Bellevue Health & Rehabilitation Center

My mother and I struggled with placing my father in any facility but we were no longer able to care for him at home. We have had an amazing experience and Bellevue has been our saving grace! The staff really cares about him and my mom who visits almost every day. He likes the food, people and the activities. I could not more thankful for this facility and it comes with my highest recommendation!

We placed our mother at Bellevue after a surgery. She spent 4 weeks with them and absolutely loved every thing from the staff, the food, the cleanliness and the administration. She was treated like a Queen from the moment she was wheeled through the doors and we are so thankful for the excellent care. Our mother is back at her independent living center but she has made it clear to us kids that when she is no longer to live on her own that we better reserve a room for her at Bellevue!

I had an extremely negative experience with a family member here. The administration makes it quite obvious the only thing they care about is your wallet as they blew me off when I approached them about a few issues. The first time I went to visit I had to hold my breath as I walked down the hall it smelled so bad and when I finally reached my grandmother’s room she was covered in her own waste while the aid or nurse or whoever was 2 doors down, playing on her cell phones in the hallway. The food also doesn’t match the menu she was given and did not look appetizing. I would never allow her or anyone else I love to be placed here!

I had to transfer my mother out of this facility after 48 hours. Before I go further I must caution you of the smell of this facility. It mostly stank of feces, but in the corners of the building where it didn’t smell like excrement, it reeked of mildew. Multiple medication errors, some potentially deadly, occurred the first day! They attempted to administer blood pressure medication she was NOT prescribed and one of the «nurses» screamed in her face (no exaggeration) SCREAMED «calm down calm down right now» when she refused to take it. They did not have at least one of her prescriptions available to her and when I asked the med aid why it wasn’t in the facility (well after 24 hours post admission) she rolled her eyes and walked away from me??? I have a voice recording of every interaction with the staff after these two episodes and caught another «nurse» in a lie about her care and lack of documentation. I’ll be playing it for the state board when I turn them in for negligence today along with copies of her chart. When speaking to the administrators about the issues, they made it clear they did not want to fix anything, only defend their degenerate employees. Of the 11 employees I had personal contact with over two days, only one was pleasant and competent. Heather, I appreciate your professionalism in an otherwise disgusting situation. Bottom line: you or your family member (s) will not be safe in this facility. AVOID!
