I love the gated in playground and even more that I can take my kids where I used to play as a kid. Such a beautiful park and a must for the little ones. Perfect for a picnic as they have plenty of tables, benches and grassy area.

After reading some reviews on the park I figured I’d add it to our pit stop list. Well, the main playground was roped off and been for a while based on comments from others and the water feature wasn’t working. I’m sure it’d be great once everything was running smoothly. The main playground was at least 10′ hotter then then other areas from the reflected heat and lack of trees. It was high 80s when we were there.

Caper Acres is very kid friendly. The cement cheese slide, the castle, the pirate ship with the sea monster and the Slide House are all great play areas. Even the Humpty Dumpty Sand lot is not that scary! A lot of the reason why this park is so great is because volunteers help contribute to the repairs and maintenance. Only draw back is no dogs allowed and there funding is limited to maintain the park, so there are areas that are closed for repairs. Birthday parties here at the park are short but sweet and it all feels very safe for the kids to run and play.

I’m first!!! I used to love this place! Humpty on the wall and the cheese you could crawl through. I also remember it having better slides than hooker oak. Hope it’s still safe these days
