This place was amazing when it was a buffet. Went too many a time back in the day but the last time we came it was no longer a buffet. Unfortunately it is no longer in our price range but I wish them luck.

We go just for the shrimp. All the way from escondido to chula vista and it’s worth it. And now that the food is made to order we get fresh shrimp every time we use to have to wait for new shrimp when it was a buffet because sometimes the shrimp was old and stale and coming all the way from escondido for old stale shrimp was not going to cut it I belive the price is high but for freshness and portions it passes at least I don’t get those evil looks from the little Chinese man who owns the place when he would see me stack up a mountain of shrimp on my plate good times

The prices are high the food blah and customer service was mmmm k. Large place if the food was better I would have a party here it’s so big. The orange chicken was good I will admit but the rest needed flavor and less bones in the rice. Yes I bit into a bone fragment!!! Will I be back? No. It taste like Chinese food in Mexico. Ok added a star for the free jello.

My second time here and still the s**t! Normally I would go to a place to try it and not be back for a month or two. But this place was so good, I came back within a week. Good food, great price. Service was excellent as well. Looks, however, place looks as if it’s been around for years, which it has. Could use a little upgrade, but not necessary.

The place still has good food compared to when it was a buffet. Even if the food is still good it’s not outstanding. I feel like the restaurant just wanted more money. They are extremely understaffed we waited for over 10 mins with no service we got our own menus and silverware. The only one who noticed us was the buser and he did nothing. The environment was unwelcoming to outsiders my GF is Filipino and I’m Irish. My GF pointed out many customers who came in after us who had received service and who were of Mexican. This was just our experience others might be different. Reason why I am not giving it 1 star is when the waitress from other side of the restaurant realize we were being ignored she took us as her customer too. She did treat us well and seemed new so hats off to her.

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 10 years. I work very close and have always been impressed with the food and wait-staff. The owners have recently remodeled and went from buffet style to typical menu ordering. Since the remodel, the lunch specials are what I typically order. My favorite being the salt & pepper fried shrimp meal $ 7.99. They have typical classic specials for $ 5.99. I recently have been ordering to-go, but the quality of shrimp is much better than when it was a buffet and the portion size, well, lets say, nobody is walking away hungry. The previous preview is wrong about the pricing. Dinner menu shrimp is $ 14.99 well worth it! Their menu is very large and not a long wait! I will be returning!

Walked into this place yesterday and saw that there is no longer a buffet. It is now a sit-down restaurant and the floors have been renovated. I was really looking forward to eating those delicious battered garlic shrimp, but they are charging 18 dollars a plate. Yikes, where else can I find this???

Good food but over priced customer service was unprofessional and have no respect for people who can’t eat pork so my fiancé ordered his rice without pork cuz he can’t eat pork and they charged us $ 5 just for making rice without pork & they laughed about it rude people I will never go back to that place again

I love this place. I always bring my white friends to this place and they love it! They always feel intimidated since it’s mostly a Mexican people joint but hey Mexican people know about good Chinese food! They place is gonna leave me so chubby!

It’s alright, went there for mothers day. As expected, they hiked up the price only because they where serving some breaded shrimp. I peeled of the breaded part only to reveal this itsy bitsy shrimp underneath. A common practice used by Chinese restaurants. Always trying to fool you. By the way, they where charging $ 14 /person. Not too bad I guess for taking out the ol’ gal on her day. Still the best chinese buffet in Chula Vista in my opinion.

One of the best Chinese buffets I’ve ever tried in San Diego. The garlic shrimp and fish are one of the best items. I urge you to try them. Worth the price.

I’ve been here a few times now. They keep their buffet items the same which is kind of boring, but it works I suppose. The food is good, service is good. My only pet peeve is they assume you speak Spanish. I know very little spanish so that’s not good for me, my fiancé knows a bit more so he was able to communicate a bit. Afterwards he came back to our table and spoke perfect English. It is not your most typical chinese buffet, it is a chinese buffet run by Mexicans more power to them just know it’s not your typical chinese dinner. I think the prices could be adjusted a little bit. They don’t really have a dessert section, if you like seafood you’re in luck, their chicken had been sitting out too long though which was not very appetizing. Their décor is also way out dated but they do have a couple of TVs. Are there better places? Yes, but this one does hit a spot that a lot of people enjoy. It’s not the worst, it’s not the best, but it’s good.

I love this place. It’s extremely intimate and the novelas reminds me of my childhood. I think that’s why people are a little turned off. Not high end by any means but good food at a decent price. And it’s all you can eat so these people putting up poor revues were complaining more about the setting rather than the foodand the service. I love seafood and hey do it right here. I consider this a gem in the rough. If it stays that way I don’t mind. It’s my secret spot.

Local family joint. The selection is full of seafood, which I can complain about. The food is really good too. I used to eat here all the time when I was in high school. I surprisingly never got sick of the food. The deep fried seasoned shrimp is a must try! Best I have ever had.

Honestly, I have never been to a Chinese food restaurant that has both Mexican food and Spanish novelas playing on their tv’s. This place is not too shabby, the floor needed a good few passes with a Hoover vacuum but other than that… it was decent. There was a variety of different dishes including sushi. It was a little beat up but great for kids I suppose. Pretty nice twist, if you ask me. The staff was polite and attentive and there was an ice cream machine as well. The hubby enjoyed an abundance worth of crab legs and garlic shrimp. I, on the other hand stuck to the usual. Nice place to take the fam if you like the«home» feeling of eating out. The only downfall is that my hair and clothes smell like I was cheek to cheek with a damn lobster.

Inexpensive & good for groups. It reminds me of the Chinese food in Tijuana. Lots to choose from & very tasty. The ceviche & sushi is not great but everything else is delicious.
