My family and I visit China Grove family house often, the food is great! I love the new look to the interior too! I’ve been trying everything on the menu! The baked ziti was excellent. The sweet potato casserole was delicious! The mashed potatoes were exactly how I like them, chunky! The wait stuff was kind and quick! The best sweet tea!

Amazing fried chicken! Mac and cheese is amazing with Ritz crackers and bread crumbs. Sweet tea is so-​so. Waitresses can be a little unprofessional.
The place is a big, old building that used to be Captains Galley Seafood.

I used to really like this place. Lately, I can’t seem to get my order correctly. I always call in and get the same thing. Hot dogs with extra chili, cheese, ketchup, and mustard.
The people that take the orders should really learn how to shut up and take the order. Every time I called in, I would get cut off with nonsense like «So you don’t want onions and slaw???»
Now this is WHILE I AM ORDERING. They literally cut me off while ordering. Very irritating. This is the last time I call teh place. I have placed their take-​out menu in the shredder, so I won’t forget and place another order…

The prices are great. A family of 4 can eat here for $ 25 or less. The fried green beans with ranch are yummy and the hamburger steak was great with brown gravy and onions.

We recently moved to this area, and are very happy someone introduced us to this little gem! The food is awesome. I usually try to get something different each time, and I’ve never been disappointed. The chicken and rice soup is really good. The hush puppies, which can be gotten as a bread choice are very tasty. We eat here about once a week, certainly worth a try if you haven’t already.

Pretty good! But I can’t help but feel overwhelmed by the different options of chicken chicken and chicken. But it is very good. The fried okra was the first homemade fried okra I’ve ever had and it was amazing! I also tried the dirt cake and that was almost the best I’ve ever had. All of this food though. looked like it was made picture perfect which makes me wonder if it’s home made but I can’t complain because it was good!!!

Good home cooking, fast and friendly. Mic atmosphere. I love the fried pickles. Had the fried chicken once it was a bit salty so I’ve yet to try again. Good portions, you should not go away hungry.

The beef tips are awesome! I eat here at least once a week. Don’t order the fries. The last time I did, they were using rancid oil. That’s the only complaint I have about this place. The service is great, food is served quickly, and even the takeout is fast.

Never again — had to wait for 15 minutes to get waited on, and that was after we asked if someone was going to take our order. She finally brought our COLD food, set it down with the check and never came back by.

The food is great and a good price too. Food is classic American with a mix of dishes, salads, burgers, sandwiches, classics, fried chicken buckets and Italian as well. Service was pretty good too, especially when it was the after church crowd. Also, Family House doesn’t play elevator music, they had classic rock on. Overall, we had good food, service and experience. Can’t wait to come back.
