We read some iffy reviews so we were reluctant in making the drive to try the wines, but were delighted we did. The wines themselves aren’t great, but they implemented some moonshine into the equation which was pretty cool. They have donkeys and buffalo on the property which I just loved. Definitely worth the trip!

This is not a winery, this is a jarhead who somehow realized how to spoil food in such a way to make alcohol. While we were there the owner berated my wife and her profession(nurse). Newsflash, patrons don’t want your shitty booze and encouragement to swing on a stripper pole. I am dumping the extra bottle of wine out instead of drinking it out of disgust.

Love this winery! Best we’ve visited in Maryland. The building isn’t pretentious, but the owners and employees are knowledgeable and the wine is good… good REAL wine. I don’t like many wines from this region because they’re too sweet, but several of the wines here are legit. We visited several months ago, and just opened the 2010 Barbera Reserve tonight with an Italian dinner, and it’s wonderful. We often buy at wineries we visit and then regret our purchases, but the wine is really good. Had a great time visiting with the owners also. Definitely visit… if you aren’t uptight.

I absolutely LOVED this winery! Stephanie and Al were so knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel at home. The Pole Dancer Red and White were delicious. We ended up staying almost 3 hours because the owner, Al, was so fun to talk to. He is a down-to-earth honest guy who certainly knows his stuff about wine and spirits. Definitely worth the trip!

WORST winery I’ve ever visited. Within a few minutes of arriving, the owner made a joke about fat women. A few minutes after that I was directed to a structurally sound STRIPPERPOLE that is a part of the bar setup. Their most popular wine is residual sugar laden red and white versions of what is called«Pole Dancer». I was informed it is a popular place for bachelorette parties, and I can only imagine the type of eastern shore trash that comes there to drink the sugar juice and work the pole. I tried tasting his other wine, but obvious flaws such as the secondary fermentation his chocolate merlot was going through precluded any actual enjoyment. The wine sucks, the building is shoddy, and the owner is a classless moron. Oh yeah — porta potty only.

I’d say this place is a 3.5, but rounded up because this is the first review and the people were nice(and I had to choose a whole number). Anyway, we came here solely because there was a Groupon offering a wine tasting of all of their wines for two, with two glasses, chocolate, and a free bottle of wine. It was a great deal! There was a friendly dog(or two) to greet us when we arrived. We got to sit at the bar and shoot the breeze with one of the owners that gave us some good facts about wine in Maryland as well as wine in general. They had just remodeled their new tasting room, so it had the feel of a new place. Unfortunately, they only had a porta potty but I can understand why they do it. If I were in the area or a bit closer, I would certainly consider coming back. It’s about an hour and fifteen minutes from Baltimore, so not exactly a place you’d head to for a quick trip. But if you make a day out of it, hit up the beach, eat some seafood, and check out some small towns, it’s certainly worth it!
