I started going to this doctor for the simple fact that my mother had, my aunt had, and this is the doctor that delivered me. I have visited Dr. Barki three times… The first I had to wait for 3 hours with no warning before I ever got seen. The second time was much smoother but I was no longer a «new patient.» The wait time for this, if I remember correctly, was only about 30 minutes, not bad. The third time however, I had waited for an hour before asking about my appointment. Receptionist said, «she’s running behind.» Got it. Understood, was sympathetic, these things happen. Waited about another hour longer and was finally taken back. Before anything was started the nurse told me that she was delivering a baby and had two other patients before me.(I should have stated, THEY asked to schedule this time, not me.) And so I left without getting seen. There was a line to check out so I simply left and called to reschedule. The receptionist let me know that this is a recurring problem with Dr. Barki and has made me reconsider continuing to see her. My mother recommended it best to get the earliest appointment for the day because she also experienced this problem. Because my family has full trust in her, I do as well, I just wish she could be more timely. I had a positive experience with her both times. She was very straight-to-the-point and didn’t sugarcoat anything, also very relaxed and casual.
