It’s bar food, average at best. The wings seemed like the frozen small wings. A person next to me got the turkey club, looked like a lettuce sandwich. $ 9.95 for that + $ 2.50 for a soda, comes with about 7 or 8 french fries. Online menu is hosed up so you can’t see what you are getting in advance. TV’s are a little hard to watch sitting at the bar because the infrastructure hanging from the ceiling is a bit low if you are taller. Lot’s of places to go that are better than this, IMO. YMMV. good luck to you!

The first time we tried Frank’s the seafood was not good! After more than a year, we decided to give Frank’s one more try and were pleasantly surprised as we enjoyed the little/middle neck clam special for $ 4/doz. You cannot buy clams for less $$ at the store — and Frank’s does all the work as well as adding lemon wedges and drawn butter to boot. The clam chowder had a nice consistency and was delicious — the salmon and haddock were fresh and cooked perfectly which greatly enhanced the flavor of the fish — overall, we had a nice experience — Also, the waitress had a good sense of humor as well as being attentive to our needs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who isn’t as much concerned with a «fine dinning» atmosphere as they are with the quality of the food.

Decent food, a little more bar than restraunt for my taste. Good was hot and fresh, no complaints. Very noisy and one time a fight broke out while we were there, not something I wanted during our dinner. I’d go again, as I thought the good was decent

We’ve eaten here a couple of times. The menu is fairly limited and the quality of the food is about what you’d expect for a bar/restaurant. It’s not fine cuisine, but is solid. Burgers, sandwiches, etc. are all fine, but nothing fancy. And, like a previous reviewer said, this place can get pretty loud when there’s a lot of people there.

I’ve been here three times and the food is VERY good! My daughter had a corned beef on rye with fries and had no complaints. I had, as I always do simply because it’s impossible to get anywhere else, the blackened grouper sandwich, served on a hard roll with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Just delicious!!! The décor is not much, it’s dark, a little shabby, worn leather-like booths, looks like a neighborhood bar(which I suppose it is, in the evening). Service was great, prices reasonable for this kind of restaurant.(my only real complaint was getting out of the parking lot to go back, headed south on Rt. 11. This restaurant is on a very busy corner intersecting with Rt. 31 and traffic there is extremely busy.) I’ve always had the fish sandwich, friends have ordered burgers and salads, and have said they were also very good. There are quite a few seafood items which I really ought to branch out and try. So — I recommend Frank’s Plank Road Café highly!

Good local restaurant. Serves mainly American food. Great daily special. Has a decent bar. Can get a bit loud in the evenings.
