We went on Saturday January 23rd to celebrate my dads bday. Small group of 7. And our service was disappointing. We’ve been coming to savoie since they opened and have had a great experience in past with Rania and Michael who are the best servers they have in my opinion However our last experience we had a new person whose name escapes me because it was so substandard and also the food was just ok. My salad also had old lettuce. Romaine was training red. So sad. Now will have to rethink when and if we will return. Karinas group needs to be sure to not lose sight of quality. So much change and expansion may be impacting their vision to uphold a quality food experience for their patrons. Disappointed this time around.

I finally have the chance to write a review. My family and I so happened to find Savoie while looking for a place to eat at… From stepping in the door the vibe was already weird and unprofessional… The hostess was too quiet. She didnt really smile. We sit for about 15 min and server walks up and is already in a rush to take our order… she didnt really come by to check up on our table. The ice tea i ordered was cloudy like it was the bottom of the tea maker. Yucky… Finally get our food. My Vongole was super lemony. The sauce tasted like straight lemon juice. Our server comes around and asks how our meal is and i let her know it is too lemony(by this time the vibe was crappy… I was turned off by the service and the restaurant… basically lost my appetite) she then got defensive and told me «uhm thats just the sauce!» …i said are you sure? I dont know any pasta sauce that tastes like lemon juice. The details of the food i chose said it was a buttery wine sauce. She got kind of short and said her manager will take care of it. Manager comes and offers to get me another but like i said earlier i was turned off… I declined. We waited for our check and our server comes back… Gives our check back and tells us to give them another chance(no eye contact, rushing and very short) no good vibes. P. S. I dont know if this gentelman is a busser but I believe his name is Rudy… Dear Rudy thank you for being very sweet and kind to us! You were literally the only one who seemed concerned and was apologetic. Will we be returning? I think not…

Beautiful, fabulous service, amazing food. Would have given 5 stars but they were«sold out» of the tomahawk steak. Which was the main reason we went! Instead gave us a 32 oz. Bone out ribeye. Same cut, without the bone, but still charged us the same. It was good, but we were VERY disappointed!

I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to SAVOIE

We loved the atmosphere, almost felt like we were in the Gaslamp. The food and service was great, but the menu was somewhat disappointing. We didn’t really see many French offerings at all, which was what we were hoping for. It’s a short menu, which isn’t necessarily bad in itself, but it felt generic and kept me looking for another page. It had your standard steak, seafood and pasta offerings with only a couple of intriguing dishes. The 30 oz ribeye seemed a little out of place for this restaurant. The only uniquely French item on the menu that we could find was escargot…

First time there. It all starts with the service and from the moment we walked in … Great experience. FOODPHENOMENAL. I had pulpo(octopus) and ahi tar tar … Cosmo and then vino — a Coppola. Yum. My hubby had a great burger. Our server … Awesome!!! Michael was great and he enhanced our dine out experience. So there are places you know you will never go back to and then places you can’t wait to go back to. This place is a keeper. A+ for food and A++ for service /special! Ambiance super!

As a local I’ve seen several places come and go at the Otay Ranch Mall I really wanted this place to be great I love Good French and Italian food at first appearance this place needs a little help moving on now I’m a little worried that this is a French restaurant and a Italian restaurant normally this is a red flag it’s very difficult to do one style of cuisine really really good and near impossible to do two styles really good even if they have a Michelin Star Chef. The menu is average with little that stands out I had a side salad that was good and mushroom risotto witch was a little soupy and lacked flavor and one of my favorite pizza the Margherita pizza when done right will make you crave it, simple but mind blowing. There’s just fell a little short doughy and undercooked which did not allow the pizza to develop its amazing flavor pizza is an art. Over all this place average in regards to the surrounding restaurants

This is my go to place. I love coming here with my wife for a nice relaxing night! Love just sitting down near the bar or the fires and have a few cocktails, they are excellent. We have bee here many times, get the filet mignon sliders, you won’t be disappointed. If you do apps, dinner, desert, drinks your bill will easily be $ 100+ for 2. Is it worth it? Absolutely, wish it wasn’t as expensive, we’d go more often, but we still come here maybe once a month or so. You won’t be disappointed

The ambiance is amazing! Wonderful drinks and bartender. Great band called Cantua on Wednesday nights really adds some fun to the place. The food is good. I had lobster stuffed ravioli. Wasn’t blown away but it was yummy enough that with everything else I can’t wait to go back, and hang out in the bar listening to music.

