I first learned about this place when it still had a BYOB storefront in Lincoln Park. A few glasses of wine and chicken pasta made for a good family style meal with friends. Unfortunately that location closed and now Zig Zag is only a delivery option in my book. The Spicy Chicken Pasta is a favorite, but i have ventured to try the Shrimp Pesto Pizza as well. Both are absolutely fantastic. The spice in the pasta and the fresh taste of the pesto/shrimp make for a perfect pizza/pasta combo. Taking one star off as the temporary re-branding to «Pizza Carpi» and location change were both unfortunate, but the food is 5 stars in my book. I believe they offer delivery though GrubHub if you aren’t looking to cater in quantity.

Zig Zag Catering prepared a delicious chicken vesuvio and rigatoni meal for a large group for me last weekend(50 people). The meal was piping hot, packaged nicely and ready at the precise pick up time. When they found out I was delivering the catering to a homeless shelter, the owner even gave me a discount! What a great addition to the neighborhood and a business with a strong sense of community!

My company always gets lunch catered from Zig Zag, and I’ve gotta say, those tangy pasta shells are SO addicting! Super creamy, probably unhealthy, but whatever. They order other stuff like BBQ chicken salad, which is also good… but… those shells!

Pizza was lukewarm and tasted OK What really got me was the $ 5 dollar delivery fee. Delivery fees are essentially a scam that gets customers to pay for labor and and tricks them into thinking that the delivery fee is a tip but it’s not. It is extra money that the business gets from the customer and the driver sees none of it. It’s a crappy business practice and will keep me form ever ordering from them again.

I love you zigzagged catering for over a decade. I am in sales, and I often have to cater lunches dinners breakfast etc. i’ve actually seen their kitchens because the owners have given me a tour. Everything is prepared fresh daily; fresh vegetables, fresh salsa, salad, and fruit are made within hours of when I place my order. Their delivery service has literally never been late for me at all. Everything that they have prepared for me: whether it be tacos, scrambled eggs for breakfast, pasta, pizzas, salads, have all been perfection! The owners are extremely responsive via text and email and will pick up the phone at any time you call them. I guess, the best way for me to prove how great Zig Zag catering is, is to let everyone know they catered my father’s retirement party and my moms birthday. That’s the best I can tell you about them.

Such delicious food and friendly service. I had been waiting to write this review for a couple of years and am finally getting to it now. I used to go to their Lincoln Park location through my entire undergrad at DePaul and even had our engagement party there in 2012. The entire party planning process was super easy and the management worked with my fiancé and I to find the best price per person. I have planned many parties with different organizations and I cannot even begin to tell you how many people can’t do their job. But at Zig Zag… wow! The management was responsive and helpful and in the end we had such a great time. As for their dishes, I love all of their salads. My favorite is the Lime Cilantro Chicken Salad. That vinaigrette is so good. My favorite pasta is the truth colored tortellini and bestie loves the shells with salmon. One of my favorite things is that they give you a chocolate chip cookie when it’s time to pay the bill. I can’t wait to visit you in your new location :)

I’m surprised at the negative reviews. We’ve ordered from Zig Zag multiple times and the food is always delicious. I’ve also used their catering and they are always beyond accomodating. I will order from them again!

This place is pretty awful in terms of delivery. I ordered some food from them via grubhub. It took 3 hours to get here. The food was at least hot. I’ll give them that. But it’s nothing to write home about at all. A lot of it went uneaten, as while it was edible… it wasn’t that good. I don’t know how they have a GH4 star rating at all. When you combine the really slow service, with the mediocre to middling food… this place is just not worth it.

This would be zero if I could. I had co-workers call 3 separate times for lunch today and the story kept changing every, single time. First they said they normally don’t deliver since they moved but with the amount of people we had they would and we could have it as early as 10am which was great because we needed lunch by 11am, then when we were ordering they had to double check on delivering and no sandwiches or pizzas anymore and not sure why we weren’t told that and they could deliver by 11 or 11:15, so we took 4 minutes and changed two orders and the third and final time we called they said they wouldn’t be here until 12:30 because they are so busy and who did we speak with any of the times because they don’t deliver unless it is catered. Get your stuff together Zig Zag. If you deliver then deliver and if you don’t then SAY that from the get go. Don’t promise service that you can’t deliver on. I LOVED your place on Lincoln and ordered there all the time and recommended it to people. Get your team on the same page because I guarantee if you don’t this is going to be one of MANY1 star reviews.

Food was very good, but delivery took way too long.
