Had phở here and my Mom and I thought the broth was very good. The portions were very good. I just moved to Chula Vista, and being close to Westminster and Phở Hong Phat in Long Beach, has spoiled my taste buds. I’m glad to have found this spot for my phở fix. Will def be making this a regular spot. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu and bringing my bf to try.

I’ve tried most of their menu & haven’t been disappointed. I recommend their filet mignon phở & chicken & rice plate. Also the Thai tea boba is delicious!

Ordered the chicken bahn mi — generous serving of meat and veggies with the right combination of flavors… My fave bahn mi so far in the area. My boyfriend ordered the rice vermicelli chicken curry… He thought he was ordering a rice bowl but out came a soup… Wow. It was good… Reminded me of my fave Thai soup Tom kha but with curry and vermicelli added.

One of the biggest vietnamese/phở restaurants I’ve been too!.. Plenty of tables. Service is quick and there’s always someone in the dining area filling drinks and walking around. I had my kids with me, and without even asking, they bring me scissors in a cup of hot water.(Useful, trust me)… Their phở serving is Huge(even the regular size). I always get phở ga(chicken) and it’s all white meat. Husband gets rare steak and he asks for chili oil for some extra heat. Their egg rolls are tasty. And their Bahn mi are also pretty good. The French baguette it’s served in is lightly toasted with a slight crunch, but still super soft and easy to bite. Prices are good! Private parking lot, relatively small, but we’ve been lucky.

Typical hole in the wall Phở place that serves food fast, efficiently, and deliciously. I love the prices and that it’s so close to the neighborhood we reside in. Get the Phở with flank steak and tripe… such big portions for the price!

I wanted to write this review because I felt like I needed to. My sis and I use to go once a week here to eat inside. But the last time we went which was a VERY long time ago. We ordered the spring rolls, and when it came. Inside the rolls. Crawling inside with ants. How disgusting never went back

This place is now my favorite Phở spot in San Diego. Between the quality of the food and the people that work there you really can’t go wrong.

So this was my go to place for phở. Love there veg dishes all. Been going for years but i dined in and was a little disturbed by what i saw. I noticed an older lady cleaning after customers left. Would dump food in the trash but saved the un used lettuce… On the side… On more than 5 tables so i dont know why but it seemed like she was going to REUSE the lettuce on new customers. Why else would she dump all the used food and go outta her way to scram up un used lettuce. I was pretty disgusted thinking of that. So because Of that detail i will not be returning here. Sorry but that is gross ! Who knows what there doing

Update… service went to the waist side. The original staff are all gone. Food is still good, but eight guys standing in the restaurant walking in circles and making angry faces while staring at you is kinda lame. Also they don’t hire woman… no female service… Huh? Oh did I mention the 2 rude waiters who walk around stinking their fingers in each other’s butts is also weird! Yeah… Phở is good though…

Great service and even better phở. Broth is so good here. I always get the rare steak and brisket and it’s always a hit. The staff makes sure that you’re all set with anything you need and I always love it when I don’t have to ask for refills on water. If you’re in the area this would easily be my go to phở joint check em out!

We’ve been here a few times and no matter the time or how busy it is, we are always seated and served right away. Food has always been good as is the service. Our last visit here, it was almost closing time, yet we were never rushed or felt like an inconvenience to the staff.(We left very shortly after closing.) My husband & daughter both ordered Phô, but I wanted to try something different. So I ordered BBQ filet mignon & steamed meatloaf. The steamed meatloaf is what intrigued me. I had never heard or tried steamed meatloaf. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by it, but I wanted to try it. The BBQ filet mignon was good(of course) and the steamed meatloaf wasn’t bad at all. I probably wouldn’t order it again, but I’m very glad I tried it. The best items on the menu are of course the Phô! Can’t go wrong with any of those selections.