The savoie burger was so good! The meat was cooked excellent and was so juicy. The jalapeño jam is to die and was a good touch. And the thing was huge! The fries were also very good. Also tried the appetizer meatballs which were very yummy. The bread and butter was mediocre and it was so crunchy I could barely eat it. But will return :)

Been coming here for a while and would normally rate four stars, but they made major changes. 1) eliminated the drinks specials from late night happy hour 2) disrespected by the manager when I raised a complaint about the size of my drink: the $ 10 Upside Cow which was served in what looked like a fancy shot glass. Was told that if I ordered another they’d make it right. I lost my reason for going after incident 1 and lost respect for this place after incident 2.

This place was delicious! It had incredibly delicious food, we ordered the salmon, lamb shank, and side of the mac and cheese, all really delicious. The restaurant has such a beautiful & whimsical décor, kind of reminded me of vin de syrah. I only subtract one star because the music choice was SO awful, it did not match the restaurant’s vibe and décor at all. It was very very bad teeny bopper mainstream type music. Otherwise I would highly recommend. This would be a great place to have a large birthday dinner.

Love love love this place! Too bad is so far from me! But it was definitely worth the drive. Went there for a brunch/lunch after church with a few friends and the first thing that caught my attention was the décor. Absolutely adorable, in every aspect. The hostess outfits, the servers, the lightening, the art, everything is adorable. I want to go back there at night, it looks like a good date spot. For appetizers we had the Brussels sprouts and the patatas bravas. Both delicious and only $ 7, totally worth it. The bread and butter they bring is also the bomb. I think we had at least three of them :) They have a good special drinks selection but it was so hot I just had a beer. My friend had a pizza and me and the other girls had burgers. They are more like gourmet burgers and come with the most delicious fries ever! The bun is soft and fresh, the size is fair and presentation is beautiful like the place. There’s only so much you can do for a burger but they did not disappoint. $ 13 for the burger, $ 5 for the beer, $ 7 for appetizer… I didn’t mind the prices at all. Our server was Rodrigo and he was attentive, friendly and just awesome. I can’t wait to go back at night and try their dinner menu.

This place gets overlooked with so many other places to eat in the mall. I’ve been here a couple times and both pleasantly surprised me. The last time being my birthday. I wanted a quite place to enjoy my 30th birthday with my family and my little dog and this was perfect! We had the patio all to ourselves… décor was great really set the mood. The food was very tasty. Appetizers: macaroni with mushrooms– filled cheesy goodness and a must have! Calamari– average. Entrees: linguini with Bolangse sauce– great! Sole stuffed with lobster– amazing according to my family. Boullion soup– spicey but great as per my dad. Service was great. The gave me tiramisu with a candle for my bday and was yummy. My pup appreciated the doggie treats and bowl of water they gave him. We will definitely return!

First things first, this place is beautiful! It is a french country chic vibe. The long table through the middle of the dining room catches your eye as soon as you walk in. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. We sat in front of the wine cellar and I couldn’t have been happier. To start, I had the Upside Down Cow. It was lovely! We shared the Macaronis au Fromage and the Brussel Sprouts from the appetizer menu. Both were perfect. Everyone has to love gourmet mac n cheese! I had the Bleu Devil pizza for myself. I was very happy with it. I remember not wanting to share! For dessert, we had the Crepes Nutella, not my choice, but it was very good nonetheless. The food throughout the meal was fantastic! The service was excellent as well. Our server was very nice and attentive. I will be back to try something else on the menu.

Let’s start with the actual décor and vibe. I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in. Everything is so beautiful & modern man I loved it. The food was so good. Our waiter broke down the top two popular menu items from each section which was really helpful seeing how it was my first time there. I got the cucumber martini, Alfredo alla Bolognese, & pistachio torte for dessert. It was all delish. I’m definitely coming back!

