Not going to be coming again. I asked for a simple fade of 1 on the sides and to just thin my hair out on top. I said don’t trim the top. Not only did it take 30 – 40 minutes for a cut that should take 15 – 20 at the most, she trimmed my top! A little uneven as well. I didn’t say anything because i was pissed but i will never come back her ever again.

Son’s hair came out great. My beard though??? Not so much. Took me 7 months to get it long. I asked the girl to trim it only. She cut too much off. And it’s uneven. At least she was hot as hell…

I called before taking my kids to get a hair cut. I asked how much they charged ($ 14 for kids cut) and if there was a wait. Lady who answered the phone said there was no wait. We came from 85 degrees bakery so it literally took us less than 5 minutes to get to this barbershop. Once we got there, there are 4 people cutting hair and all the seats for waiting customers are almost all full. The only guy barber cutting hair today said the wait would be 10 – 15 minutes. 20 minutes go by and we are still waiting. After 25 minutes we are still waiting our turn, but at this point we decide to just wait anyway since we’ve already spent all this time here. We are finally called after 45 minutes. Come on. No wait vs 45 minutes! Be honest with your customers that’s the reason we call ahead! First and last time here. My kids’ cuts were so rushed, so not worth the time and money. Take your business elsewhere.

My husband went in for a hair cut and he didn’t like the outcome of his hair so he asked nicely if it could be fixed & the manager who we didn’t get her name unfortunately was very rude. Very unnecessary for her to give attitude. Instead of trying to help my husband and possible fix his hair she refused & instead refunded his money and turned him away. He will not be returning here. Very unacceptable customer service coming from the store manager. They have no experience in customer service or in cutting hair.

Marvin hooked me up real nice with a combover with a 1 on the sides with ice pick sideburns and he is really nice and if you like casual barbershops then this is the place for you. Definitely a five star experience, but never let the women cut your hair, if Marvin is off or not there let Carlos cut your hair he is the one wit a slight lisp, he hooks up the sides real nice. Overall:10/10

A basic greeting upon walking into ANY business establishment is Customer Service 101. Do not walk into this shop expecting a warm welcome, not happening. My husband works in LA and was happy to find this shop because it is on the way home and they stay open until 7… or at least they are supposed to according to their business hours. He recently made the mistake of walking in at 6:45pm after fighting hours of traffic just to get there before 7pm (mind you he commutes from LA) his barber was counting money and looked completely annoyed to see him. Hello! it was 15 minutes BEFORE closing time, not 15 minutes after! Shouldn’t he have been greeted, sat in the chair and HELPED? Wishful thinking. My husband just told him he’d come back later and walked out when he saw the look on the guy’s face. Unbelievable. I wouldn’t recommend this shop. Spend your money at an establishment that understands & implements EXCELLENT customer service. Yes, it still exists.

I have been taking my son to cut his hair at this place for years now. I’ve always got him same haircut and used the $ 10 coupon in local papers. Carlos, the guy with tattoos on arms with a lisp, never takes the coupon and makes up his own reasons for not accepting it. Now haircut is $ 14 for kids, crazy… And the stuff they talk about aloud with kids present is ridiculous.

I’m very picky when it comes to a barber cutting my hair. I’ve been going to the same barber for years till he decided to raise his price to 25 $! Not here! 14 $ gets u a very good hair cut with excellent customer service & No barber is on their phones or talking about their awesome weekend Lol… Ask for Carlos! Thanks Carlos for awesome hair cut!

I was nervous coming to get my haircut for the first time here but the lady did a great job. I’m picky about my haircut and she actually did it pretty well. I didn’t ask for a line up or anything so it was pretty quick and it only took her 10 minutes or less to get it done. I see mixed reviews about different people’s haircuts but they seem to do a pretty good job for regular tapers.

Great place to get a cut and watch sports center. Been coming here for about 3 years Carlos always cuts my hair and does an excellent job every time. Funny how I see the words racists, pricks and jerks thrown around a lot on their Unilocal page. Maybe because people be showing pictures and asking for a Brad Pitt cut when they be looking like Eddie Munster and then get mad afterwards? Smfh, it’s a barbershop people $ 12 take your $hit to some high end salon if you aren’t happy.

Terrible place came here twice, the 2nd chair from the last he sucks so bad, like he just came out of barbershop school and barely pass, so I thought I give a 2nd chance to this place come back with my son other barber, unbelievable bad, they have no idea how cut they just treat you like some kind of tress.
If you want un-​stylish cut here is a place for you, they will cut your hair unevenly, and poorly style. Never coming back again.

I hate that I have to give them a star. I gave this place 2 separate chances with 2 separate «barbers» and both time I’ve left with cuts I didn’t ask for, and to top it off they are a bunch of rude mother fuckers I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you like getting your hair messed up and enjoy hearing grown ass men talk about other people like high school females. Over all this place is crap.

Do not ever go to the guy with tattoos & gage earings. Hands down the worst haircut I have ever gotten and that was with me giving him tips on how to do a high top the whole time. And at the end of it all he forgot to give me a lineup, I walked out with it not lined up to see if he would really look me in the eye and charge me without lining me, up which he did. I had to come back inside & remind him to line me up. The cut is uneven with the entire back of my head practically butchered. I can not speak for the whole shop but the fact that they allow this guy to cut under their roof says alot. This place is a no go.

Complete racist pricks. If you’re Asian, stay the hell away from this place. The black and Mexican barbers will put less effort into your haircut and sometimes purposely ruin your hair. Reviews might be good, but service and quality is complete dirt.

If u don’t speak English, don’t go here. They are bunch of ass holes making fun of Chinese guy and his kid who came in here not knowing how to speak English. Carlos the Mexican barber messed up the kid’s hair on purpose! This is how they will treat you if you are not Mexican or Black! Ignorant racist jerks!!! Asians stay away unless you want them to mess up your hair because of your race!

My son really needed a haircut.
Our regular barber is in the South Bay and I don’t really care to go to Sharkey’s anymore ever since Julianne left. We just needed somewhere more local and I thought it would be perfect to try this place especially since we were going to Harkins after.
Carlos, a very well built guy with tattoos cut my sons hair. I noticed that he had a nice haircut himself. I pulled a picture of my son with a fresh haircut from my Instagram account and he delivered what I wanted and better without asking.
They have a booster attachment for younger children and he is quick, detailed and good at styling as well.
The haircut is only $ 12, too.

Alcohol — No, I don’t want my barbers to be drunk holding sharp scissors near my head.
This place is close to my house and decently priced. 12 for a men’s cut. They have certified barbers and hair stylists. Reminds me of barber shops you would find in more urban areas. Great guys and gals cutting hair. Will try to strike up a conversation with you.
Not sure what the bias is but I like my hair better when I get a cut from one of the barbers.
