For bottomless mimosas, this place is a great go-to. For a 5 star meal? Not so much. Their food is definitely not bad, I just felt like I could have made my meal better myself. My biscuits under the gravy were hard to cut – with a knife. The gravy was alright, and the potatoes on the side were nothing fancy. Did I enjoy myself? Totally. Am I dying to go back for brunch? No. I might try their dinner sometime though!

The waitress was nice and apologized several times for the problems. The floor manager was missing when we came in, then indifferent. The kitchen was extremely slow — it took us forever to get one hamburger(the waitress said that«fries take a while»…). There were only 2 guys at the bar and two tables with customers besides us, so it wasn’t due to a rush. I’m guessing the cook was out on a break, perhaps? We started to leave, but then our food showed up. This might be an okay place to drink, but I couldn’t recommend the food service. It wasn’t worth the cost. A most uncomfortable experience. Depressing. My reaction as I left was, «Well, we never need to come back here». Then I read the Unilocal reviews here and realized that a lot of people have had the same reaction.

I’m sorry… I think I got the dishwashers lunch by mistake… hungry man… is that you? I think the microwave just beeped! Where the hell did Turandot go?! 2 stars for the view of Big Al’s so I know where I should have went.

First time in the new place for a working lunch. There were several of us and it was after the lunch rush so it was easy to get a table. We ordered and got drinks rather quickly, but unfortunately that’s where the quick part ended. This review is only 1 star because it took us an hour to get our food. This is really uncalled for at an established restraunt — and like I mentioned before, we were not in the lunch rush and there were not many other people there. The food was good, wouldn’t say great or bad, but it was just as good as you could get anyplace else in town, but as we didn’t order any appetizers or anything special for lunch that should have taken extra time I am not sure we will be returning anytime soon.

MY wife and I both had a chicken dish. The chicken was very dry, precooked maybe a couple days earlier I would guess. The best part was finding a piece of stainless steel scrubbing pad in the wife’s sauce. Server was nice and the wine was okay.

Very impressed. I thought it was pricey at first until I saw the large portions arrive. The spaghetti and meatballs was fantastic. Service was pretty good too. Good atmosphere.

The restaurant had a delightful ambiance. The servers are nice and friendly and the food taste great. I’d go back again for another date. This place always seem busy and I thought I’d check it out and I do not regret one bit.

My friend and I came in for lunch today and it was a meh experience. No one was there to greet us and we waited at least 7 minutes before I made a phone call to the place to ask if they were open for lunch. The manager assured us they were so I asked if some one could come out to meet us to seat us. She was shocked and apologetic. She seated us promptly and we waited for the server. The young lady was pleasant but not very accommodating. I asked for a sample of the Italian Beef and she refused saying I needed to buy the sandwich. She didn’t even offer to ask the chef. I chose the eggplant and my friend had a burger. We shared an antipasto plate. It was all average. My eggplant with bolognese was on the sweet side, it really needed salt. It ended up being 53.00 bucks for lunch. Portion size was large which is a positive. It was clean and nice. I am not sure I will be back.

This is in review of a large party(approximately 40 people) that we had here for a retirement party a few months back. I’ve been meaning to Unilocal about it and get reminded every time I drive by. The food was decent. My dissatisfaction results from it being $ 25/plate(which included iced tea/water, bread, salad, chicken and a pasta dish) and them running out of food. The party consisted of three males, and the rest female yet they ran out of everything. Obviously in a mostly female crowd there should be more than enough food seeing as in general, females eat less. We asked for more salad, which they brought but did not receive more bread when asked for, nor anything else. Everyone took small-normal portions on the first go-around(thinking more would be brought out) but they just didn’t replace anything. I was really surprised. This really should not have happened. The only reason it gets any stars at all is because the ambience was nice and the wait staff were pleasant. However, we did go there to eat and most of us left hungry. Do not recommend for your next event or party!

I have resided in Chico since 2006, and being from a city near the ocean have never ordered seafood here, thinking it would be less than acceptable. I decided to take a chance and try Panighetti’s Shrimp Mediterranean, it was outstanding. The shrimp were large, fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauce, OMG the sauce! I wanted a straw to get every last drop. The pasta and veggies served with it were also very good. I am a foodie and this was one of the best meals I have ever had in Chico. May date who is vegetarian could not resist dipping her bread in the sauce, it was that irresistible. We will be back.

