The Specific Chiropractic Center

My Fiancé Dave was experiencing alot of issues from cervical stenosis last year, including the loss of function of his right hand. He was being treated by Dr. Gonzales for a few months, and about half way through Dave went in for an adjustment and shortly after his hand began to function much better! There is no doubt that Dr. Gonzalez’ work played a major role in that improvement. Dr. Shane gave me great advice regarding essential oils, and the receptionist Susan was always eager to discuss Dave’s healing journey. It was always a pleasant experience at The Specific Chiropractic Center.

After getting in a mild car accident this Summer, I knew that I needed to get to a chiropractor to make sure there wouldn’t be any permanent damage. I did a lot of research on the best Chiropractors in Chico and came across The Specific due to their emphasis on holistic healing and using an alternate approach than traditional chiropractors. When I made an appointment, I was immediately blown away by how friendly and personable the receptionist was. She really catered to my needs and wanted to make sure I was seen quickly after my accident. I made an appointment to see Dr. Shane Smith the following day and my initial impression continued. Dr. Smith was so kind, and wanted to get to know me before he immediately wanted to see why I was in there. It seems like he really takes the time to establish personal relationships with all his patients and I appreciate that when I go to get treated. He’s so easy to talk to that when we did finally get to why I was there I felt comfortable explaining my accident and letting him adjust me. The adjustment was a breeze and they have the most comfortable leather recliner chairs to rest for 20 minutes after you are adjusted. When I came back after being adjusted, he scanned me and I saw noticeable progression in just my first session! I knew I would be a regular in his office to make sure I was recovering nicely from my accident. Almost a year later, I still see Dr. Smith at least once a month and look forward to being adjusted. Go in and at least get a consultation! I promise you won’t be disappointed. He deals with all kinds of injuries and his patients testimonials on their walls are so inspirational. You have to go to this man! He truly is a miracle worker! Thank you Dr. Smith, I will be a loyal patient for years to come!

I would like to start out by thanking Dr. Shane Smith. When I began coming to him a few months ago, I was taking medicine for high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, severe hearburn and depression. Since then, I am currently off every medication, except my thyroid, in which I am down to only taking twice a week and hoping soon to be off that as well. Dr. Smith took the time to review the last 9 years of my blood tests and doctors reports and came up with the perfect plan to help me get onto the fast track to a healthier me. Not only does he adjust my cervial sinal cord as needed, he also gives me terrific advise about what I am taking in my body. I FEEL so much better these days, lost fat and gained muscle besides gaining energy and renewed strength. I can’t say enough about his bedside manner, Dr. Smith really listens to YOU and guides you to a better you. I have gotten so many compliments on how great I sound and look. I look at food in a whole new light now. If you get the chance to set down and talk to Dr. Shane, you will be happy you did. He comes highly recommended in my book. Keep up the good work Dr. Smith.
