The service sucked. My sister-in-law slipped coming out of the restroom cuz the floor was wet. She told the girl at the front desk and she tried to blame it on her heels. Dismissing that she fell in front of everyone. We had to ask for salsa after they put chips on our table. Our food finally got to us and we had to ask for silverware. The server helped another table before even getting our silverware, while our food was sitting on our table and getting cold. We asked for a box for our leftovers to the same server 3 times. I ordered a Margarita that was on the menu that they no longer serve. And they’re over priced that we felt was a 2 stars out of 5. I can keep going, but I think you get the picture.

Yum, yum, yum! I always try Pozole wherever I go and it’s never good enough to order again. This one is! Love it so much that I brought my(Mexico raised) mother for it and it’s mother approved. I couldn’t leave without having a cucumber jalapeño margarita.

Service was good, drink was good and food was good as well. Check in here so you can get one free curios and cream for dessert. Just the chips were little hard to bite.

The regular margarita on the rocks is great! The food is just not good — ever.

I rate lower only because this place used to better. I really love the update to the menu and décor but unfortunately the service and cleanliness took a hit. For the past several times they have been out of normal menu items during lunch and dinner.(Iced tea, chile rellano and Sprite) The lemonade is a powder mix making the list price too expensive. The quesadilla appetizer is extremely expensive for what you get. Last time we were seated by the bar and had to clean our own table, we asked the hostess for a rag for our table and she just handed us one. Honestly, I’ll most likely come back because I want it to be better and I am hoping for a better experience.

Food was good but slow service… they just needed more staff. I know it was taco Tuesday so you know it should be busy. All the rest was fine. I would go back, but probably earlier so before they get overwhelmed.

Elizabeth took care of our Ayala party of 25 and treated us so well! She rearranged tables in order to accommodate all of us!

Elizabeth is awesome, she gave our large and rowdy group great service. Food was great. Margaritas and bar selection was far better than most Mexican restaurants

A friend recommended this restaurant for my family and I to celebrate our parents anniversary. We took a look at their menu, and noticed they offer a variety of different options for a reasonable price. I called to make a reservation since we were going in for dinner on a Saturday night with a larger group, Katie(probably a hostess) was so rude on the phone, you can literally sense how much she dislikes her job over the phone. I was a bit hesitant to even make the reservation when I was speaking with her but my family had already made the decision to go eat there. We went in on Saturday and as soon as we walk in the hostess looked a mess. Her hair was all over the place, half up half not brushed, my stomach dropped I thought we were in for a bad experience. However, our server, Alfredo, turned it all around he was so sweet and attentive. He gave us 5 star service, always kept our drinks full and brought everything we needed to make our experience a delight. The food is absolutely AMAZING! Everything is freshly made, with an infusion of flavor you can’t find anywhere else. This restaurant is badly represented by the hostesses, maybe that is why it was empty on a Saturday night. Hopefully, management will take action on the girls up front because this restaurant has great potential and we will definitely be coming back.

I have been here several times since my last review and I’m pretty sure there is a new management team. They seem more attentive to details and over all their customer service has improved. The waits used to be ridiculously long from what I recall but not nearly as bad. Whatever they have done in the past year, I’m glad to see it improve to a well-oiled machine.

First time and it was good. Our server was GREAT. I thought drinks good, but s little over priced. I would go back if invited again, but wouldn’t be my go to.

Website says they are opened until 12am. Just drove from Fullerton to eat here and walked in at 10:09pm and they say they are closed.

4 stars because this used to be our go to spot, & for Jordan the manager! We used to go almost every/every other Tuesday for Taco Tuesday & their margaritas. We actually have been here in a while, & decided to go. It used to be really really good, but the food this time wasn’t for some reason. The waitress said they ran out of beef, which is pretty unbelievable. Being Taco Tuesday. The lady at the table next to us couldn’t believe it either. Instead of the normal shredded beef taco I usually get, I had to get carnitas(they would charge an extra $ 0.50 for Carne Asada). The carnitas was very dry and hard, to where I couldn’t even finish my taco. The chorizo & cheese potato skin was good. The complimentary chips & salsa… The chips, although warm when coming out was more on the hard side. Wasn’t the normal thin & crunchy ones. The hot salsa also changed. I don’t know if I would go back, but do support this establishment.