This place is located in the Otay Ranch shopping center. Between the AMC movie theatre and the now closed Venga Venga… They have patio seating with fire pits and indoor seating. The staff are friendly and attentive . Food and drinks delicious and at reasonable prices… The vibe I felt was more like single waiting to mingle or bring your first date here. Nothing wrong with that !!! There was a DJ playing good songs while you dine . I will return !!

We recently visited this beautiful restaurant Savoie(pronounced Sah-vawh) Eatery for a Chef’s Dinner. I don’t often have my breath taken away by new restaurants but must say I fell in love with the amazing Alice in Wonderland(that’s my own description) themed restaurant. The front and back outdoor patios are simply beautiful with gardens, firepits, water fountains. The restaurant is pronounced Sah-V We tried the following: House made Squid chip /Ancho aioli /White anchovy /Local ice plant — We enjoyed the dark ink squid chip as it had a wonderful crunch to it and was richly savory. We both thought the anchovy was a bit too fish-intense for our tastes. Champagne sorbet/champagne grapes /champagne mignonette — These beautiful oysters were topped with a champagne foam and dotted with baby grapes that you loved eating as a kid. Patatas Bravas: — spicy tomato sauce on the crispy patatas was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Blistered Shishito Peppers: — peppers were blistered nicely but buttermilk thyme dressing needed a bit more seasoning Braised & Grilled Octopus: — Friend loved this dish and said it was way better than the version we had at Mola Spanish Bistro. I felt the octopus here tasted a bit tough and I wasn’t a fan of the cacahuate incorporated in this dish. Seared Scallop: — maillard scallop was simply perfection. The sear was just right and the opaqueness of the center made me swoon. Meatball: — I believe this was the chef’s mom’s recipe. The meatball was flavorful and tender. Pork chop: — This was such a pretty presentation of the bone in pork chop. It was like a baby tomahawk pork chop weapon. I enjoyed the nicely sauteed mushrooms. The pork was a bit dry but the sweet carrot purée helped with that. I never eat carrots but must admit that this purée was so lusciously beautiful and creamy. Filet Mignon : — The steak was prepared a breathtaking rare plus. The filet was tender and tasted quite nice. I LOVED the baby cauliflower(in various colors). Gelato e cannoli ala terremotto: — I about cleaned my plate of this gelato. You could absolutely taste the hazelnut with each bite. Terremoto means earthquake in Spanish and the Chef explained that this was his version of a deconstructed(a word he tries to avoid) cannoli dessert(if I recall). Service was spectacular and we enjoyed our meal here. Mario, the General Manager, was the most kind, sincere, and knowledgeable manager I’ve met in a very long time. Savoie is a beautiful restaurant that has a wonderful vibe to it. It really feels like walking into someone’s eclectic home with a romantic garden. We can’t wait to return some time soon.

So went here for a second time for dinner with a friend… It was on a weekday, around 7pm. Service was very friendly and attentive. Our waiter did a good job explaining the menu and making recommendation… The ambience is intimate with nice comfy booths and long tables… The décor is pretty with a little hint of eclectic… During this visit, the waiter explained to us that the menu was under construction bc there was a new chef taking over and there would be some changes. So anyways, onto the food… Bread + whipped butter to start… The bread was dry and not warmed or toasted. Butter had no flavor.(Different than the sliced bread I have posted) The Brussel sprouts– they were still pretty good with a nice crisp taste, carmelized, and the bacon bits complimented it well. But I still got that slight bitter after taste that I don’t remember tasting the last time I got this dish. I ordered their White Pizza… It was basically a garlicky cheese pizza with a sprinkle of chicken. I swear I remember seeing arugula on the menu, which was nowhere on the pizza. This thin crust pizza itself was okay, I was just expecting more. A bit greasy. For dessert, their Nutella/banana crêpe with vanilla ice cream(or was it gelato, can’t remember)… You can never go wrong with Nutella. This was yummy… I appreciate the friendly and attentive service. I loved the décor and ambience(except in the bathroom, lace dresses hanging around, kind of creepy)… I just wished I loved the food a little more… I know I was more satisfied with my first visit(see previous review…)
