single issue like the one described and I am a white female who wears heels while I shop. Do your research on a good contractor before bashing a store that sells a product not time teaching you how to remodel.

This is definitely a place for builders and not for home renovation newbies. Unless you really know what you’re doing, you really have no business here. Mac sort of tolerated us, and their prices are cheaper, but I could tell we were annoying them with our questions and not having the terminology down. In fact, I could tell that even though Mac kinda liked me, he didn’t really want to work with us. I’m sure it is much more time consuming to have to work with people who aren’t in the business. For me, I’ll probably always just work with a contractor and just let them handle it. There’s so much to know, and so much you can get wrong. You can probably make a really expensive mistake in a hurry trying to save a couple thousand dollars(if it’s even that big of a savings, it is sort of unclear). There was also something really weird happening in there. There was another employee in the cubicle next to us. He kept loudly asking the guy who was helping us if he wanted any crackers. Said they were the best crackers he’d ever had. Kept saying«man, are these good crackers.» And though we could hear every word and hum and cough and keyboard keys, we never heard him eating. And I’m not a paranoid person, but I definitely felt like it was a euphemism for them to make fun of us, or remind the guy he drew the short straw. The guy helping us would respond, but just kind of laughingly. Like, I even googled what that might mean and couldn’t find anything. Oh well. It just sort of generally contributed to me not feeling like this was the best idea ever.