Great place to stop bye for some Mexican food! They give you free chips and small bite size snacks with it which helps. The food always taste fresh and the service is always up to part. Cleanliness is a plus. I am not sure why this place is always so empty when I go here.

Well I’ll have to agree with just about everyone else on here. The food is great!!! One of my favorites. I’ve tried several different items on the menu and loved everything so far. Their desserts are EVEN better!!! Maragaritas are always a good choice. Food and drinks are 4 – 5 star! But the service, is mediocre! ATBEST! Someone recommend this place to Restaurant Impossible. I’d give the service 2 stars. Not the worst, I’m sure. But some definite room for improvement.

Always a go to place for our family when we really can’t decide what we want to eat… the food here Never disappoints. Unlike some other reviews. we have never really ran in to poor customer service. All of our servers have been attentive and nice and even the staff that are not even assigned to our table are attentive to whatever we need. The food here is yummy! My favs are the chili relleno, chicken enchilada suiza, taquitos, and of course the endless chips and salsa. My kids love the big portioned kids meals. My eldest son loves the chimichanga and my husband loves the chili verde plate and chile verde burrito. If you order the sample platter you can definitely share with two or more people. Many ways to mix and match meals to cater to what everyone wants to eat. Great neighborhood Mexican food place. Love coming here!

I decided to try this place because they had 4 stars and most of my Unilocal peeps gave them great reviews. Took some advice from my fellow Unilocalers Sherri and Rae Marie. I would like to agree and say that the food was delicious. Started with the sampler platter, $ 15. The nachos were the best part, covered in cheese and chunks of carnitas/pork that were nice and tender(possibly used for the chile Verde). The red/pork tamale was too dry for my liking but the cheese tamale was great. The taquitos were OK, I prefer taquitos made with corn tortillas and not flour. I loved my seafood trio platter $ 22. The relleno with shrimp and lobster was great and the lobster enchiladas was oh my goodness great! The shrimp taco was ok. I skipped the rice and beans that came with it(saving calories for beer and dessert). I drank some Negro Modelos with my meal which were perfect on a hot day. My wife ordered the shrimp ceviche tostadas and an asada sope. The tostada were done right. The asada was ok. I wouldn’t order the asada here, not the traditional flank steak cut. Plus it was a bit fatty. Kids meal was typical. OK, now why 3 stars? There were too many little things. I was brought to the wrong beer and then told the beer I wanted was out after I was told they had it. I sucked it up and drank a different beer. I understand that it was close to 100℉ when we came in but it was beyond hot inside the restaurant. I wanted to take a picture but there were people next to it and it read 85℉ inside. It was so uncomfortable that our server was sweating so bad. I understand he was working hard but I don’t need to see my server wiping sweat off his head then bringing me my drinks(management I hope you’re reading this). This happened too many times throughout the meal. The coolest place in the joint was the restroom. I also didn’t like that our table was not cleared of plates regularly. Things just sat there. Then to top it off we were served our dessert(free with Unilocal check in) without any utensils. I wasn’t about to start licking the ice cream off the plate like the kid from a Christmas Story when he ate like a pig at the dinner table. Things seemed to take awhile and maybe because they were understaffed for the evening. The place looks great inside and they have margarita Monday and taco Tuesday which is a plus. We may try again when it is about 30 degrees cooler out. The meal was reasonably priced at $ 86. I left 15% tip. I usually leave 20−30% but if the AC was fixed and the other little things were better I would have been more generous(I actually felt bad when I left because I know people work hard and the job is not easy). Hopefully it is better next time. Keep in mind I have driven by this place for years without giving it a thought so we will see. Maybe a Margarita Monday or a Taco Tuesday will be in the near future.

I know, I know… usually the best Mexican food comes from little mom and pop restaurants or taco stands in LA, I’m in full agreement! However, I’ve tried Las Cascadas a handful of times already due to its close proximity to my house and have enjoyed it each time. It’s 4 stars for Mexican food in Chino Hills. Sampler platter: HUGE amount of food… there’s tamales, taquitos, you name it, all served with their delish guac. Chile Verde plate: Standard dish but pretty well made, it’s also a pretty big portion Chicken Tortilla soup: SKIP this Churros and cream: omg sooo good, AND it’s free with a Unilocal check in! PS: their margarita’s are really good!
