For the most part, I really like Burlington. I have gotten some great clothes and shoes at fantastic prices. That said, today was just strange. I ran in for a gift for a friends birthday and the store looked like a bomb went off in it. Women’s jewelry all over the floor in the jewelry section. Ties and shirts on the floor in the men’s section. Other then the employees working in the check out, I saw no other employees anywhere. Glad I didn’t need any help. I found a gift but truthfully am very disappointed in how trashy the store looked. Makes me wonder if clothes I purchased there were thrown on the floor also. I am going to assume this is just a unfortunate incident. We will see.

Customer service was poor. I simply tried to exchange something; it was a gift, had never been worn, and had all original tags attached, but the cashier lady insisted I couldn’t exchange it because I didn’t have a receipt. She had little patience and a lot of attitude. I asked for the manager and the manager was friendly and able to help me. Later I looked up the return policy and it states as long as I had my ID on me I could exchange or get store credit. I was going to shop around but decided not to based on poor customer service.

Burlington’s is fairly hit or miss. Sometimes they have some really cute stuff and amazing deals and sometimes they do not have anything I would consider, regardless of the price. I rarely see an associate walking around anywhere in the women’s dpt to help with anything and they do not have anyone to help you in the fitting rooms. The lines are usually about 4 ppl deep, they need more cashiers. The store is generally pretty clean and they have good prices usually. It just depends on your style to find something you may or may not like. Like I said, for me, it is fairly hit or miss. For a business woman, they have a great selection or business suits, dresses and skirts. I would shop there more often if I was a business woman.
