My previous review was some what better then this one will be lets start off 4 days ago was our first time going here because of bad reviews and a few management changes a coworker said to try there sandwiches I told him I don’t think so Sense they opened there have a bad reputation with the local people I told him I would try the sandwich it was a Thursday and it was packed ok good sign and I know they recently have a new manager the super sandwich was amazing and the other food was good also ok the next day I went in for another sandwich once again it was amazing now it’s Monday looking forward to that sandwich went in just before 8 pm walked back to the take out area they said there system is not working I had to order from the hostest desk there were 2 girls there I asked for the super sandwich with extra meat and toasted the exact same thing I orders on Friday takeout but today it was 2 dollars more of course I questioned it they became aggressive in tone and body language I ask why it was 2 dollars more then 2 days ago in a smart tone they said that’s the way it’s is then I told them it needs to be consistent they rolled there eyes and one girl walked off I said wow really at that point I asked for the manager she said she gone I asked is she coming back her response was I don’t know maybe I walk away then I realized I left my receipt asked for it and said I need it so when I post this people can see the difference from day to day price changes in a smart tone she said Ok What really saved this was the bar tender I do apologize I asked her name but it started with«D «I want to say Diane but that’s not it She defused the situation because at this time I would never go back. thank you to that bar tender. Because of those 2 girls I understand the bad reviews in the past you can tell when employees care about there job and these girl don’t give a dam just bad attitudes I’ll post the receipt keep in mind there the exact same order

I came to eat here about 2 days ago. The reason I’m giving them a 1 star is because the wait time for my food at least took 40 mins, which was only one cheese pizza and when they finally brought my pizza it was a pepperoni pizza! I’ve gone their a couple of times before and they do the same thing!

I never order spaghetti at a restaurant because my home made is always better. However!!! I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana with spaghetti and Wow, loved it. Also Gio the bartender is very friendly. Definitely will go back.

Celebrated my son’s 1st birthday here on a Thursday empty night. Waitress came over and told us at the end of our meal that our kids were being too loud. 4 adults/4 kids. They were not loud, not even crying. I don’t get it with this place. You guys are nothing like the friendly family feel of the other locations. Why give this place another chance? Each time has been a dud.

From Little Italy to Broadway street in Chula Vista no complaints about them. This one is about the one Eastlake. We called to place an order for pick-up. One large fit for a king(soo good) and a medium half cheese half pepperoni. Once we got home and so hungry and ready to eat I guees Filippi’s was short on pepperoni. Please see the picture it is somewhat sad and funny. Honestly I do recommend this place but it is a hit or miss at this particular place.

Worst pizza ever. We love Filipis on Broadway and enjoy the one in Jamul at least 3 times a month for the past 14 years… I think this one in Eastlake must not be a family member or one who should be on «worst chef» tv show on cooking channel. Poor food, poor service. Tried dining in and take out. Both were awful. Just get back in your car and drive to one of the other locations.

I wasn’t a fan of this location but since its been under new management it has become my favorite Filippi’s location. Great improvement on their customer service. We usually order take out and the longest wait time has been 25 minutes.

I ate at the one in San Diego and ordered the same pasta. It was so good. But at this Chula Vista location… it had no flavor and was watery. Have not been lucky in finding good food in Chula Vista. At least in the eastlake and Otay ranch parts of Chula Vista. We have to drive 20 – 30 min to get good food. Isn’t recommend this restaurant. Only the one in San Diego. I have given it 2 stars because of our waitress. She was nice.

Filippi’s is really hit or miss with me. Sometimes we go and the service and food are great. Other times, it’s just not very good. While I love their lasagna and manicotti, it’s come out cold a couple of times. The meatballs are outstanding. The pizza is awful. The beer list could be a lot better. I guess it’s about figuring out what you like on the menu and getting them on a really good night in the kitchen. Would love to see some better consistency out of them though.

I have to say that when this placed opened up I didn’t care too much about it. Service and food was awful! Ever since the new management started the service and food is now very good. I actually went back and was amazed of how much everthing had changed to the better! I had my daughter’s celebration held there yesterday. My family was iffy with Filippis at eastlake because of the bad experience they had before but once they tried the food they were extremely happy and satisfied. Service and food was great! Thank you!

Ordered a spaghetti with meat sauce, medium pizza, garlic bread and a meatball on the side. Spaghetti, pizza and meatball was pretty tasty. I was impressed with the sauce. Not bad… Not bad at all. Garlic bread was pretty bad. It looked good… It was drizzled with some balsamic vinegar, however the texture was rough and chewy… Pretty stale. I wouldn’t order it again. Wait time was about 15 minutes for a party of 5. About 20 minutes to order and get our food and 15 minutes to get our check.

