This was a fun place to stop and shop for gifts. Supermarket, ice cream shop, toys, kitchen stuff. Friendly staff. We picked up fudge, candies, pickled goods like eggs and okra. Love the Amish stores. This was a bigger one the whole family enjoyed.

Unexpected oasis in Chouteau! The kids were beginning to get restless so I started to look at our options. After finding out that the Cherokee restaurant in Vinita did not serve authentic Native American fare, we decided to press on. We found the Amish Cheese House and were blown away by the descriptions! We. Were. Not. Disappointed. Amazeballs! Speaking of balls, the cheese balls were excellent. After enjoying a lunch of a buffalo chicken wrap, we explored the store and bakery… Fudge, cheese, Jerky, you name it the Amish Cheese House has it. Clean, friendly, amazing. Worth the stop.

The smoked green onion cheese is worth the drive to Chouteau. The cheese from here tastes so fresh! Make sure to stop in the bakery as well, their selection of frozen entrees are delicious! Grab some jalapeño cheese bread, it goes great with chili.

This is worth a drive from Tulsa to visit. For lunch I always get the roast beef, pepper cheese, horseradish mayo and wheat bread. The soups are good in winter and for summer you can either choose a garden salad or macaroni salad. Both are fresh and it’s all good. Ice cream is unique and homemade. Lots of different stuff to take home but my favor is the habanero cheese. Awesome!

Wow, what a neat place to visit… There were so many things I wanted to purchase yet I was on vacation visiting friends. The prepared stocks and soup items made my culinary blood start boiling and all the pie fillings… Omg just amazing! Then there is the fudge which I did buy… Um… 12 pieces… Sooooo good! Oh, they have cheese there too,

In a sea of old gas stations and greasy fast food places, this bakery and café is a real gem. They have a huge selection of grocery items on one side and a café on the other. I got the chicken bacon wrap for lunch and it was so good. Huge portion and very fresh.

It’s a deli, a store, a cheese supplier and a lunch spot. Most of all its Amish which gives it automatic street cred it wouldn’t have otherwise. Lots of Amish goodies line the store shelves. You can buy deli meats. And of course cheeses of all kinds are available. The sandwiches are the build it to suit variety. They have the list of options and you tell them what to put on it. They are generous with meat on the sandwich. The bread was soft and fresh. Obviously the cheese was great. Definitely worth stopping in if you are traveling down 412 around lunch time. Don’t let the drive through Chouteau deter you. This is a clean well kept place. They also have ice cream. What’s not to love about that.

Visited yesterday 3⁄21 It has been about 3 years since I was last here, but since the last time I was here, they had really expanded the building, they now have a new café’ area that serves ice cream, with a second story for seating. I also hadn’t noticed the bakery area on the south side of the building previously. I am really impressed with their selection of jams, jellies, pickled items, dip mixes, pie fillings… etc.

This place is awesome! On one side is a little bakery with all kinds of pies, breads, cookies, cinnamon rolls, brownies, etc. On the other side is a fabulous store with a HUGE selection of things in jars, boxes of dip mixes, spices, soup mixes, noodles, grains, jerky, cheese balls and all kinds of other yummy things that I can’t remember. They also have all kinds of kitchen gadgets, rugs, quilts, and gifts. I was especially impressed with their selection of no-sugar-added jams and jellies. No sugar added apple butter? Don’t mind if I do. We didn’t even get all the way through it! Can’t wait to come back!!! Make sure to check this place out if you are driving though the area!!!

