I’ve gone here to numerous barbers and they all mess my hair up. Every time! The last time I went was around December(in cases of extreme emergency when my barber is booked) asked for a tapper. Was given a high fade… The main guy(owners son) tried instructing someone on how to fix it(I would’ve tried myself if I was the person in charge). Didn’t work since the damage was done. Wouldn’t recommend it for a younger crowd. If you’re 50+ and focused more on a local barber than a good one then sure… But be prepared to have owners son ramble the entire time…

It really all depends on who cut your hair here. The older guys are more experienced but the younger guys listen better. Over the years I’ve found that Brandon and some of the young bloods are pretty good if you know what you want.

I have been living in Chino for nearly 60 years. I been getting haircuts all my life here and remember getting in the booster seat and getting my first sucker for sitting still for the Barber. This shop is by far the best in the valley. I was a Marine for 23 years and when ever possible preferred paying a bit more for my haircut rather then getting it cut on base. I’ve seen this small shop grow its clients as I’ve seen many of it’s barbers come and go. Brandon and his father expects nothing less then perfection from their barbers. And believe me that his less than 5 Star reviews are not from clients but disgruntled barbers that just didn’t meet Brandon’s expectations of perfection. I’ve personally waited several times 30 minutes or more for a haircut because of the time they give each client their personal attention to perfect the cut the customer wants. And this don’t bother me a bit as I know I’m going to get that from then when its my turn in the chair! I hope this shop isn’t jeapordized because of a few barbers making false reviews because they just couldn’t cut the mustered! Brandon congrats on a great hard working crew that strives to meet or exceed your customers expectations of a perfected professional haircut.

I’ve been getting my haircut at big w for a few years and now. My biggest complaint is simple. If your gonna raise prices you need to provide a comparable service. I paid $ 16 for a haircut that took less than 15 min. Because i was rushed i had to get another haircut 2.5 weeks later because it was so uneven. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Back to back. I will be going to to Big D in azusa. Not sure but i think this used to be a big w. They are very consistent.

I’ve always gotten a good haircut here. I’ve been going here for every haircut since 2009. Brandon always lets me know when he’s open, and the best times to go. He also lets me text him to find out how long the wait is, so I can manage my time better. The reviews below are silly and unwarranted. It’s your right to opinion however, and while on that same token – no person should have to feel like they have to censor their conversation anywhere, whether it’s in private, or their own place of business. Last time I checked, barber shops have been a place for conversation among people for as long as the profession has been around. I’ve been to other places where conversation has been straight up vile, and unprofessional, but I know that that can come with the territory of being at a barber. The Big W has always been clean every time I’ve gone, and the staff has always been friendly to the consumer. I’ve not once witnessed Brandon or any of the staff be rude to anyone, or myself while getting a cut there. They seem to have a large clientele, so they must be doing something right. I go to Brandon, and don’t mind waiting when I go because I know he’s consistent and the job is going to be done right. I don’t know much about their finances, but the pricing is in reflection of the normal inflation rate, especially when compared to other barber shops in the area. I recommend Big W to anyone who wants a good, clean, cut and a fair price.

Wish I could give a zero. I brought my friends son here for a haircut and the macho warrior that everyone refers to on here is the most obnoxious, aggravating person I’ve ever encountered, Very unprofessional and very greedy. I don’t recommend this place because it’s disgusting and the workers are unprofessional. *Stay Away*!!!

A good traditional barber shop. It’s exactly what barber shops were back in the day. I take my son there every couple of months and it’s always a great job.

Oh boy! Say it ain’t so! Another two dollar increase on the haircut. Seems to me two years ago we were at $ 12 per haircut. $ 16? Are you for real? Is the financial plan to be at $ 20 by 2017? why wait till then? Just do it now, I would assume you’re going to lose good customers anyway. I’ll tell you what, you’ve lost this loyal customer. I heard you even cut your employees commissions! Dang… i’ve been getting my haircut there since I was a wee lad and I’ve been very loyal but this is over-the-top. barbershops are a dime a dozen. I’m sure I can find one that’s going to be $ 12. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating. I know you’ve got a business to run and bills to pay and families to feed but so do I so it’s time I bite the bullet and look for a new barber chair. It was a good run Big Dub but it’s time we part! Like the saying goes, «business is business.» Love you guys! Find me when you come back to earth…

owner is rude and obnoxious and has NO concern for people w/disabilities. And the guy Stallion 6 speaks about in a previous review,(heroin or some other heavy narcotic) junkie, yep, machismo, has-been, wannabe.

Good haircuts for years. However the dude in the corner dressed like some rock star is either on Heroin or some heavy narcotic, EVERYSINGLETIME I GOIN. He’s either nodding out then sudden burst of energy, dropping things etc. Kind of embarrassing for both employees and customers. But still overall good cuts just need to step it up on the customer relations a little better.

Can’t speak for all the barbers there, but Carlos always takes great care of me… Inside looked the cleanest today out of all the times I’ve been there. Rumor has it they are going to get some old barber chairs and start doing shaves. Classic, hot towel, straight razor… Shaves. I can’t wait!!!

No. 2 tapered, spike the top! Brando always gets it right! This Family owned barber shop has great prices and barbers to choose from. You have your choice of some old timers and some younger girls & guys. Take your pick. I prefer the owner’s son Brandon who always makes my hair look good. I’m not gonna lie, when I was trying everyone out I didn’t always get the perfect haircut, but it was never bad. Each barber has their regulars, so even if I didn’t prefer them someone else did. The point — You have a Choice! and you’re sure to find someone you like whether it’s to look at or to cut your hair. Don’t forget to leave a good tip if you like the haircut and decent tip even if you didn’t.

It all depends when you come to the Big W. You choose one of the old timers(especially the men) and you’re bound to get an uneven trim, but if you choose one of the more curvaceous young women there, you’re in for a fine trim indeed. If you’re a guy this is a two-for-one bonus for you. Mark my words… beware of the old timers.
