So this place brings out consistently good coffee! I used to be a loyal Starbucks person in the past but now my go to coffee chain is definitely coffee bean and this location! Drinks are always great, staff is friendly and good prices! Come here if you’re around the area and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for the hipster coffee price across the street!(;

I like CBTL specifically for the ‘Tea Leaf’ portion of their name. Their coffee is okay but I absolutely love their teas – mainly the hot tea lattes. I also enjoy their ice blended drinks during the summer as well. The Chino Hills location is easy to find & is in the same plaza as Sprouts. I haven’t spent much time inside as I usually just swing by & pick up my drink. But from what I observe as I stand around, it’s a clean location & the baristas are sweet. My go to drinks are usually the pearl jasmine tea latte & genmaicha tea latte with NSA vanilla powder for the colder days. As for the summer, I love getting the pomegranate blueberry ice blended with NSA powder as well. I also enjoy their loose-leaf teas as well. It’s high quality stuff. The drinks here are pretty expensive for what you get so I’ll come occasionally but I’m never disappointed when I do(except my wallet).

I have been coming here for years and they always take care of me. They are under new mgmt and I see a huge improvement. Coffee Bean is my go to in the mornings and I’m so thankful that I can start my day knowing they will make my tea just the way I like it! They mixed it up once and they fixed it with no questions asked. Thanks girls.

I got a gift card for here a while ago and so I decided I’d go try it out today. It wasn’t too busy when I came in so the cashier was able to be really attentive with me. I decided to get two wraps(Egg and Potato as well as the the Egg White, Pepperjack, and Roasted Pepper). I had the Egg and Potato one heated and it was quite yummy! I don’t think it was worth $ 5.99, but Starbucks food isn’t much cheaper. I haven’t eaten the other one yet. I also order a Mexican Hot Chocolate and it was amazing! I highly recommend.

I have been coming here for almost a year now. I have been a Starbucks fan for almost 10 years. Coffee Bean(specifically this location) has been exceptional ! I am a store manager across the way and the staff here is always on it! believe they are under new management — Christian has definitely turned up the notch. He constantly is engaging with his Guests and making sure they are taken care of during peak hours. Also since I am fairly New to going to coffee bean his suggestions to drinks have always been spot on ! There is definitely a shift in the team — and it is definitely a reflection on the management! Keep it up!

Great location with one exception: their toaster makes a persistent high pitched squealing sound. It makes the atmosphere unpleasant. Just turn it off when its not being used.

Purple Straw Company! Parking can be tricky. CB< is at the corner of a plaza entrance. Though there are parking in front of the shop, spaces are limited and turning in can be frustrating. I would park a little farther and walk over. I love tea and I love tea lattes even more. Back when CB< had fresh brewed tea, I would always ask them to make tea latte. On a couple occasions, they weren’t able to fulfill my order because it was not on the menu. Luckily, now it is part of the menu and I get to enjoy my English Breakfast tea latte. This Chino Hills location makes very rich flavor and I love it. The tea flavor is infused in the drink and doesn’t taste watered down. Staff is super cool and the drinks get made fairly quickly(coffee faster than tea). I would recommend this location to study and to hang with friends.

First of all, this review is ONLY for my experience on Sunday, 7⁄12 during Happy Hour time, in particular, the female barista. I’ve been a loyal customer of CBTL for years… not just here in California but in Asia and the Middle East. I believe CBTL’s taste and quality is unquestionably better than other coffee places. However, when it comes to the willingness to do whatever needs to be done to satisfy the customer, Starbucks has CBTL-Chino Hills beaten down to a pulp. My friend got an XL iced tea and decided to add a little bit of the liquid sweetener from the counter. There was a bitter taste to the sweetener(wonder if they switched the regular with artificial) and proceeded to tell the female barista about it. Instead of offering to make my friend a new drink, this barista started to tell him that the sweetener is new and in fact she was the one who put it in the bottle. No one really cares if the sugar plantation owner himself put the sweetener, your duty as a barista is to offer to make a new drink for your dissatisfied customer. Another friend from our group talked to one of the male baristas and the young man was nice enough to rectify the problem. We’ve never had any problems at this place before. Is it because it’s happy hour? Does CBTL also pay their baristas only half their salaries from 3−5pm? I did not know that both drinks and quality of customer service are HALFOFF during Happy Hour at the Chino Hills location.

