Vip’s A Gentlemen’s Club

Ha! I just got a note regarding this review saying no girls came up to us because we weren’t tipping and they’re not going to break a sweat for free. Actuallyyyyyyy, we DID tip. We tipped the only two girls who danced. No one else deserved a tip. I’m not going to tip a girl for walking around a pole. There’s no skill involved there. If you want a tip, do something impressive.
«We’re not going to break a sweat for free.» Um doesn’t the club pay you to dance? If so, you’re getting paid to break a sweat. If not, you should break a sweat to EARN your tips. Why should we hand you money for doing nothing?
Other people have also complained about these girls be bored and lazy. I’m not the only one. HENCE, the 2-​star rating. Maybe instead of attacking your customers, you should go and learn some pole-​dancing moves. Maybe then, you’ll get tipped.

Lula was pretty cool, but other than that I’m not at all impressed. Girls were pushy and very boring on stage. They advertise Wednesday as one of their busy nights, but the place was damn near empty.

I was there with my girlfriend — we were there for 2 hours and 1 girl came and talked to us. All the girls seemed to want groups of guys with money. I spoke with «management» about the situation and they told us to «fuck off». Ohh yeah it was a $ 20 cover for each of us to get in. This place is a rip off and it sucks.

They are so bad with treating the international people. I was so polite with them but they are soooo bad. Just be careful bc they have no a manager over there…

Dropped lotsa dollars and the guys took them down to the corner very quickly minimizing the incentive for the girls to dance near my money. A hispanic dude tried to start a fight with me several times because I was trying to get a lap dance in the closing 45 minutes and I guess it was in his section. I wanted to kick his ass but left because his friends suggested I just do that. Overall a really shitty birthday. I’ll stick to restaurants to spend my money especially on special occasions.

This place is a joke. I’m embarrassed that I came here. The girls are decently hot, but it’s topless and then they strip down to shorts. It reminded me of the strip club scenes you’d see on a TV show on a network television station, where they can’t show much because kids might be watching. They also charge you $ 20 if you want to sit by the stage. What strip club charges to sit in sniffer’s row? Are you kidding? It gets worse. The $ 20 dances are air dances where they don’t touch you at all. It gets worse! If you ask where the ATM is, they lead you outside and point to the Chase bank down the street. That’s right folks, a strip club, where nearly every transaction is made in cash, has no ATM. It’s like The Onion got in the strip club business. Seriously; skipping the strip club is better than going in here. I’ve never said that before in my life.

Strippers stole my friends credit card in the champagne room on the night of his bachelor party. Besides that we had a great time!

Hey Unilocal please let a ZERO star be an option… If you are visiting, from ANYWHERE, do not waste your time or your money on this place. There is no wonder cab drivers from the airport give free passes to get into this embarrassment of a «strip club»

I went to a strip club but no strippers !!! It was my friends birthday on a Tuesday and we decided to go to VIPs. It’s four females and we walk in at 2 am, we sit at the bar ready to pick out a girl for the birthday girl, but no one ever went on stage! There were no strippers in the club! The bartender was so nice he gave us the first round on the house, we ordered another round waiting for the girls and nothing. The bartender said that all the girls were in the champagne room. If I were to manage the strip club I would always have at least have someone dancing on stage. As we left the bartender gave us the second round on the house. So we went to a strip club but saw not one stripper! HA! So if you guys want to see strippers this def is not the place to go!

I would give this place no stars if I could, all thanks to one very rude staff member that I sincerely hope you never encounter should you come here. Honestly, the girls working here were attractive, very sweet, and hardworking. Our party of 4 came in very early, 7 pm or so on a Saturday right after an early dinner. We had one guy and three girls, all there celebrating an engagement party of one of the girls. The club was almost entirely empty except for a few tables in the very back. As soon as we came in, we sat right next to the stage and started tipping the girls who were dancing. Anthony or Tony, a dark skinned gentleman in a suit, approached us and said that we had to pay $ 20 to sit at that table, although the entire club was empty and we were the only people tipping the dancers. He was very rude and nonchalant about communicating this message. While we were somewhat offended, we tried to keep having a good time and moved to the bar. Please keep in mind that this is after buying several rounds of shots and drinks at our original table. We continued tipping the dancers. Then a beatiful Polish dancer we got a lap dance from (for the bride in our party) got off the stage, and Anthony/​Tony proceeded to yell at her right in front of us. She was defending herself and almost crying, saying that she only left the stage after her two songs were up. He said that she should have staid on the stage because people kept «giving her money». It’s especially hilarious because our party was the only one tipping her, practically no one else was in the club. Not even 10 minutes later, Anthony approached the only guy in our party and very rudely accused him of taking photos of the dancers with his phone. Our friend barely had his phone out at all, and obviously was not photographing the dancers, since his girlfriend was one of the attendees! When we communicated this to Anthony, we were told that he’s worked at the club for 11 years, and that the entire club has stayed active and open thanks to his hard work and vigilance that entire time. Thankfully in his time of employment, he hasn’t let «assholes like us run wild.» I (the bride in our party) told him that I felt he was being very rude to the customers and dancers alike, and he proceeded to tell me that I needed to «shut my mouth» and that «this conversation is over,» rudely walking away. That is when our party of four happily left. My advice to you is that the Admirals Club or even the Industrial Strip right on the IN border are far better options than this place. While this place serves alcohol, it is at a ripoff price and the girls have rather large panties plus large pasties on their breasts. The inconsiderate and blasé customer service approach only exacerbates the situation. If this is how Anthony treats a group of three ladies that are courteous and tipping the dancers, only imagine how he will treat a group of bachelors there for a party! Please go elsewhere, especially since so many better options exist. I only feel bad for the lovely ladies that work here.

