I a huge sonic fan and stop when we see one when traveling. This sonic was terrible! We got a corn dog that was burned and looked like someone stepped on it, Cookie dough shakes without the cookie dough, and just sub par food all the way around. To top it all off — a poorly kept bathroom makes this a sonic to skip. If this is your only experience with a sonic you’re missing out.

The food is as expected from a Sonic. Service is good. The main complaint is the huge chasm of a pothole in the parking lot… fix it already! Every time I go it is a bit larger.

Sonic in Christiansburg may as well close at 6pm. The food and service turn to crap any time after dinner rush. Melted milkshakes, microwaved tator tots with the foil melted on to them, cooled hot dogs, just one of the many lay night visits to Sonic I always regret.

I don’t much care for the food but the drinks and deserts are excellent and justify a trip. Their slushies are very good if not too good. Once I get one I can’t stop gulping at it and frequently get excruciating brain freezes. There have been times I actually thought I was going to die of a brain aneurysm.

When trying to decide where to dine, Sonic is regularly forgotten about. That probably says enough for you if you’ve never had it.

We stop at Sonic when we travel down south because there isn’t any in the north east. Its your typical fast food except you park in a little drive in type décor. Some have the waiters on roller skate but this one did not. Food is large and greasy but they have the chilli coney dogs and tots with a lime aid that all my north east friends crave.

I used to never be able to find a Sonic where I lived and was over the moon to go to one. I’ve quickly learned that Sonic isn’t about the ‘food’ as it’s sub-par. But it’s the DRINKS! I love everything from their slushies to lemonades/limeades. And you gotta love the ‘eat in your car’ theme they make standard to all of their locations. Even though it can take longer, it can be nice to just SIT and relax.

love sonic! i miss sonic! i wish there was one closer to me! there’s only one thing that i always get … strawberry cream slush! it’s perfect any time of the day. it’s not too creamy and you can also taste some chunks of strawberries.(sometimes it can get really sweet towards the bottom because the syrup wasn’t stirred well). it’s always worth the drive from blacksburg to sonic just for the cream slush!

PROS: from 2−4pm, all their drinks/sushies are half price for happy hour. The food is delicious! mmm coney island hot dog. CONS: they need some sonics in Northern VA. also the wait service was extremely slow. and I had to repeat my order through the intercom about 5 times. literally. Food 4 Service 2 = average of 3
