Maria and Barbie at MLO are easy to work with, responsive, and overall friendly and amazing! Planning a ‘destination’ wedding from across the country was challenging, to say the least, however Maria always responded to my emails within 24 hours of my sending them.
I would highly recommend a ‘trail run’; it gave me a great opportunity to discuss various looks with my makeup artist Barbie and ask questions which helped elevate stress on the big day. I was a little worried about someone doing my makeup I had never met but Barbie couldnt have been better. We had a minor mis-​communication; I guess I never clarified what time I expected Barbie to arrive and we were outside of cell coverage… But she remembered my general timeline and showed up 30 minutes before I was expecting her ready to rock and roll. How awesome is that?!
I had the option of strip or single applied lashes for the same price… awesome! And some things I had mentioned during the trial (ie I usually use gel liner) she showed up with spontaneously! When Barbie was finished with my bridesmaids she even worked in my mom which I had not asked for ahead of time.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY could not have asked for more, and for the price it was totally worth it. FYI, they charged mileage but no travel fee.

This full service salon has something others don’t — owner Maria Orbinati, IMHO the best makeup artist and stylist in Central New York. For years TV production companies and modeling agencies have hired Maria to do makeup for shoots, and for good reason. She can make any woman look good (think «Extreme Makeover, CNY Edition» without the plastic surgery.) She’s done makeup for visiting celebrities and local female politicians; and she’s not only talented but affordable. I’ve had her do my makeup for TV appearances and my daughters’ prom makeup and we’ve always been transformed by the results. She’s also an excellent hairstylist and I’ve followed her to several different salons. Now that she has her own shop, she’s able to do it all in an environment that is relaxing and intimate, with a hip upscale urban feel. You won’t go wrong going to MLO for your next haircut, mani or pedi, waxing or eyelash services. I can’t say enough good things about MLO and Maria.
