Petland

As far as Pet Stores go, it’s hard to beat Petland.
If you’re looking for a pet, you will find a good selection of birds, reptiles, fish, ferrets, hamsters, dogs, cats and more. It’s not a very big store, so you may not find everything you need. If it’s not in stock, they’ve got dozens of other stores in the area to pull from, so don’t let the inventory bother you.
The service is excellent. Most of the staff seem to really know a lot about the pet industry and always have good advice for those of us who have a lot of questions. They certainly don’t mind if you just window shop or hug all the puppies. They know that how hard it is to resist playing with a precious little pooch!
The only potential problem with this Petland is its survival. It’s surrounded by vacant stores in a formerly bustling South Hamilton Road neighborhood. It seems to stand alone with a few restaurants around it. It’s not the area it once was, so the shopping traffic has diminished quite a bit. The final holdout that is the area shopping anchor is the old Eastland Mall, which is right down the street. If that goes, so will the neighborhood.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend patronizing this Petland. Great people, good service and the best pet selection in Southeast Columbus. Go pet a pooch today!
