Soooooo yummy! Not closest fruit place to my house but looked promising so I made the trip to try it out. I had the strawberry mango Raspado (great size for only $ 3) it was so good! I couldn’t stop drinking it on the way home. Also I had the ham torta (ham cheese lettuce onion tomatoes mayo jalapeño and avocado) for $ 6 and its big enough to share. So satisfying, I highly recommend and will definitely be going back soon. Good prices and great quality food.

My first time at FRUTAS in search of a great torta. The first smell I had walked into was fresh fruit. It was so pleasant! One of the cleaner establishments in Chula Vista. There wasn’t even fruit flys. I’ll be coming back to try there fruit salad very soon !

This five star review is for their service and tortas, this isn’t the most eye appealing restaurant you’ll walk into but has great Tortas that I order for myself and coworkers on some weekends since we get free lunch. All the employees are friendly and always have the food ready by the time we pick up fresh and never miss a thing. No matter how specific the order is, these employees don’t miss a beat and we enjoy giving them our business,
Recommend the Torta Especial (Ham & Lomo) the Chamango, and of course Fruit Salad with Pineapple and Watermelon.

Known for their tortas, but we came for the fruit salad. The place is clean and the staff is friendly, but it could use a touch up on their décor, vintage chairs, and old scratched wooden tables make it look like a ghost town. The location is not so much my favorite because there is a DD’s Discounts right next door so you can only imagine what finding parking is like, especially with all the holiday shopping going on it’s nearly impossible to park close, they should have their own designated parking spots. Other than that, their food is fresh, the large salad is only $ 7 (great price) and they serve it with cottage cheese, seeds and honey on the side.

I was there last night and ordered a pico de Gallo. I got my fruit and they had put tajin not pico de Gallo and only
On like two fruits. They didn’t want to put the limon themselves so they put it on the side so I can do it myself. Then I asked if they can at least put more tajin and the lady gave me attitude and gave me tajin packets. And the cook in the back was laughing touching her Hair (with no gloves on !) disgusting ! And they use the same spoon for alll the fruits. This place isn’t like it used to be.

I love the food here, I really do. The green juice and tortas are my favorite but every time I come in the service is so slow. I’ve come in and have seen people who came in after me with bigger orders get their food before I do. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to make a torta and a juice. Other than that they’re doing a good job here, perfect place for a good sandwich or fruit salad.

This place is bomb! Smoothie are delicious and so are the Tortas! The ham and turkey tortas are the BEST!!! Definitely would recommend this place if you would like to eat something simple and good for you! 100% NATURAL!

Absolutely love this place!!! Although I do have to agree with other reviews it’s a bit slow and sometimes the person in the front isn’t all that friendly. I’ve learned to call in my order and don’t have to deal with any of it :) other than that everything I’ve tried at this place is amazing.

4 stars because baristas could be a little friendlier and they could use some A/​C! I would not want to sit down for a full meal in here. It’s wayyy too hot and uncomfortable.

La comida tiene buen sabor pero eso no importa si no esta complementada con calidad y buen servicio. Sinceramente, pésima atención al cliente, horrible actitud de las cajeras y cocineras. Un horror de servicio! Pedantes arrogantes. Querida dueña allí le encargo que ponga en su lugar a sus empleadas y le explique que el cliente es el número uno y que no tarden 30 min para entregar los alimentos y todavía que se equivoquen que despreciable experiencia.

Unless you want to eat a ground up straw in your drink think twice about coming here. I ordered a multi green and it took 15 minutes. There was like 5 people in be place. The women were in the back just laughing and having a good time. I got my drink and took a sip and said, «what is this crunchy shit in here?» I spit it out and in it was a ground up straw. Yes!!! A ground up plastic straw.
I showed it to the ladies and they said «oh looks like a straw like a piece came off the straw.» I showed them my straw and it was intact. I had bits and pieces in my teeth too. I can die from the plastic. they didn’t care they just said «I dunno» maybe it is maybe it isn’t, want a new drink?”. They didn’t care if it was in there, they didn’t ask to help me or refund my money”
Do not go here. I don’t know what happen to this place.

Worst experiences ever!!!
I had a very unpleasant experience. I will never go back and neither will my friends and family, I can assure you of that.
The restaurant was empty as my family and I walked in and all the tables were dirty and had to clean our own with napkins., also as we came in, the cashier lady was eating on top of the counter were they cut all the fresh fruit! Gross!
On top of all, after we ordered and oversaw all their nasty habits, one of the tortas was made wrong and instead of apologizing like any good costumer service business, the lady began arguing back saying it wasn’t her mistake. I understand it’s annoying to re-​do your work but if you want a prosperous business, aren’t you suppose to make your costumer happy? Just make the darn sandwich and get over it.
Frutas people! Clean your restaurant and don’t be so f$&@ rude!

I love frutas! This place is close to my work, when I go I always order their turkey torta, it’s huge! It’s big enough for 2 people to share. I also get their green juice or carrot juice. I’ve been wanting to try their acai bowls. That’s on my list. Also, their fruit salads are declcious!

Frutas is the place! I LOVE their tortas, this is actually my favorite place to eat tortas their bread tho… its soft with a light crunch. Their fruit salad is gigAntic even for two ppl to finish. Its bomb tho cuz they hook up the fruit with granola honey and sunflower seeds and cottage cheese, the fruits and veggies are always fresh. The salads too are

They have other stuff that’s good (tortas, sandwiches), but expensive. Tonight I went in for an acai bowl. To be frank it was the worst acai bowl I have had. I have tried bowls at a minimum 10 different places and this by far is the worst. The toppings are nice, but the acai is watered down with ice and agave to the point where it just tastes like water and agave with a slight hint of acai flavor. Its was to expensive. I asked them to blend it with less ice so they could keep some of the original flavor and supposedly they did so I can only imagine what the real one taste like. Its litteraly the consistency of water with ice. I also asked for mango the cashier said yes but they didn’t put mango on it either. Really dissatisfied

LOVE FRUTAS! Fresh fruits, juice, smoothies… and they’re known for their tortas too.
+ fruit salad — $ 5.50 for a 16oz. My favorite. Comes with honey-​do, cantelope, grapes, strawberries… and mango, papaya upon request with no extra charge. Topped with cottage cheese, sunflower seeds, raisins! SO GOOD, healthy, and filling. I had to eat it in 2 sittings. I would literally have this every morning for breakfast if I lived nearby.
+ multigreen juice — $ 3.50 for a 16 oz, which is very cheap for a green juice! Packed with nutrients and affordable. Great for the «I need to detox» days.
Will definitely be back.
