Stopped in on a whim on my way home from work for a family treat. The man at counter prepared everything nicely for me to get the waffle cones home safe and sound. I got 4 flavors of which all I can remember was coffee-​something, coconut macadamia something or other, peanut butter-​chocolate, and some other amazing flavor. All of it was awesome and the waffle cones were fresh and perfect. I had a mild sticker shock when I paid, but it turned out to be worth it. Next time, we will walk down there as a family and enjoy our ice cream over an evening stroll!

I was born and raised in Chico and have never known a Summer without Jon and Bons. I love all of their locations, the downtown one is the best, but that is because I just love the Phoenix building.
Back to this location… I actually like the long lines, people getting froyo are happy, I don’t mind spending a few minutes with happy people. The paint on the wall is a little dreary, but maybe they had to do something to dampen the mood to keep all those happy people in line from pooping rainbows and belting out a show tune or two.
Five stars for happy people singing show tunes while pooping rainbows. minus one star for the temporary sadness when they discontinued my favorite flavor… and plus one start for child hood memories, consistently good froyo, service, and awesomeness.
Love this place, my favorites would have to be the cake batter, brownie batter or the vanilla with cheesecake bites. The only thing I can say is I wish they hired better girls or at least have them a little bit better training on customer service. The attitude and rudeness is a little unsettling, felt rushed out and hurried and was blessed with eye rolls for wanting to purchase more than one ice cream, worst part was there was no one behind me or anyone coming in, they just wanted to get back to gossiping I guess. Good thing product stands by itself!
