Tried the smoke burger and it was gross. Fries were just regular frozen fries, also no taste. Had a small chocolate malt and it was ok. Served a mix of Mexican/American but no real genre for the restaurant

Do you know what makes Hicks’ burgers good? The buns. Fluffy and fresh. Not mashed and dry like everywhere else.

The only good thing about this place is they deliver. I’d prefer sonic if I’m driving through tho.

Pros: Great bbq beef sandwich Great frozen lemonade Great hurricanes/mix ins Great prices Friendly service Cons: None This place deserves 5 stars or close to it. I’m not sure why someone left 3 when they had only positive things to daddy about it. This is the best drive in I have been to.

We were looking for some lunch on our way out of the KC area, and thought we would first go with Sonic, but then Hicks caught our eye! A local drive-in is a rare sight any more. We were very happy that we stopped by! Besides the standard burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, etc., they had tacos, burritos, and tostadas. There was also a nice shake list, but we weren’t feeling like something so rich to go along with our food. We ordered pretty standard fair — a couple of cheeseburgers, a blt, grilled cheese, and some fries. Everything was perfectly fine. Not bad at all, but not outstanding. The blt contained a generous portion of bacon. I liked that not only did they have the drive-in spaces, but there was also some indoor seating, and a picnic table outside if you didn’t feel like eating in your car. If I ever find myself in Chillicothe again, I would certainly give Hicks another run.
