Went here based on good reviews on another site. Food was ok. Nothing very special about it. Quite simply the burritos we make at home are better. Service was fast and friendly for the most part.

The people here are very friendly and they treat you like family. The food is awesome and the place is very clean. I got off in the morning from work and went through the drive thru about 6:30 A.M. The recorded voice over the drive thru said they were closed. I drove up to the window and a lady apologized and gave me a free breakfast. If you want some great Mexican food this is the place to go.

I appreciate that the beans are actually home made… not some franken food that has been dehydrated in some factory and sent here to be reconstituted. The ingredients are fresh. It’s home made fast food. I personally find the hot and mild sauce to be a bit too sweet and missing an acidic component… but I really appreciate that they make it themselves.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s a fine place, but I guess nothing special. I would definitely suggest it over a chain like Taco Bell, but don’t expect a fine dining experience. Basically it is a fast food Mexican restaurant in a slightly broken down faux Mexican style building. Though nothing extraordinary, the atmosphere is nonetheless inviting and unique. The food is meh. Their tortilla chips have a unique texture that I really enjoy, and the salsa that comes with it is FANTASTIC, but from what I’ve had in their tacos and burritos, they are pretty average. My mom works in Chillicothe and this place has been around forever, so my and a lot of others’ appreciation for it stems from a sort of nostalgic attachment. If you’re looking for a cheap local meal, go for it.

I’m glad my money supported a local business however the food was slightly disappointing. i had their taco lunch special. The taco was good basic taco nothing special or something to write home to mom about. I also ordered the cheese burrito and it was rather tasty. For any of you old timers out there it was very much like the old Zantigo’s cheese chilito. It brought back memories of summer nights after the bars closed… but I digress that’s for another story. My dining companion ordered the house burrito and added an enchilada side item. I tasted the enchilada and it was OK you could tell the sauce was not homemade. It did have plenty of beef so wasn’t too bad. It did however come in it’s own little styrofoam container as did most of their dishes(let’s not even try to figure out their carbon footprint but that’s another issue again I digress) His burrito was OK good amount of filling although it looked like a lot of the burrito real estate was beans instead of meat.(a cost saving measure I’m sure) It was flavorful though. I did notice that as he was eating it it started to ooze down into itself which after just a few minutes necessitated it be eaten with a fork at that point. I’m sure it ha something to do with the inordinate bean content as beans are not very structurally sound. Overall the dining experience wasn’t horrible but the prices made it less appealing. Now I’m not from Chillicothe nor do I live near so probably safe to say that I won’t make a special trip to get some of their food. Although the food was just so so it was a rather expensive lunch. For both it was darned near $ 20 and that puts it into the category of a sit down restaurant price wise. I am not opposed to spending money on my meals but it better be something good for it. So to sum it up next time I’m in Chillicothe I’m not sure I’d come back it is probably better to eat a lunch in another local restaurant or Mexican restaurant for the price or in a pinch make a run for the border. Not horrible but not inspiring either

I give Del Taco four stars because it GREATLY surpasses other chain taco/mexican places out of the water. They are ALWAYS fresh, and flavorful! The staff is always friendly and the service is quick and very affordable. If you are in the Chillicothe area, I urge you to give it a try! I would usually get the chicken quesadilla which would come with a yummy avocado ranch sauce on the side. Just about everything I have tried here has been good! Don’t forget to try the Cinna– Chips!

Not gourmet by any means but solid none the less. If you want quick, cheap tacos or burritos that’s not«fast food» here.

Basically a Taco Bell clone. Is it better because it’s not a national chain or worse because most items come in styrofoam containers(even for«dine in» customers)? Do they score points for having habanero salsa or get docked because it tastes like slightly spicy tomato sauce? I had Combo #3: one crispy taco, one chicken enchilada, «nachos,» a drink and two Cinna-Chips. Everything was mediocre at best, from the sparse and dry chicken on the taco to the greasy and kind of gross dessert chips. I expected a little more for $ 7 and honestly would have preferred a trip south of the border. Oh, and almost every table in the place was dirty, even though there were only a couple of customers in the joint. Maybe I caught them on a bad night.

This is a much better choice to go to than a chain. The food here tastes much better and much fresher. I would normally get the grande burrito meal and it was well worth the deal. The cinna-chips are very delightful and addictive. I also liked the salsa being in a pump and not pre-packaged, since it at least tastes better, even if it’s not made daily.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and quickly served. Two kinds of salsa — mild and hot. A variety of drinks available and ample seating. The place seemed clean and had adequate and friendly staff. I’ll go back again. Very cost effective.

I really like this place! Being a local in a small town, I eat there almost every time I’m in Chillicothe. I think their tacos are better than the Bell. The enchilada’s are very good, reminiscent of the one’s Zantigo used to serve. Cool old building, looks like it’s straight from the 60’s 70′ or 80’s! A bit higher in price than the Bell, but they serve Coke!

Ehh… I guess I’m going to be the dissenting opinion on this one. I find Casa Del Taco to be essentially Taco Bell, but at about 1.5−2 times the price. I really, really wanted to love it being a local, family-run joint and all, but every time I eat there I think, «Man, I could have gotten the same thing at Taco Bell cheaper. With Limeade.» Don’t get me wrong, I’m willing to pay a premium for higher quality or variety, but I don’t think this place delivers on either, sadly.

This used to be my favorite lunch spot when I lived in Chillicothe. Every time I find myself on Bridge Street, I drive through and get one of their awesome cherry empanadas. The best thing ever. Seriously.

This place is not affiliated with Del Taco. Though I noticed that many web listings of Casa Del Taco have a link to . Every time I go home, I visit this place because the food is always consistently fresh and good. It is basically a high quality Taco Bell. I love the crunchy tacos and the enchiladas. And the nacho chips are good as well. In my hometown, it is hard for small, non-franchise restaurants to make it. But this place has expanded to a 2nd location on Western Ave. So, hey, that is saying something. Funny thing about that 2nd location – it doesn’t even look like a restaurant. They renovated a building that was used for tax services or something. And let’s just say, they didn’t do much renovating.
