If one is dedicated enough one can occasionally find something quirky but cool, hopefully not too surprised by the fact that it is obscenely overpriced and likely to be worn for a specific event then quickly thrown in a bin of shameful regret.

I went to visit this store one last time before I moved away from Chico and found they had closed! I was bummed. The few times I was here, I found some really fun items. It’s not often that I can look through an entire store and not be bored – lots of thrilling stuff to be found here! The staff were always sweethearts and very helpful. I was really fond of it, so I’m sad to see it didn’t last.

This is a super fun shop! I have found many unique scores here. Also lots of fun costumes for Halloween and dress up days! I’d recommend hitting this place up instead of getting something boring and unoriginal at a chain store like Spirit or Dracula’s Closet. Not to mention it’s locally owned, eco-​friendly, and the staff is always sweet and helpful. Five star fabulosity!

Funky Trunk is very different from other thrift stores. I love that they have the weirdest stuff, because I’m a weird person but it’s definitely not for everybody. I find that I have to sift through everything to find something I like, but it’s always worth it because I’ve found some of the cutest stuff!

–Lots of handmade/​costume pieces
–They carry vintage lingerie which is a huge plus in my mind!
–Friendly staff
–They will buy your funky stuff and give you 50% store credit, which is fantastic!

One of the best alternative clothing stores in the area. There’s a great mix of authentic vintage, remakes, and just funky, fun articles of clothing. Good prices, always check out the sale section in the back!!! The workers are always kind and fun!
