Bought a groupon for the ‘speakeasy’ game for me and a guest. Luckily for us all, the Logan theatre had a bar. There were 20 people in a small room and our moderator Andy(who was actually pretty awesome). Let’s just say the ‘game’ was very complicated for 90% of the people and most were walking around confused for the night. We all got cards, which you could trade for other cards, or make people show you theirs. You have a ‘role’ and a team, the mob or fed. You have a rat. You want to find out who is on your team and who is not. And almost every person has a different password. The game would have been A LOT more fun if the ‘password’ was all the same for each team. That would have made it more enjoyable and less like a cluster f*ck of people walking around confused the whole night. Speaking apart from the one or two know-it-all people that had done this before(or are huge ‘mafia’ players), the best part honestly was the waitress topping off our drinks.

Had a unique and fun time exploring the«labyrinth» Pedway during out visit to Chicago. Though there were a few technical snafus, the scavenger hunt was well thought out and definitely was a challenge! I also liked that it incorporated Chicago landmarks as well. I’d be up for checking out their other adventure — Speakeasy — as well. One suggestion: I feel like though Waxwing attempts to make the adventure cool and spy-like, they could do more to further this image(eg. man with a briefcase should be a guy in a black trench and sunglasses!, we could have cool team names like, 007!)

Very fun activity if you are visiting the city of Chicago. We all seriously felt like we stepped foot into a movie.
