Emily’s Place Coffee Shoppe

I love Emily’s Place and have been a fan for years. I used to go there to study and would spend hours multiple days a week there. It’s much more quiet and peaceful than Starbucks, which I always appreciated. I tend to stick to the brewed coffee; the darker the better. The Rainforest brew is my favorite. I’m not a huge fan of the sugary drinks or iced teas which is why I’m taking away a star. I’m sure a lot of people that don’t like the coffee taste enjoy them though.
They also have delicious cheesecake, cake and cookie options. I’ve gone just to get cheesecake after eating a meal. Love the environment and service, and the prices are great too.

Literally has the BEST iced coffee and carrot cake! Whenever I come into town I always go with my mother and we are completely addicted. The employees are always nice and we’ve never had an issue with our order. I also love the vintage environment!

So glad we stumbled upon this place, visiting the BBQ place next store.
Cozy cottage, religious oriented, with a big menu selection. I was surprised with how many people were there studying, bible groups, and people studying in a few different rooms. There is even outside seating wth a little playground.
The train wreck frap was recommended– caramel, vanilla, white & dark chocolate. It was a safe choice & delish. I went back the next day & got it all over again!

One of the best coffee houses I’ve ever been too. The place is welcoming, cozy & the coffee is excellent. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. A great place to sit and chat with friends, study or disappear for an hour. Love it!

Peaceful, friendly, local environment! My boyfriend and I went for the first time on Friday morning and enjoyed it so much that went back on Saturday too! I loved the espresso and cappuccino. You will love this place for sure.

Emily’s is adorable! I love coming here when I get the chance to get over that way instead of my office. I like to lounge with my kindle and a soy caramel turtle (iced) and just forget everything else. It’s also such a great place to meet up with friends. I hope to start going more often soon!

Cute little place that seems like a quaint but trendy café in the middle of nowhere (but close to a lot). We tried the white cupcake (she says it’s lemon, I say it’s coconut) which was fresh, moist, and delicious.

Not a true coffeehouse in my book. Good for fake sugary drinks, but not classic coffee drinks. I went back and got hot chocolate instead and was absolutely not impressed. It just tastes like warm milk. I even tried again and got a smoothie, and it was disgustingly sweet and artificial tasting. I tried yet AGAIN, got their ice cream… And blargh. It took me a while to finish it. Id rather eat ice cream out of a box from HEB.
I would ignore the low quality drinks and come here to work more often if it weren’t for the middle/​high school crowd that comes barreling in at 3 PM, talking loudly throughout the shop about stereotypical teenager stuff, while disrupting the peacefulness in the room as if the world revolves around them. You may think, «wow, I doubt this is always how it is!» But no, I am serious. The five times I’ve been there, that is how it was.
Before the teens stampede in, the atmosphere is actually pretty nice. That’s where the two stars came from.

Love this place. Great place to meet someone for coffee. Having multiple rooms is great if your looking for a little more privacy.

Great coffee, great staff, & great atmosphere indoor and outdoors. There are non coffee options like tea, fresh smoothies, & ice cream shakes. They even have a little playground if you want to bring the kiddos.

Perfect for a date night, or just meeting a friend! We love Emily’s Place! We highly recommend going Friday to get their date night special: 2 coffees and 2 desserts for $ 12! Steal of a deal and no sharing! ;)

Several friends who live in the area had recommended this place. My husband and I finally tried it on date night. We went there after dinner, and had dessert. Pastries were delicious. We also tried the ice cream and it was great. We didn’t have any coffee, but we are planning to go back.

Not the place for me.
I was in town visiting friend and saw this place pop up on Unilocal.It is the cutest little shop. I loved the décor and was so excited to get inside and try their coffee.
I ordered a double espresso. I watched the guy pull out a bag, cut it open, and put some type of pod in the machine. Kind of like a Keurig. They use an automatic espresso machine, ultimately resulting in some pretty bad espresso.
If you’re looking for a craft coffee shop with REAL espresso and baristas, find another place. This isn’t it. If you like sugary drinks and frappes, it’s probably fine — but you’re still not getting a quality beverage.
The only thing that got this place two stars was the atmosphere and décor.

Just visited Emily’s Place for the first time this week… I LOVE it! Everything from the atmosphere, delicious coffee/​drinks, and the kind employees makes this local coffee shop an ideal spot. No more Starbucks for me!

Well, to start off, I should have reviewed this place long time ago from when I first gave this place a try, but honestly never thought of starting the app as I sat their and enjoyed all their coffees… the train wreck wreck is good but my go to coffee everytimr has got to be southern pacific flan… yummmmm. their desserts are good as well because they do compliment their coffees, never had a bad day walking in because the staff is always on the up and up… and if you are having a rough day or morning. I come here and they make it go away with a good cup of Joe … enjoy and coffee on

Very cool place. I met a friend there this afternoon and had a yummy (and very reasonably priced) peach smoothie. My friend had a cup of coffee and said it was great. (How often do you hear somebody say «wow, this is really good coffee!»??).
Loved the décor, loved the service. Can’t wait to go some Saturday morning and have some nosh along with my mocha.

Love love this place. They always take care of the customer. Everything is awesome and they have something for everyone. They carry cheese cake factory desserts, ice cream, teas and coffees hot or cold. Highly suggest and recommend

Why can’t anyone make a decent cappuccino? They lose 1 star for serving a gigantic 16 oz «cappuccino» that’s more milk than anything else. You’d think a place that bills itself as a COFFEE house might know how to make a genuine coffee drink — but this place doesn’t.
Here’s a hint– a true cappuccino would be closer to 2 OZ of espresso, 2 OZ of milk and 2 OZ of foam.
This is one of those faux coffee shops that is more comfortable serving drinks that are full of «pumps» of fake flavored syrups. And all their tea is from tea bags. Might as well just go to McDonalds or Starbucks.
The staff is friendly and the décor is pleasant. And the baked goods (that they don’t make) were OK.

Great little hidden gem just off Main Street Cibolo.
Solid coffee, but leans a bit toward the fru-​fru drinks of mocha fame. Drip coffee is good quality, but not unique or different.
Warm, homey atmosphere. Fine baked goods, but no real food menu. Good place to kill a few hours.

Cozy spot for great conversation and coffee.
This place is out of a movie scene. Adjacent to the railroad tracks, this place has great house coffee, a fantastic «Train Wreck» specialty drink that is sweet and savory. The hazelnut latte was great.
Pastries and desserts to choose from, different seating areas with leather chairs, cast fireplace, vintage artwork and an old chair from the pacific railroad co.
Free internet and cozy feel make this a great place to stop for a coffee and a novel.
