Totally into Yes Thai, my favorite Thai place in Ravenswood. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. I have tried their rama chicken, ginger vegetable stir fry, red curry, woon sen, pad thai. The broccoli in the rama… come to think of it, I had shrimp instead of chicken… the broccoli was so perfectly cooked. The peanut sauce was great. Everything else we’ve tried has been awesome. Comfortable dining in or taking to go.

I live in MI but travel to Chicago about 10 times a year. Now that my grandson showed me how to order food on Grubhub, I’m a rapid fire orderer when in need! While my daughter was at work I decided to stay in and take some ‘Me” time and read all day. Well reading can turn up the appetite! While looking through Thai places on my new iphone app, my daughter told me to check into Yes! Thai. I have to say the Pad See Ew is AMAZING– much better than Penny’s noodle

Love this place! Great food at good prices. Cozy but cool interior. Service always very nice. B.Y.O.B. is a definite plus.

I’ve had lots of Thai, and this is the best. So happy they are walkable from my home. I’ll admit, Indie Café hands down has the best crab rangoon, but Yes Thai wins on everything else… Tom Yum soup, Pad Woon Sen, Pad Thai, curries. Get the shrimp rolls appetizer. If you haven’t been… go.

Overpriced. Nothing spectacular. Could of definitely got the noodle dishes for cheap without all the extra up charges at other places. If you’re gonna up charge for food make sure you pack the correct food. Got charged $ 2 for brown rice and came home with white rice. Didn’t bother going back to get the brown rice. Don’t need a credit cause I will not be going back. Overall disappointed and unsatisfied.

This is my go-to thai place. I’ve moved away from the area so I can’t order take out as often as I used to(or dine in) but every time I’m in the area I make it a point to try and get my hands on some chicken pad thai. With that said, I’m sad to say my last experience was so poor I won’t be a returning customer. I was 3 blocks away at a friends and really hungry. I only ordered for myself and picked delivery since we were in the middle of a movie. The driver that came was perfectly fine until I handed her the stuff back and then she asked me for a tip. I looked at her in shock and she said«please, can you give me a tip?» So I took it back and gave her a dollar. I am by no means a frugal tipper. If I order take-out and its 2+ miles away or it is close to closing time I generally tip(dining in I always tip!). But this place just so happened to be no more than a few blocks away. I paid 3.50 for the convenience of having it driven over, and while I normally really enjoy anything I order from here the experience left a bad taste in my mouth — there was no room to enjoy the pad thai.

Tried this place out before a birthday party we were going to in the area thanks to mostly solid reviews. The space inside is very modern, clean and pleasant. After we sat down, it was clear this was a popular place due to the number of carry out orders and number of walk-ins. However, the wait staff was having trouble keeping up and it took a very long time for us to receive our food. We ordered the baby egg rolls as an appetizer first. They were fresh out of the frier, so they were a little hot, but very crisp and delicious. My wife ordered the pad thai, which she said was OK, but for whatever reason, the smell made it less than appetizing. I ordered the Pad Ki Mao with tofu and thought it was pretty solid enough to take the leftovers the next day.

WOW! Best Thai I’ve tried since moving from SF to Chicago in 2013. The meat was tender and the sauces were flavorful! The heat/spice is present, but it doesn’t overwhelm the dish. Our favorite was the Panang curry, but the salads and noodle dishes were also very tasty. There is a great corner store a couple blocks south on Damen that stocks a fantastic craft beer selection– we will have to remember that next time(BYOB).

One order of Veg fried rice had 30 pieces of baby corn. Customer service is also funny«we don’t do it here» attitude. Food taste different every time you order. I will give this place one more try.

This is the closest restaurant to us, so we go here pretty often. The service is always fast, prices are reasonable and the food is good. It’s a very small place with only a handful of tables. The décor is mod and sleek looking. It’s BYOB with no corkage fee, so feel free to bring a bottle of wine. My favorite things on the menu are the crab rangoon and the sweet and sour chicken.

I’ve been going here for a couple of years, as my previous reviews show. On Saturday a couple of weeks back(2⁄28 I believe), I had a whole new experience. On Saturday, I ate a light, simple breakfast before a busy day. After running a ton of errands, cleaning my apartment, and working out, I was ready for dinner with my fiancé. We ordered dishes we’ve had before. I ordered the red curry, which is one of my favorite foods. Everything seemed on point, until about one hour after I ate. There are some things that no person should see another person do. And the results of the food poisoning I experienced forced my fiancé to witness sights, sounds, and smells that are above and beyond the call of duty. I talked to my doctor, talked to my pharmacist, and they all confirmed that this was definitely food poisoning, and were even pretty sure they knew the type. I know sh*t happens… I mean, it REALLY happened for me. So I don’t believe the restaurant is dirty or that they don’t care about food sanitation. I believe that a mistake was made by them or one of their suppliers or distributors, and that happens from time to time. What I don’t appreciate is that when I called in a frantic state, having just sh*t myself, the manager on duty made no apologies, just excuses. She looked up my account, and she knew I was a long-time customer. And she did not even try to help the situation, but just insisted that there was«no way» it was their fault(and then putting the phone down and frantically asking other employees how long it takes to get food poisoning…). It was really unprofessional. It was very frustrating. I won’t be eating there again, which is a loss for everyone because it’s a result of the poor service, not the food poisoning. I even left my contact information with the manager on duty so that she could have the regular manager get back to me, but i never heard back. On the plus side, I now know how to lose 4 lbs in 3 days.

