Migoto Judo Dojo

My son has been going to Migoto Judo for almost 2 years now and I highly recommend this club to anyone interested in learning judo. The senseis are all knowledgeable and treat everyone with respect. It is very family oriented and you can tell the first minute you walk through the door. You will feel welcomed and wanted there. I am very impressed how Sensei Rolland runs this Dojo.
You can’t beat their prices and family add-​ons which is another great reason to come here. They offer a lot of classes for your moneys worth for kids or adults. This judo club also enters a lot of tournaments for those who are on the competitive side.
They offer a free 2 week trial so there’s no reason not to try them out!

I’ve only visited this Judo Dojo two times in the past month or so and will have to say that this is one of the best run martial arts programs around! Sensei Roland and his Black Belt Instructors, from what I can tell, are very knowledgable practitioners of the art of Judo. Not only that, but the structured instruction, the Japanese Judo tradition they instill over there, and the ‘family’ atmosphere felt in the viewing room/​lounge area is probably the best parts of the whole experience. My 10-​yr old son was welcomed at Migoto with open arms by the other youth students as well as all the Black Belt Instructors. I’ve been to quite a few martial arts schools (in Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu, and other MMA grappling schools) in my day, but this is one Top Notch place!!! I am basing this review on the experience my son has received during the youth classes and my experience being welcomed as a new part of the Migoto family at the Dojo. I’m sure the adult classes are just as great… It’s just that we haven’t seen them, thus aren’t able to comment on them.
I would recommend Sensei Roland’s fine Judo school in a New York second to anyone interested in trying it out. My only regret is not signing my son up sooner as he’s taken quite a liking to Judo. Our 10-​yr old has been doing Jiu Jitsu for the past two years and Judo definitely complements his ground game. :) Kudos to Migoto Judo!!! This Judo Dojo would get a SIX star Unilocal review if they gave such a rating…

I’ve gone here for first couple of months and I’ll say it has probably been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and still is! All the students and teachers are friendly and very warm welcoming. Everyone has fun and the training there is very rigorous. I loved every class I went to. Very professional as well when it comes to competing in tournaments and testing for belt promotions.
Anyone interested in checking this place out, I would highly recommend it!

Migoto Judo Dojo is a great place for Judo. I enrolled my daughter and at first didn’t like it. But we tried their Two Week Free offer and now my daughter enjoys going to Judo practice and have competed in many tournaments.
The instructors are great with the kids and very knowledgeable. They teach the kids the proper techniques and etiquette’s of Judo from tying their belt properly and leading up to competition level.
It is a very friendly and family oriented Dojo. I highly recommend Migoto Judo Dojo for those that want to come and learn the art of Judo in a fun and safe environment.