Ate here last night with my daughter. Had high hopes after looking at the menu but left disappointed. The majority of the staff or somewhere between depressed and cynical. The salad was pretty good(except for the chewy croutons) and the hostess offered but some fresh ground black pepper on it which I thought was a nice touch. But after a 20 minute wait for my entrée and 3 not quite fast enough refills all my water the entrée was just not good. My pasta was ultra bland, drenched in cheap olive oil with minced garlic and seedy tomatoes. when I asked for some ground black pepper and parmesan the waitress helpfully pointed to the pizza joint style cheese shaker and salt shaker. Daughter’s creamy pesto had decent flavor, but was assembled poorly. The creamy pesto was filled to the top of the plate like soup with and a disproportionate amount of actual pasta. Some unseasoned grilled chicken was chopped placed on top. Disappointed to say the very least. When I moved to Chico 3 years ago, I expected that the Italian food here would be pretty good seeing that we press/grow some of the best olive oil and garlic in the country just around the corner.

Great food, and even though we have never seen the same server twice, the service we have received has always been outstanding. We were regulars at Turandot and reluctant to make the switch to Panighetti’s when Turandot went under, but I am grateful we gave it a chance. In between the lunch and dinner rushes is definitely the best time to go. The ambience is great for a romantic date or a casual lunch, and we even like taking our young daughter with us, too.

Bland pasta and sauces. I can make better pasta at home out of a box. Went twice to make sure it wasn’t just a bad night and it still was a let down. Try cal pasta instead. They make theirs fresh.

Panaghetti’s may have the best chicken fried steak in town. The steak itself was very crispy, but their gravy is what makes the difference in Chico’s chicken fried steaks. Theirs is a bacon, fennel sausage gravy that’s packed with flavor. It’s delicious. The only downside is that because it’s so flavorful from the bacon and sausage, it gets a bit greasy, not really a fluffy white gravy. But that’s a trade off when so many places in Chico have a flavorless white gravy. Still, love their cfs, but the potatoes and biscuit were meh.

Had negative experience. Owner screamed at me over the phone because I wanted my money back after I got stomach ache/vomiting/diarrhea after eating in. He also called me out for leaving a small tip, which honestly maybe I would’ve left a bigger tip of your food didn’t make me sick and if your staff was nicer. He told me he «didn’t give a crap about money» and that he’d give me my money back since that’s what I wanted. Told me he would call me friday(it’s Sunday now” to give me my money back. And he never did. Shocked at his level of ignorance(he used being Italian as a reason and excise as to why he was yelling at me after I asked NUMEROUS times for him to not yell at me), lack of professionalism, and lack of customer service skills. Also heard he used to work at Italian cottage and took the recipes from there! Don’t quote me on that one not 100 percent sure, but the food does look similar. If you’ve never been to Italian cottage, their food won’t make you sick and it’s better prices and BETTER service. Not coming back at all. Still expecting my money back but wouldn’t surprise me if I didn’t. Can’t expect much from such an unprofessional«business owner». Not even going to call him a business man because that’s not how business men act.

My family and I love this place! The food’s legit and the interior and ambiance is nice! They can be really slow sometimes but the customer service makes up for it! Pretty pricey, but the portions are good. And they have champagne brunch until 2PM on the weekends! Yayyyuhh!!!

Went here for Easter brunch and was impressed by the new location, though found the food to be nothing special. For me, my meal was a bit too heavy(I got crab cake eggs benedict) though my mom loved it. We had a super fun female server who was very outgoing and friendly, and overall service was great.

I don’t know what was worse, the poor service from the wait staff or the nasty taste it left in our mouths at the end of the evening. We went here for the first time last night and immediately got the feeling that the wait staff were unfriendly and trying to rush us. The place wasn’t even full, yet they rushed us to order. We ordered the Linguine Vongole and the Penne Sienna and the Linguine Vongole(which comes with«fresh clams») was completely disappointing and quite frankly, unappetizing. I found THREE uncooked clams in my pasta and the pasta had absolutely zero flavor! In addition, the garlic WASNOT sauteed and was just thrown on top. There was no parsley found and the red pepper was nonexistent as well. The Penne Sienna was a little better but not appetizing. We ended up sharing it and didn’t even finish it. Once again, it was that disappointing and unappetizing. We left as soon as we paid the bill and ended up going to Kinder’s in hopes of washing the nasty taste from our mouths(which it did!). All in all, I recommend not coming here.

Place looks amazing, the employees are very nice, but really? We have 9 people on a Saturday at 8, I get it, but the outside has 20 plus seating with zero lighting, I asked the hostess if they maybe just had a few candles for a party of 9 outside and she said«oh we only use the street lights» not very smart guys. Candles cost Maybe 20 bucks and the bill on 9 would be over $ 200. Get it together. Also on the side note the bartender is not good, we asked for a old fashion which is simple to make and they brought us whiskey and cherry juice, the drink was literally red.
