Great prices, and very helpful, friendly staff. My only complaint is I wish it was in a bigger building because sometimes the store is extremely packed. I still give it 5 stars though. :)
My three year old LOVES to shop here because he likes to push the miniature shopping cart! :) Well have so much fun and just letting him push the little cart is like a special treat for him! Thank you for including this fun little touch in your store.

When I was moving to Chico, 16 years ago, the first thing I did was look to see if Chico had a Trader Joes. It didn’t! I was so sad. But then, years later, it came to Chico! I go once a month and stock up on nuts, canned and boxed items, coffee, teas, cheeses, salsas, sparkling waters, and some frozen foods, including the yummy Mandarin Orange Chicken.
The reason I don’t give 5 stars right now is that they use way too much plastic packaging in the fruits and vegetables for sale, such as clamshell plastic containers.

I have only been to this location about 5 times but this is the first time coming by myself. I went in to find some things to make dinner and I was in a bit of a hurry. I was able to walk around and quickly find the items I needed right away and even got a good beer while I was at it! Checkout was fast and friendly. Prices were cheap and the orange chicken in a bag came out bomb! Will definitely be back again soon. Plus I get off work at 830pm and they were still open. Awesome place!

I love it here!!! They are always sampling new things that I always wanted to try. It’s so nice to get to try it before buying it! Plus it’s super cheap. They are so friendly in there as well!

It’s a pretty decent Trader Joe’s and the only one around for quite a way. I think they can tend to run out of things being this far up north. They probably get less shipments compare to ones say in the Bay Area.

I am in this store about 3 to 4 times weekly and am getting to the point of shopping at S and S or the Co-​op instead. The cashiers have been trained to ask such things as «What are you doing for the rest of the day?» or «Did you just come from work?» or «What do you have planned for the weekend?» This obsession has been embedded in the staff by some management training approach which is annoying and obtrusive. It is none of their business what I am doing for the remainder of the day, whether I just came from work, and the nature of my weekend plans. I could care less what they have planned. Their corporate mentality of thinking that the guest recognition/​friendly/​what are you doing thing will keep peole returning is a delusion. Their ingratiating approach does nothing for my thoughts of repeat business and will not do so for the people not interested in this dialogue.

I’ve frequented many Trader Joe’s before, but this is my favorite. The staff are friendly an helpful, and the products are affordable and quality. Plus, the location is convenient and easy to get to.
I used to exclusively shop at Safeway because I thought it to be cheaper, but when I started to shop here and pay attention to how much I was saving and how good I felt, I made the switch to shopping here.

Great staff. Many gluten free options. Everyone’s ready to help you find items etc. Great atmosphere. I recommend TJ’S to everyone!

The wine manager is always willing to suggest a new wine or beer.
I always try their samples, and it’s fun to make entire Trader Joes meals.

I have a million reasons to love trader joes. Their organic produce is pretty reliable and they have a decent variety. The other thing I love is their organic milk is not Ultra-​Pasteurized. Good luck finding typically pasteurized organic milk at other grocery stores. Impossible. I also love TJ’s frozen food selection. The Chinese and Indian food is great. Try their coconut milk ice cream. It’s a good alternative.
I probably love this location also because they share a parking lot with Dollar Tree. I love that place.
Fun fact: there is a Red Box across the parking lot in front of CVS.
Be careful of their pre-​made sandwiches and wraps. Though they are delicious, they are also full of calories! If I get one I try to split it with a friend.
Last thing: I hear they are currently working on getting a liquor license from City of Chico. I can’t wait until they do because Trader Joes tequila is my favorite!

I absolutely love shopping here. I never have a problem. Everyone is usually friendly except tonight. Two of my items rang up more than advertise. When I told the team member Sara she said, «that’s weird it shouldn’t. Do you still want it?». Instead of going over to double check the sign she gave me an attitude. After my purchase I went over to take a picture of the item and tag. I was right. When I went back to show her she didn’t seem to care. I got my refund difference from her manager Brock. It wasn’t that much refunded but it was how Sara handle the situation. She didn’t apologized nor thanked me. Please retrain your team member Sara on customer service. She needs an attitude adjustment!

This may be a smaller-​sized Trader Joe’s, but it is excellently managed. The staff is awesome, super helpful and friendly. The store is kept clean and stocked. I have only been to two other TJ’s but I don’t feel like they had tons of other things to offer. You can find some items here for less than WinCo or Safeway, or the item will at least be a similar price but better quality.
My must get products:
— Applewood uncured bacon (the best store bought bacon period.)
— Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
— Trader Joe’s Orange Juice from concentrate (so good. I think it’s fresher because the oranges are frozen until boxed.)
— Speculoos Cookie Butter
— a variety of heat and eat pastas for $ 2.99

Probably my favorite place to shop. EVER. Organic produce is pretty cheap considering and they put a lot of it in packs which is cool. Also it lasts me quite a while. Also I love the trader joe brand of everything. Delicious.

When I am in Chico, this is one of my «go to» stops so I can stock up on some healthy items and pre-​made salads. It is always busy, particularly around the samples and coffee area. Also, this is a good place for deals on apples and bananas… one of my traveling staples.

My first visit to a TJ location is bound to be biased, but I left with the fervent wish that TJ will soon open a location in Toronto, preferably close to where I live. For me, TJ beats down other health food stores and supposedly «higher end» places like Whole foods.
Where to begin?
Staff are friendly and down to earth; they are efficient and personable. They make it easy to load groceries out of your cart and find items in the store.
Other customers actually smile at you and make room for other carts in the store (they don’t pretend not to see you whilst they read every ingredient in 5 different brands of cereal).
Love this place!
