Carniceria El Torito

It’s a small grocery store. You won’t find a great selection of everything but you can find the essentials for emergencies. They also have a lot of Mexican products.
They have fresh carnitas every day!

I’m always discovering new, uncharted territory in the Cicero area that Unilocalers haven’t quite found yet! I love being the Unilocal Explorer and, hopefully, introducing the Unilocal community to small, local businesses they can support! The funny story about «finding» El Torito is that I needed to find an ATM! I was on my way to Freddy’s (down the street) and pulled in to El Torito when I saw the ATM sign (as Freddy’s only takes cash). This was a cute little place –a pretty decent Mexican grocery store with all your needed basics as well as a full liquor store attached I’m always looking for low key options to pick up groceries when I’m tired after work (and don’t want to deal with a big, crowded store.) Now I have another little solid option I can stop by on the way home from work!
