I lived across the street from this Walgreens most of my life and since I’m a diabetic I’m always at the pharmacy there and I must say the pharmacists are very nice and knowledgeable. As a woman I buy a lot of makeup also and the lady that’s always in The Beauty Department is very nice and helpful. I actually live 2 blocks away from the one on Harlem and Forest Preserve Drive but I’d rather drive to Addison and Austin to this Walgreens

Staff was as courteous as they were knowledgable. I was greeted at the door and throughout the store as I passed by other staff members. The staff that helped me knew where everything was immediately and didn’t have to look around for it. I was in and out quickly, everything was great. I wish more businesses ran like this.

I go here at least 5 times a month and there is ALWAYS a line. And on many occasions the cashier is chatting away with another employee… usually bad mouthing coworkers and cussing. Just trashy.

What a bunch of clowns. I just came from a vacation in Cancun and went here to develop my photos. Yes, they got them all developed within an hour, but they were all developed incorrectly. Many of the pictures were cut off too short so people in the pictures either had the tops of their heads or feet chopped off the frame. Just about every picture that I had was about three or four f stops too dark so what seemed like a bright picture on my computer came out dark and unclear after these pictures were developed. Finally, some of the pictures came out reddish after development which was really odd since not a single picture was red when viewed on my computer. The funny thing about this is that I had 25 of the 207 photos developed in Mexico by a local developer and he managed to get every print correct for less then half the price that Walgreens charged me. Last year, I had a local CVS develop my Puerto Vallarta vacation pictures and every picture came out with black stripes across the top and bottom so I had CVS redo the pictures which were done correctly the second time. It’s pretty lame than in America, you can’t even get some pictures developed correctly the first time. I ended up taking my pictures to Wolf Camera just to get the pictures developed correctly even though it cost me $ 10 more.

Walgreen prescriptions are 2 ½ times what Cosco charges and doubles what Target Charges– They do not inform uninsured patients of options. I am not insured for meds and found this out by mistake. What about the elderly person who stops taking medicine because she cannot afford the prices at her neighborhood Walgreens but does not have the ability to shop around. This is so wrong on so many levels. Neighborhood Convenience costs something but should it cost $ 50.00 more? I don’t care what Walgreen charges there customers but shouldn’t they at least inform their uninsured customers of lower pricing. We are not talking about Kleenex. I bet Walgreens advise their own families and neighbors to shop somewhere else. Regional Managers are not calling back – «they are visting stores.» Store manager did call me back but bottom line he does not control pricing AND feels no responsibility to inform customers of high prescription prices. The pharmacist at this store feels the same way and has«no idea» what Cosco or Target charges for prescriptions.