So I decided to go bring the family here for dinner and I wanted to sit outside by the fire pit. I don’t know, maybe a total of fifteen tables with only one table being used, was told it would take fifteen minutes before I got to sit down? Because they have no servers available. On a Friday evening! Have been here once before and had bad food with service, now the second time, what a joke. I will not be returning here… If you want faster service with patio seating with help, go next door to Lolita’s! FYI, I posted the pictures of the seating to show how empty it was…

When this location opened it had its issues. Some I understand. Let’s face it some businesses need to work out the kinks. I’ve gone back several times only to get the one star service that I had when it opened. We took a break and heard it was under new management so we returned. Our first time back in months and we were seated in «Kay Kay’s» section. To put it bluntly she was awesome. She had excellent customer service. She was nice and she was upbeat. She always made sure our cups were full and as she passed asked if we needed anything. She was the epitome of customer service. We found out that she’s been there since the beginning. All those times and we never had her as our server?! Tragic. We’ve gone back two times since and enjoyed the same excellent service. The food is now to the typical standards we expect, which is amazing. Thanks to Kay Kay(KK) we enjoy going back! And thanks to KK and the renewed taste in the food and service I have updated my review from 1 to 5 stars. Well done KK! Thank you!

Picked up a large Antipasto salad for lunch, added shrimp for $ 6.00. Total for the not so «large» salad about $ 19.00. I get back to work, I have no fork, no napkins and very little, small shrimp in my salad. Tasty but over priced for what I got. On another note, Love the one in Little Italy.

Figure with the reviews we would give this place a shot being new to this area. My night to pick a place, husband was not keen on Italian but he folded as all great husbands should… We were seated quickly and server was right there within the 3 min time frame for great service. Calamari was fabulous! Not frozen and lightly breaded. Salad, get the house dressing, sounded scary but it was awesome. Part Italian and part blue cheese. I ordered lasagna, but out due to being a top seller, 30 min wait, so I ordered manicotti just about the same and amazing! Husband had chicken parmesan which he snarffed down. So tender. Sangria a plus! As we were leaving husband raved on this place! Woohoo, winner! We will be back during the weekdays as they have a $ 20 special for 2.

Very disappointed. It took almost an hour to get the pizza we ordered and there wasn’t hardly anybody there. It would have been nice to have lunch there to just sit down and enjoy our pizza which of course didn’t happen. I don’t think a pizza would be that hard and long to make. I felt so bad especially for my grandchildren who were looking forward to having pizza. We all decided to just skip the lunch and take it home. I think I will stick to the Filippi’s in Kearny Villa. They are far more efficient no matter what time of the day even on a busy day.

This is finally earning 4 Stars. Before, for us it was 2 Stars because of the terrible service, which was sad, as the Little Italy location is such a part of our history together. We are happy that they have worked out the kinks, and that the service is finally improved. We’re now happy to consider it a go to for great Italian food. Our go to menu item is the Antipasta Salad! You will NOT be let down! The pizzas are finally on par with Little Italy. The pastas are amazing! And finally, the service is getting better!

This is a newer location with excellent service. We ordered a large pizza to share as well as a large salad and both were fresh and great quality. Love their marinara and the crust on the pizza is pretty good as well. Prices and portions are fair, the meals are pretty large and filling. Simple interior, no frills, just good food, worth a stop while in the area.

The food & customer service were great! I’ve been to other Filippi’s Pizza & by far this is my favorite one hands down. Yeah yeah I know a few people have wrote bad reviews bout there customer service. Well either they got better waitresses now or people are just tripping to trip(most people/customers in Eastlake just like to complain because they got $ & feel there better then others, not all but most act like that, just saying). Well my service from my waitress was awesome, she was on point & very attentive, her name I believe was Roony. I love the atmosphere here & very modern look it has. It’s very clean & at night you can eat outside & they have a fire pit next to the tables. The food we had was on point! I had a meatball & buffalo wings to start & they were very good. The meatball is a must, very tender & big. The wings no lie were one of the best wings I’ve had. My wife had a lasagna & she loved it, I helped her of course & it was good. Father in Law had spaghetti & he was really impress. Our appetizers & meals came out at a good time, yes the large pizza took a little bit longer then expected but it was all good because our waitress gave us another order of wings on the house & she was very nice & apologize & was very good with the refills. And she kept checking on us, she was great! Once the pizza came we were ready & wow! It was big & delicious. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Me & my whole family were very impress & loved our food & our customer service. Yes the pizza took a bit long but not too long & it can be a bit pricy but the great customer service & delicious food made up for it! We found our new pizza place & we will continue to come back!

I LOVE Filippi’s, just not this location. Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 2ish, the place was empty with just a few other customers scattered around… So even with an empty restaurant, we were told that there was a 45 minute wait for pizza… Why!!! So we ordered other food instead. But the wait was so long, we might as well have waited on the pizza! I’m use to the fast pace and speed of the other locations, especially at a time when it wasn’t busy at all… Even our garlic bread and salad took FOREVER to get to us. They seemed to be staffed well enough… Shruggggs… The garlic bread was like Texas toast, but we were hungry so it tasted good. Buttery and garlicky. Calamari was nicely coated but looked a little empty on the plate. The lettuce on my salsa were cool and crisp. But aside from the lettuce, the only thing on it was ONE pepper, ONE cherry tomato, and ONE olive. Literally. Alfredo with shell noodles… The texture of the noodles were fine. But to me, the Alfredo sauce was seriously lacking flavor. Unfortunately, this location does not live up to Filippis standards… This location does have a nice open/spacious dining area… But that’s about all it has going for it. Sorry.
