Winehaven Winery

(Here is my five stars review y’all have been waiting for. Lol. Jk)
This is review is based on their wedding event and I’m making it super short.
My friend had a wedding here and it is about 40 minutes drive from the cities. You can’t miss it driving on Highway 8. The entrance to the vineyard is beautiful, It almost make you feel like you are in Napa Valley. The space inside is big enough to hold a wedding. We had complimentary wine by the bride and groom. The wine was from the vineyard, it was made with honey and grapes. I think I had too much of it because by the end of the night I was still drinking. Oops. Well it is a wedding after all.
The staff was excellent. They made sure the guests were comfortable. Definitely fully trained with a lot of knowledge about different wine. The event was very well organized. By the end of the night I was surprised no one break anything. I would definitely come back and try out their other wines.

Great selection of wines to choose from for the wine tasting. Beautiful location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Only left with 2 bottles but would definitely go back for more.

Winehaven has by far my favorite wines in Minnesota. I only make up here once per year, because they are part of the wine, cheese and chocolate weekend in November. This means that I have to load up on my order! Since I bought 5 bottles, the 6^th was free! (not sure if this deal is ongoing or not). In the past 2 years or so they have greatly expanded from the tiny space they used to work from. This new space is large, homey, very bright due to the large windows. They overlook the vineyard and you can see right where the grapes come from. The new space is lovely and I bet they host weddings and company gathering now!
The wine tasting is free on wine, cheese, chocolate weekend. Typically, it is $ 5 for 8 tastings. They have well over eight wines to try in categories of white, red and specialty. I have a hard time narrowing down what I want to buy since there are a few stars in each category. Sometimes I miss out on the special wines, like Rhubarb since I don’t go until late in the season. They are open all year round, have a great space to hangout and drink wine, friendly family members (owners) work there, and the parking lot is huge!

This was our first stop on our Wisconsin Winery tour and I loved it! Immediately when pulling in, it looked peaceful and so inviting. The area is perfect. The winery, if you sit outside where we sat, overlooks a pretty little lake. Its a picturesque, calming, place to spend a few hours.
Immediately upon entering, we were greeted, shown some samples of a hot wine which was absolutely delicious, and given our options for tasting. If you check in on Unilocal,you get 50% off a wine tasting which is normally only $ 5 dollars!!! This includes 8 tastings and the glass folks!!! You take your glass, and head to the other part of a beautiful, newer, building. At a long buffet style, white table clothed table, the nicest ladies pour your tastings.
I loved the wine here, especially the Rhubarb Wine! You get to pick from a large selections for your tastings which I truly appreciated since I only like sweet wines. We tried Rhubarb, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach, Raspberry, and honey wine. I liked the Rhubarb first, then the honey wine second but I truly liked them all! No throwing out wine here!
We spent a few hours here, sitting outside, looking at the lake, and just enjoying the peace. I could sit there all day but we had to move on to our next stop.
The Best Winery we visited all day!

I’ve been a Winehaven fan for a long time and their new winery is amazing! Friendly staff. Generous samples. They also sell wine by the glass if you want to just sit and relax and take in the beautiful ambiance. When visitors come to town it’s great to have such a fun and beautiful winery to take them to. Their gift shop is worth a stop too. Really cute wine gifts and associated merchandise. Oh, and did I mention the wine? Delicious! No wonder they’ve won tons of awards for them!

My favorite Minnesota winery!

Stopped by here Saturday evening last weekend and this is my first visit since the new building remodel. Lots of space now, tables to sit at. The building is very nice. The bar area for wine tasting gets very crowded so expect a short wait to squeeze in to get tasting. Wine tasting consists of six samples for $ 5, though the fee is waived if you purchase 2 bottles of wine for more. They have some good wines. The favorite seems to be the Deer Garden Red, it is on the sweeter side though.

Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced wine tastings (8 tastings for $ 5). My favorite was the Pumpkin Wine, served with a cookie… Perfect for the time of year.
Great discounts as well… Buy 10 bottles and get 2 free. They have a wine club as well where you can get 4 shipments of your favorite wine, 4x per year plus free tastings and tours.