3 solid stars based on to-go order only. I normally don’t order phở to-go but I was feeling under the weather and it was also my first time trying Phở Hung Cali. I will say this: the good was good, and the bad was weird. The bad could possibly be eliminated if I dined in, so I’ll update this review accordingly. The bad: I called in my order, got a #16(xl special) and #32(phở tai — rare steak). The person who took my order was very clear and quick, he repeated it all back to me then told me it would be ready in 10MINUTES. This is where it gets weird. We arrived around 15 minutes after the call. I went up to the counter and paid for the order, expecting the food to be ready, but after paying they had me take a seat at the table and gave me and my mom glasses of ice water instead. I was confused and thought there was a mistake. I mean, I appreciate the effort and this is cool cuz I was a bit thirsty but I’d rather just have my order? Maybe the servers just didn’t know we had ordered in. Our food actually came out after another 5 – 10 minutes. So phone call to food took ~25 minutes, tops. The good: The food was good. The broth was authentic and the steak wasn’t as tender as I’ve had, but it did the job. Price point was reasonable. $ 5.95 for regular bowl of most phở, $ 6.95 for special bowls. The broth and noodles/meat were separated, as expected. I really liked how the noodles and meat came in an actual bowl rather than a takeout box. I felt like this is a smart way to package and made it way easier to eat so that I could use discretion with how much broth I used(pics included). The bag of «toppings» came with a good helping of bean sprouts, 2 sprigs of mint, 2 limes, and 2 containing what I *thought* was hoisin sauce. But I’ll get to that next. The even more bad: I didn’t realize it at first, but sriracha was mixed in with the hoisin sauce. Typically, I mix the two together on my own when eating phở, and I really thought they just didn’t give us sriracha at all. It wasn’t until I started eating that I realized how spicy my broth was. I blamed it on the lone jalapeño I put into my bowl but I soon figured out there was sriracha mixed in as I felt the familiar singe and saw some reddish tint in the little plastic container that held the hoisin sauce. It burned at my throat but I could handle — it was actually working wonders on my sore throat. Some people can’t, however, and I didn’t think this was a fair way to provide the sauces mixed together. For me personally, I quite liked it. Maybe I’m ignorant if this is a normal thing for takeout phở, but it seemed like too much of a shortcut to me. Just saying, it might bother other customers who aren’t expecting it or aren’t used to spicy/sriracha and don’t even touch the stuff(abomination, I know). Be warned if you’re one of those people. TL;DR: the food was great and the bad can be completely ignored if you choose to dine in. Once I get the chance to do so I’ll be sure to update this review and possibly improve the rating based on service received in-house. Overall, I will be returning. Best phở I’ve had on this side of the 805.

The restaurant is huge and very clean compared to other phở places. The service is attantive and friendly when we arrived. The menu is extensive, offering vegetarian entrées to fillet mignon with your phở. Everything we ordered tasted great. The peanut sauce to the springs was not thick but coated the spring rolls well which didn’t cover the taste of the spring roll itself. The broth to the phở had a clean taste which was a great change from the phở places. Overall this place is a great find here in southbay, which isn’t really known for it asian cuisine.

Went here for an early dinner. This was our last stop before going home. This was on my bucket list of places I have bookmarked and I finally got a chance to try this place. As soon as we pulled up, they have a private parking lot in front of their business. They also have street parking if the parking lot is full. When we entered the business, we were greeted by a nice young gentleman. Very nice! He seated us at a booth. He gave us water but I decided to try their Thai Iced tea with no boba. I drank it and it was good. Very sweet flavor. Yum! I ordered the vermicelli noodles with egg rolls. Egg rolls were crunchy and tasty. My daughter even liked it. The noodles were soft. There was lettuce, pieces of peanuts and bean sprouts in the dish. You add the fish sauce to give the noodles flavor. It was good! However, I did find some wilted lettuce in my food. There was also no air conditioning in the establishment. Had to minus one star for that. My daughter was sweating and uncomfortable. I don’t enjoy eating my food while I sweat. I did enjoy my food. They kept refilling our water with lemon lime infused water which was good. I definitely enjoyed the ice cold water infused with lemon and lime. I even saw it in the clear pitchers the guy was holding. The guys working here were very nice and friendly. It’s a family owned business. I definitely will come back if I crave some phở. Had a great experience here.
