Best Indian food in Chico. Lovely owners. Amazing food. The garlic Naan is so good. Great place for lunch and dinner

I am giving this place a 3 Star rating only because the meal was gluten free, with no additives such as MSG and it was delicious. I would eat there again if I can get over the fact that we witnessed the owner using a rag to clean the floor, then using the same rag to clean off the table, leaving me to wonder what happens in the kitchen. On another note, the owner feels it is necessary to lock the bathroom because of their downtown location, and I understand that being a problem but having to bring back the key defeats the purpose of washing my hands.

I’ve tried the chicken curry and the palak paneer. Both very tastey. Neat to meet the cook and owner of the restaurant. They will make special orders too. The Naan bread is cooked fresh from a piece of dough. Yum.

Love Gigi’s café Amazing chicken masala. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for quite a while and feel so full and happy after every meal. The flavor of every dish I try is rich and delicious. My favorite Indian place in Chico!

This place is great, good is great only wish they were closer to me. All the chicken dishes are delicious but the vegetarian ones are by far my favorite.

Not really sure what all the great reviews are about. This place is like the Panda Express of Indian food minus the good part. No seafood options on buffet line and naan bread tastes like stale pita bread from the grocery store. Wine was stale and tasted very old. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for Indian food. Or eat your own shit, you’ll enjoy that much more.

The food was pretty good. I’d give it 4 stars. But the staff is what makes this place! Super accommodating and very friendly.

Ambience: This place is reminiscent of a cafeteria. There weren’t many Indian-looking décor. Food: At e$‘s recommendation, two colleagues, he, and I came here for lunch. There are vegetarian and vegan friendly options. I got palak paneer and curried tofu with rice, which was very tasty. However, it had too much salt. My mouth was dry all afternoon after eating lunch there, even though I was drinking water the whole time during the meal. I’d still drive up Esplanade to Priya to get the lunch buffet if I had the choice. Service: You order what you want, and the server places the food onto a plate. You pay at the counter. You get utensils and water on your own. Tip: You need to borrow the bathroom key at the register to enter the bathroom.

I went to this place to other day and was pretty impressed. The food was really tasty and the restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating and free WiFi. My only big complaint is the price. The«student deal» was not a deal at all. It cost about 10 dollars and it was not very much food… I could have eaten 2. If you go here dont order the student special, just order a regular entrée with rice.

I came here a few days ago. The chicken tikka masala is delicious. The vegetable samosas are some of the best I’ve ever had. I really recommend coming here. Its really delicious.

So much to choose from! I wanted to order everything, and I probably could have come close… There’s a $ 15 plate with rice and four entrees. Hm, tempting. I opted for the two entrée and rice plate instead. Picked the potato and cauliflower dish and the chicken curry. Plus a samosa. Everything was good, but I liked the cauliflower and samosa more than the chicken. I guess I wanted it spicier? I totally forgot to order naan, but I’ll do it next time since I’ll definitely be coming back.

Ordered the student meal and a drink which came out to around 10.00. The tikka masala portion was so small I was able to eat it in about 4 bites with a spoon. The flavored were good which is why I gave it 3 stars. A little more entrée portion would be appreciated. I left a little disappointed.

I’ve had buffet style Indian food before so I didn’t think that it would be an issue. It is not an all-you-can-eat buffet. You only get a small portion and it’s not worth the price. Also it tasted worse than the frozen kind I get at Trader Joe’s. Won’t come back here again.

I STILL love this place as you’ll see from my prior reviews. Here is the new tip– call ahead by 20 minutes and request the Tandoori Chicken. Most of the food is cafeteria style not made to order, so it’s quick, the Tandoori Chicken is the exception but OHSOWORTHTHEWAIT, and no wait if you call ahead. I’ve ate here many times and never remembered to call ahead for the Tandoori chicken, and finally pulled it off. This is marinaded to perfection and everything you love about BBQ, you’ll find carries to Tandoori chicken. With a side of Samosas you are in heaven. HEAVEN! PS– Gogi’s bring back those wraps for the farmers market I was so excited when the market started back up, and then so sad when the wrap wasn’t there! As long as samosas exist I’ll never stop coming by, but I do miss my wrap.

Such tasty food! I wish I could afford to eat here more often. My only complaint are the prices. You do get a ton of food to be fair. I recommend this place for Indian food beginners. They let you sample the dishes which is amazing. They make their naan to order and it’s so good. Super friendly people who work there.

I love Gogi’s! Indian food close to downtown, available on a drunken night and the staff are friendly and helpful. They know I’m vegan so as soon as I walk in they point out all of my options(there are often more options than my stomach can handle.) I recommend the samosas and aloo gobi!

Excellent Indian food. It is set up like Chinese takeout so you get your meal fast. Friendly service. Good flavor. Not too spicy.

Delicious! I love Gogi’s Café. It’s my favorite lunch spot downtown. It’s cafeteria style with fresh Indian food. Almost all the dishes are gluten free, which is great for me since I have Celiac. I just can’t eat the naan(and a few other things), but my boyfriend says it is good too. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala.
