A friend of mine refer YM U.S.A moving company to me because of reasonable rates. I call them a week before I was to move, which was set for March 31st, 2010, at 1:00pm Wednesday. The man who always answer the phone call me a little after 11:00 am to tell me they are going to be late because the truck that was suppose to move me had a accident, and that another truck wouldn’t be available until 5pm. I told him I didn’t expect to move that late. So I ask«are you sure one will be here at 5pm» he said«yes». Come 5pm, no truck shows up. So I gave them 15 minutes before I called them back to find out where are they. The same man answer the phone, he said he was going to call them and find out where they at. He also mention that they were coming from the south side, and if they weren’t there by the time he got thru moving someone at the time, that he will come and move me with a extra helper for the same price. I NEVERGOTTHECALLBACK. So at 6:30pm I call him back, now he’s not answering the phone. My friend that was there to help me with the small items even call them on her cell phone so that a different number will show up, 15 minutes after I did, and still no answer. I try again at 7:15pm, still they are not answering. Mind you, this is a 24⁄7 number! I couldn’t search the web to find a last minute movers because I had already taken my computer down. So, I had to call another friend to do the searching for me on his computer, and he gave a number, I call them around 7:30pm, they were there at 8pm. I didn’t completely moved in until 2am Thursday. Plus I had to pay more. It was very upsetting. I call YM U.S.A. movers back a couple of days after settle in my new place to make a complaint, same man answer the phone. I ask to speak to the owner of the company. He ask what is it that I need, that he could help me with whatever I need. Again, I ask him that I need to talk to the owner, he repeatedly said the same thing over, that he could help me. It was back and forth until I got fed up, so I let him know who I was, and how I didn’t appreciated the way they treated me. So again, I ask to speak to the owner, now he tells me she’s in FL and probably won’t be back until the following week. I ask that he please tell her to return my call, I very much would appreciate he gives her the message. He said okay, NEVERGOTTHECALL!!! Today, 05/25/2010, I call again and ask to speak to the owner, same man answers the phone. He just kept asking me,” who is this?” I said«I would like to speak to the owner please» he reply with the same answer then hung up the phone on me. If this company is legit, why is he asking question to who am I and why am I calling? If you are the owner then respond with respect to the callers. Maybe YMUSA movers should be investigated. This is the second time movers has screwed me over. I was better off renting a truck and having my friends help. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDEDYM U.S.A. movers to anyone.