I’ve shopped at this place several times and love all their homemade goodies, but I had never eaten from their café. I just happened to be passing through around lunch time on a Friday and stopped in. I had the small grilled chicken bacon ranch wrap and a side of pasta salad. The wrap was full of fresh ingredients and was delicious. The pasta salad had a potato salad type dressing. The flavor was good, but too overpowering for the pasta. I’m sure it would be great as potato salad, though. They also serve several kinds of salads and that seemed to be what most people were having that day. I was pleasantly surprised to see spinach and different kinds of greens instead of the boring iceberg or romaine that I expected. Even though I was stuffed from my «small» wrap, I just had to stop into the bakery at the other end of the store. As soon as you walk in the door you are overwhelmed with the smell of fresh baked goods and it warms your heart. I grabbed some no bake cookies and brownies to go. Four no bake cookies and 2 big brownies for $ 3! You can’t beat that and they were delicious! I wish I would have got some chocolate chip cookies too though. Next time…

I insist on having lunch here every time we pass through the area. Some of THE best sandwiches that I’ve ever had have been assembled at this place. Be sure you go through their store and pick up a cheeseball with bacon. They’re graham cracker pretzels are also fantastic!

If you’re looking for pie, bread, jams, jelly, anything baked or home-cooked, this is the place to come. Home cooking is out of this world. I came here to get a frozen chicken pot pie to take home to cook raisin bread, whole wheat bread, and some artichoke and spinach pasta. I also got a fresh cherry pie. Now to go home and ruin my diet! They do have a small restaurant where you can eat there.

We passed this en route to Kansas City from DFW. It is a simple grocery with loads of real Amish goods from their community in OK and another one in OH. The German Chocolate cake is AMAZING! Moist and not too sweet. My husband and I think theirs if so much better than the Magnolia Bakery in NYC. Plus its so much cheaper too! We also bought Molasses, Jam(no sugar!), apple butter and sassafras tea concentrate that we’d be trying soon. Though I was disappointed with the Amish soda. I wish they’d brew homemade Amish root beer like the Dutch Haven in Lancaster County, PA. Next time we drive by, we will definitely be bringing a cooler so that we can bring home cheeses, sausages and maybe a tub of homemade ice cream. Oh and I’d like to try their pies :)

Love the Amish Cheese House! I’ve been meaning to stop by for years on the way to see family in Locust Grove, but every time I drove past it was either after closing time or on a Sunday. Finally got to visit the other day and so glad I did! The selection of products is great — there’s a guarantee you’ll be leaving with at least one item, if not a whole basket full! The bakery(Nettie Ann’s) smells amazing! They have homemade breads, cinnamon rolls, cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, lemon squares, dessert breads, homemade frozen meals, ice cream cakes and treats… awesome! They also have a discount rack for day old bread for 50% off. I purchased some fudge brownies(small container, but I really wanted the large one… but I also want my pants to fit so I compromised) and they looked like they’d be a little dry but OMG they were amazing! Another purchase I made was this amazing homemade«fluffernutter» spread. A small container ran about $ 1.47(price depends on weight) and it was sooooo worth it! Yum! I also picked up a small jar of pickled beets, homemade strawberry jam, and some locally made soap that smelled like cotton candy. The Amish Cheese House carries ground spices, homemade noodles, baking spices/items, dried fruit, snack mixes, tons of canned items(and by that, I mean jars), jellies, jams, butters, meats, fudge, coffee, and of course CHEESE! If you visit you might bring a cooler b/c you will definitely want to check out the freezer section. BUT if you forget your cooler they do sell reuseable bag coolers. Can’t wait to go back!

This is the only reason(other than gas) to stop in OK. The Amish Cheese house is the perfect spot for a wholesome homestyle sandwich, especially if you like Liverwurst. Their food products are spectacular, especially the«meat» cheeseball. I plan my drive through OK based on whether the cheese house is open or not, and always bring a cheeseball home. There is a small dining area, and a separate bakery attached to the building. Plenty of soda and road snacks as well as sandwiches.

After driving by these large bill-boards that say«Amish Cheese House… FREESAMPLEINSIDE» I had to stop by! It turns out that the free sample of cheese is just this little plate of cubed cheese on the back corner somewhere by itself. It looks like it’s been sitting there and no one watches if anyone uses their bare hands. It’s a little disappointing but it’s still interesting to see the employee’s wear Amish clothing. I didn’t eat here for their lunch but I did browsed their selection of Amish foods. They sell local jam, candies, bottled drinks, lots of snacks(good for road trips), and of course cheese. I didn’t see anything I liked but I will come back and pick up something«Amish» to bring home next time.