Well, I guess everyone needs to know how bad is this CBTL joint. I will just copy and paste my inquiries to CBTL customer service. I guess all of their customers really ought to know how bad their customer service is. Apparently even after the complaints, they don’t change and they still treated their customer like garbage. I will remind myself that the next time I go there, I will videotaped everything. If it is not true, review all the bad reviews and you will know that this complaint is valid. 1. They treated customer like garbage 2. When a customer complained they threatened the customer. 3. Cycles repeated and CBTL joint lost its customer forever. This is my email complaint: I have been a coffee bean customer for ages, and not once I was left unsatisfied. However, the incident that happened at Chino Hills Coffee Bean store on 3÷7÷2015 left a bitter taste in my mouth. «I would like to make a complaint against Chino Hills Coffee Bean store’s manager(name not disclosed, it you are a frequent customer, you know who she is) who did not put customer first and rudely refused acknowledging the mistake being made to the customer.» I was wondering if your customer satisfaction still a big priority to you? The story went as follow: As you know, I have been your customers for ages, I always refilled my Coffee Bean card and when I worked close by to a Coffee Bean store I would always dropped by and bought coffee for my office. When you came out with tea Granitas, I immediately fell in love with it. However, not all Coffee Bean created equally, when you ordered the tea granitas, sometimes it tasted very bland because your employee did not put enough syrup in it or because your employee put too much ice and not enough tea in it(or maybe is just a defective recipe). There were some occasions where my XL tea granitas tasted very bad and on those occasions, lack of syrups or too much ice were the culprits. So every time, I had my XL tea granitas passion fruit, I always told the barista to make it sweeter than average and always told the barista to not go overboard with the ice. So far all of the coffee bean baristas I encountered always delivered great service, until 3÷7÷2015. On 3÷7÷2015 after a busy day at my medical practice office, I stopped by at Chino Hills Coffee Bean store. Apparently it was hot day, I was thirsty and my wife would also like to have a passion fruit tea granitas. I went in, placed my order and alas, this so called store manager took my order, was not in a pleasing way(well, maybe she was on her period?). Anyway, I did not really care. I placed my order with my card and told her what I told other Coffee Bean stores’ baristas all the time, «make it sweet please and please don’t go overboard with the ice.» Apparently, my concern was left unnoticed. Sure enough, when I had my tea granitas, it had no taste, it tasted like watered down tea. So I complained to her about my tea. When my complaint was left unheard, I asked for the manager, in which she professed that she was. I told her what was wrong with my tea granitas and then she turned defensive. I even told her to taste it herself. For a full five minutes, she tried to explain how the tea granitas was made with the syrup and the ice. For Pete’s sake, I don’t want to hear any of those. Just treat your customer well. After that commotion, instead fixing my problem, she came up with an idea, «We will make you another one, but each additional pump of syrup, we will charge you 50 cents! How many additional pumps do you want?» I was just in shocked the way she treated me. My question, is that how you train your store manager? To scorn your customer when your product was not acceptable to them? Not to fix the problem, but to create more problems? I never had any problems like this with Starbucks or Peet’s Coffee. So I requested a refund and she gladly did that and threw the defective Granitas. Wow, I am in shock. How are you going to make profits if you start shunning your customer? Now, you’re losing $ 5 from the tea that was thrown away, but you also did not make any money out of me? Is it simpler to do the right thing right the first time? You won’t lose $ 5, your customer will be very happy and will come back again for more, sure you may not make such a huge profit margin from 50 cents a pump, but you will have a steady income stream from your loyal customer. Again, it that’s how you train your store manager to be, you may still be in business, but you will never be number one, not in products and for sure not in customer service. Now, afterwards, the corporate office tried to fix this, but the district manager called me, scolded me, threatening me and told me to go to Starbuck, which I am very happy to do so. I might have to start posting«starbucks gallons to go» every time I buy one for my office to let the CBTL corporate office know how much money they’ve lost because of one irresponsible employee.

It’s 8:01 on a Saturday morning and I’ve already been awake for two hours, thirty minutes of those two hours I’ve been on the road. I’m pretty grumpy right now, but you know what MIGHT cheer me up? My nice, hot cup of coffee. You know what MIGHT make me even grumpier? Unfriendly, inattentive employees at the coffee house. As I walked into the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, I made immediate eye contact with and smiled at the female employee at the register. No smile. No «good morning». She turned and started walking towards the far end of the counter. My smile quickly turned to frown. I stood at the register, waiting to place my order for a few minutes while her back remained turned to me. Thinking she might be busy, I felt like I waited a long enough time before I called out«good morning» in her direction. Instead of acknowledging my greeting, she turned, walked to the register and said«What can I get started for you?». I ordered my black coffee. I paid. She turned around and poured the coffee. She handed it to me. That’s it. No «have a good day». No «here you go». Look, I get it. I didn’t want to have to work at MYJOB Saturday morning either. Sometimes, that just happens. Especially if you’re going to work in a coffee house, I kinda feel like you gotta be that«ray of sunshine» for the customers; not an over the top, so happy you’re annoying type, but, at least pleasant. Since the Coffee Bean’s coffee is pretty good black, the rating is based primarily on the experience. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, I made it to MY job that morning grumpier.

I LOVECBTL! Ok, my favorite drinks: –Blood orange iced tea –Chai tea latte –Jasmine dragon green tea latte –African sunset latte Well those are my favorite 4(and I’m more of a tea drinker). I’ve tried many others, and I haven’t had anything that I don’t like to love. This is also a great place to study at, I studied for my boards here; the lighting is brighter here than at Starbucks & more open tables(except for Sundays, it’s pretty packed). In terms of pastries, you MUST have their«Worlds Best Coffee Cake.» They have it daily, get it warmed! I’m convinced it may live up to its name! ;)

Another excellent CBTL location. Plenty of easy parking, excellent speedy service with a smile. I usually always go with the ultimate mocha, rich in chocolate and the chocolate covered coffee beans are money, they really set CBTL apart from any other coffee place, I’m addicted! This time I went with the seasonal toffee nut, add coffee beans and it was great as well. Nice flavors, very fitting for this time of year. While the mocha is still my favorite this was a nice change of pace and my favorite place to grab a blended coffee.

CBTL has always had great coffee so that’s an automatic 3 start. The staff here are extremely friendly and very pleasant to be around so that’s another star. Plenty of tables and the music is the right volume so that you can still use your headphones to study to your own music. My only complaint is that the men’s bathroom is never clean. Not to say there are feces everywhere but the ground is always dirty/muddy. If they fix that then I would have no problem giving 5 stars.

This had always been in the plaza with Chick Fil A and Sprouts and I had never been in here because I was with Starbucks. And across from the Shoppes, this place has numerous places to sit and study in, both inside and outside. The place looks really mid-Western there. Now for the drink, although the prices are high(just like Starbucks), the drinks are really nice. My matcha green tea wasn’t too sweet, blended just right. If you need a place to study, go here!