Really delicious food! We ordered from here for lunch and we quite pleased. The panang curry was spicy and yummy according to one coworker. Another got the tofu satay and LOVED the peanut sauce. A favorite was some sort of beef dish that I don’t remember the name of… and I got the tom kha soup. The soup was very different than tom kha at any other Thai places I’ve been to. It was more curry colored than white, but it was fabulous tasting!!!

Decent Thai place, nothing earthshaking, but consistent. We always order for delivery when busy working but can’t face pizza. I’ve never actually been inside. It’s slightly more expensive than the quality of food seems to warrant, but it’s fast, hot and tasty. Delivery is prompt and the ordering process always goes smoothly. Portions aren’t gigantic, but I can usually split my noodles between two meals and I like to crack an egg over the dish when I warm it. It’s better that way. I recommend the special Pad Thai over the regular one. Had the red curry, it was ok, sweet and hot without much nuance. The vegetables and tofu seem fresh, though, and it was filling. However, no sticky rice. It’s too bad, but I don’t hold it against them since they probably can’t get it anymore between the reduced domestic crop due to drought and the ostensible West Coast port dispute. It’s even said we’re in danger of running out of soy sauce in LA, heaven forbid. May this scourge soon be lifted, and let commerce resume its joyful operation in all quarters. I’m going to make a point of visiting in person and also ordering some of the different dishes I hear others praising, and maybe I will become more of a fan. A solid option if you need decent food brought to you quickly, or takeout.

sooooo good and tasty, love this thai restaurant. my husband and i travel to Yes Thai about once a week or 2 and we love it. The place is clean, the food is great and we love everything about it. i suggest trying the duck or beef salad with brown rice – very spicy and good.

People do not give enough 3-star reviews in my opinion! I have been here a couple times in the past and several more times since good friends recently moved right down the block and it’s a really convenient order-in option. I’ve tried a variety of menu items and never left feeling overwhelmingly satisfied and yet I’ve never left feeling disappointed. Maybe I just have not found the ‘one phenomenal dish’ that would bump my rating, but I still hold true… there’s something for consistency. And nothing has been bad. Dining in would put me more on the 3.5 stars side of things if such a thing were possible as the staff has always been pleasant and accommodating. So overall may not be a «Oh Em Gee, drop everything and go here!» review but still… go here. It’s good.

Yes thai has it down. Everything here is great, I’ve never been let down by them at all. All the appetizers are awesome, the crab rangoon is a little more fancy looking than most other crab rangoons, and its got the right amount of filling to breading ratio. I don’t like tofu too much, but I’m a fan of their crispy tofu w/peanut sauce, its also great to wash your pallet. The garlic chicken noodles are the winner here, and the drunken noodles, get those. I’m a sucker a sucker for their Pad Ki Mao, so I usually get that. Their service is excellent and delivery is fast, great spot to order from.

Decent but not great. I ordered the mini eggrolls which were ok, the drunken noodles w chicken which was good but the chicken was blah, and the basil beef which used ground beef and was oily but didn’t have the sauce I love. I would get the drunken noodles again without any protein, but idk if that is enough to bring me back. It was worth a shot!

The atmosphere is upscale and well thought out. With only two, there was no wait time for a table, though the location could definitely fill up quickly on a busy night. I tried the Pad Thai, the Pad Prik, and the Basil Tofu, all three standard fares I often compare from one restaurant to another. It was decent, though not as good as others I’ve had. If you’re in the area it’s an option.

I was recovering from the flu and was craving carbs. I did some soul searching and concluded that drunken noodles from Yes would satisfy that craving. I called for delivery and was told my noodles would be at my door in about an hour. I was finally getting my appetite back and an hour seemed like an eternity. But, Yes came through for me because in about 30 minutes I got a text that my noodles arrived, and a friendly delivery guy was at my door with bag in hand. The drunken noodles were super spicy and fresh with crunchy vegetables. The noodles were straight from the kitchen hot. So delicious! I would say yes to Yes.
