Room smelled like mildew! Allergies went crazy. Staff did nothing(said we have no other rooms)

I’ve stayed in a couple Holiday Inn Express locations and overall have been very satisfied with the hotel. This particular location is horrible. The gym has no weights and the treadmills barely go over 0.5 mph. The rooms are updated, but all the lights except for the light on the dining table go off when you cut off the main light by the door. The air conditioner unit is extremely loud. I highly recommend choosing another hotel in the area to stay in. Update: found out the room use to be a handicap room so that was the issue with the lights. The front desk staff doesn’t seem very knowledgeable, but the housekeeping and breakfast team are great and extremely friendly.

The room was nice, hotel was clean. Check-in was slow. No one was at the front desk. We waited over 10 minutes before we could check in! I could understand that if there was a crowd of people, but there was only one person in front of us. Aside from the slow check-in, everything else was fine. They have a pool, a work out area and a free breakfast for patrons.

Stayed for two nights for a business trip. Was able to check in early, and the girl and the front desk was so helpful. Even told me a place I could go run outside when I was looking. The housekeeper in the second floor is so gracious and so pleasant. Breakfast was decent, i had no complaints. All in all, it was a cost effective, clean and pleasant place to spend two nights.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding down the road. I am a Hilton gold and hate staying at other properties typically but had to for the wedding and I was VERY happy. The staff was absolutely phenomenal, the breakfast woman was so nice, enjoyed what she was doing and went out of her way. My girlfriend wanted coffee after breakfast was long over, and she went back and made her some. The housekeeping staff was great, we were on the 2nd floor last weekend(never got her name) and she knew we were there for a wedding and told me to take my time checking out and relax. Rooms are nice, honestly do not have a single complaint about the place, and I am a snotty business traveler!

I’m a frequent business traveler and stay exclusively at IHG Priority Club hotels. I stay here on visits to the Syracuse area. Good access to the highway and not terribly far from dining areas in downtown Clay or Syracuse proper. The place is always clean and as a Platinum member I always get a suite upgrade. This is one of the nicest HI Express hotels that I stay at. Service is fast, and friendly. Plenty of parking in the lot, highly recommend if you’re looking for a inexpensive stay in the area.

Not a bad hotel. Your right next to the Gander Mountain so you can’t beat that! Place is clean and you are nearby Syracuse and Oneida Lake. They are boat friendly for those traveling with a boat and have electrical hookups outdoors for you to charge your trolling motor batteries.

New, clean hotel with large, comfortable rooms(but without fridges) right off the Interstate which was handy as we used this as a midway overnight stop on our way to Washington DC. I requested a quiet room and was placed at the end of the hall away from the elevators, but on the side of the hotel facing the interstate; very noisy! Asked the front desk to switch us to the other side and they did without issue. Good breakfast selection as well, clean pool and exercise area as well.

Convenient location North of Syracuse Airport. Good size rooms although the walls are a little thin. Small indoor pool and free wifi. Not a great fan of HI breakfast, a bit plasticky but free!

It was a business trip. My husband I checked in after midnight. We called a couple of hours early to confirm that they would hold the room and that it had a fridge since we would be staying 4 night and I needed to keep the baby’s food there. The room we reserved didnt have a fridge. We reserves a room w 2 double beds for $ 119 per night. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and suggested asking housekeeping to bring up a small fridge for $ 10 a night or upgrade to another room with a kitchenette. After discussing it with my husband, we called back and asked for the upgrade price. She gave the price $ 133.00 approx. When she heard my hesitation, she kept looking for a solution and offered the executive suite which was the same as the upgrade room but didn’t have a fold out sofa bed for $ 122 per night! We took it. It was such a relief to see how roomy it was and had a full size fridge. Friendly service, nice entrance, next to cracker barrel and fast food restaurants. Only drawback, and it’s major… found dried urine stain and(grosser still) a pubic hair on the commode. Otherwise it it would have been a 5 star review.