This is the worst club I have ever been to. They charge you 20 $ to get in then if you choose to sit «vip» it is another 20 $. Not one girl came around within an hour, when one did she was extremely rude. The management is terrible at this place, stay away!

As I from Nevada I might be expecting a different experience but this place is horribly setup well for large groups. There is only one table with two girls dancing and you have to pay VIP rate to sit next to table. Now I would think that you would want guys who are looking to have fun at bachelor party to sit next to stage and spend money but instead all tables have VIPs and they already have girls with them? Then when you put dollars down you expect the stripper to pay some attention to you. But instead a guy with a broom (seriously a broom) sweeps up the dollars before she comes by? Now lastly the strippers all have pasties and they seriously just work the crowd asking if want dance and then leave no interaction.
To sum up: If you are having a bachelor party do not go here! Not topless as have weird pasties on, horrible setup with only one table for dancers so can’t get close, would give the strippers a 5 in regards to looks (do have talent on the pole though) but seriously just totally different than what I normally expect for a strip club.

$ 20 cover. $ 20 to sit near the stage. Dont touch other customers or you will be told to sit down. $ 5 shots/​strippers all looked like they just gave birth. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.

I don’t get all the bad reviews, my friends and I had a great time when we visited this past weekend! No cover, we got great seats, drinks were a little pricey I GUESS but… When in Rome!

I’ve been to most of the strip clubs in the city and this one, in my opinion, is the worst. The cheesiest, most expensive, and lowest quality. The ugliest girls. And it’s pretty dirty too, even for a strip club.
As most of the other reviewers have mentioned, the girls wear nipple camouflage. This is because of the absurd Illinois law that states you cannot sell alcohol around naked women. This is the way that VIP’s has chosen to deal with it — the other two clubs I’ve frequented are the Admiral, which is fully nude but no alcohol, and The Pink Monkey (my fave), which is BYOB and panties-​on, tops off ;)
I’ve been dragged to this hellhole a few times by friends and if you have to go, at least hit up a cab driver for some free passes, otherwise you’ll be paying a $ 20 cover to get in. They even charged the ladies in our party full price, which is usually unheard of.
The atmosphere here is probably what gets me the most (or the lack of pretty girls). Everyone seems bored or angry or sad. This is no party; this is a money-​making, back-​breaking, slave-​driving enterprise, and not even the customers seem to be having fun.

About a year ago a buddy from New York and I extreme cheersed (cheers so hard your bottles break) at VIP’s and they didn’t kick us out. Could have been because they thought he was Dan Auerbach,
but either way that specific experience was enough to keep this review from potentially making this blog

Besides that one hilarious memory, VIP’s pretty much VIP’s. (Very Intensely Pisses me off) The girls are super aggressive, they don’t have an ATM, (yeah…at a strip club) and they try to enforce a cover charge even though you can get free passes from almost any cab driver or hotel in the city.
Chicago’s not exactly known for it’s nude establishments, but compared to places across the country I’d have to say they rank pretty low on the Strizz-​o-​meter.

Pasties aside (which is disappointing), this place is a scam haven.
BE VERY CAREFUL OF CHARGES ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. The management has no qualms about overcharging you, and hoping you’re too drunk to realize it. And not small amounts either.
I was getting a series of dances and they only take credit cards (Red flag right there). The manager, or whoever, said do want me to ring it for $ 150. I said sure. He comes back 1 minute later with my slip and it is rung for $ 330. I told him it was wrong, and he said «I thought you said three hundred». I’m usually one to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but this guy was just blatently lying to me and trying to use my Credit Card as his own personal ATM. I almost left but I was with a group of friends for a birthday outing. They try to purge your wallet with ridiculous overcharges like $ 20 to sit next to the stage. Unbelievable.
